The benefit of pastured chicken in organic or natural farming will help more Filipinos to increase their incomes in raising more chicken to their backyard or vacanf lot area.........I like it...,......

I had enough capital now and I love farming or poultry since I was a child I definitely love this sort of livelihood when I feel tired working here abroad. The advantages of this livelihood you don't need to leave your house because you can do it in your back yard if you have vacant lot.

Nakita ko dito sa U.K mga ideas kung paano mag alaga ng manok I'm so excited na umuwi na sa Pinas at magpaultry nalang as my bro so successful to their piggeries. Food consumers demand in Phils are getting high now than it used to be.Normally gusto din ng manok ang madadamo na kapaligiran prang play ground nila at hiding place. The more na happy ang manok at natural ang pagkain Nila mas masarap ang karne. Iyan ang dahilan kung bakit Mas mahal ang organic na Manok ( double price kompara sa cage chicken) dito sa market kc natural ang paglaki it means less chemicals rich people love to buy this chicken at the same time matagal alagaan kya magastos.

Amazing! Never thought puwede pala i-freerange broilers. At present I am using crushed garlic, ground pepper, oregano and chili labuyo as part of their immune system boosters. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sandy, We've seen this video years ago and now reviewing it again. This inspired us to have a farm like yours when we finally settles in the Philippines soon. We also re-watched all your videos. We plan to farm colored chicken from Dominant Asia by Doc Erwin but definitely use your system. Thank you so much.

Phyllanthus niruri paste or powder, shallots, Cummins paste or powder and turmeric powder in equal parts (add to feed), will save your chicken naturally from diseases. Spreading Calotropis gigantea leaves inside shed will avoid diseases too.

I very much enjoyed your vlog. I notice that this vlog is almost 10 years old. Are you still raising broilers? I was doing something similar in Michigan, US. I did it somewhat differently as I kept them in bottomless cages 2 meters square, that I moved 1-2 times a day. I'm hoping to move to the Philippines soon, and hope to lease some land in one of the provinces. I would like to talk to you more.

I am doing this on a small scale here in Fort Bragg CA. USA is not ready for healthy, natural chickens yet, but maybe soon. i also breed my own broilers... Wish I could visit her farm...I dont agree with her feeding regimen entirely but they know a lot! Global free trade regimen is trying to stop local, natural farming...

+Arnab Roy Its not easy to find information here either. The industry puts out propaganda saying its not possible to do this, but it is. The best part is if you do it right, if you give them green grass and a varied diet and make them exercise (like putting the feeder 100 feet from where they sleep) you will have chickens so good to eat people will be willing to pay a LOT for them. Set prices high and sell to fancy restaurants (but only after your first year)

That's where I find Pamora Farm & Sunshine Farm differ from each other. Pamora farm is open to the public "because we have nothing to hide" whereas Sunshine Farm lies on "biosecurity" so they don't allow people to go and see the inside of their farm.

4.The white chickens you raise are they the cornish/rock cross that are grown commercially in the US?
5.What percentage can one expect their chicken to feed on natural feeds if one has multiple fields of Kangkong and can plant most anything to support chicken growth?
You help will be appreciated. Looking forward to talking with you

    Hello,
I am currently in the US and have decided to start a small size (1000/1500 birds) chicken farm in South Luzon/Bicol region. We do have the property and hopefully can grow many times larger.
The two reasons for doing so is for my family to have another business to supplement their income and to have a good organic chicken supply for people in our area.
    I have few questions/inquries.

I loved this system of raising chicken but this type of model is just a free ranged and we cannot call it pastured poultry. Free ranged chicken farming is raising chicken out on the field with no fencing at all and the chickens can forage and access to grass IF they wanted to this system is the best example. But pastured poultry farming is a system that the farmer raises its chicken out on pasture, chicken LIVED on pature with a floorless pen (chicken tractor) with a DAILY MOVEMENT on the fresh grass. Free ranged and pastured poultry is not the same this is a common mistake that people do when advertising their products.

What i understand from what she is saying is that they used to grow colored chickens as opposed to the white variety which is what their chickens are right now, their farm is isolated, meaning they do not have any neighboring poultry farms, they do not administer antibiotics or vaccines to their chickens, they give fermented plant juices made from garlic, peppers, and some other spices and oriental herbs, they use commercial feeds sparingly and only those that do not have any antibiotics and hormones, their chickens are allowed to range all over the yard, they do not allow too many visitors in order to prevent outbreaks of diseases, they do not even allow too many people to get near the pens, they also use azolla, minced water hyacinths, and some other water plant, as feed. She also says that the area where the chickens are to be raised if you are located in a warm locality should have some shade trees, the grass is never cut and allowed to grow because the chickens feed on them too 14-day old chicks are allowed to range already but are given chicken booster feeds in the afternoon only otherwise, they would taste like the ordinary commercially grown chickens. I hope this helps you.
