Without possessing land troops and resources Lu Bei managed to gain a lot of powerful warriors like Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun after that Wei Yan, Huang Zhong, Ma Chao and later Jiang Wei. Shu had a very powerful arsenal of generals
I only played DW8 so I decided to watch all the cutscenes of DW7 since many people say it has the best storytelling of all the DW titles and I must already say that I would want a reader aswell in DW8.
As for me, I only played DW7. Now by looking at the end of the cutscene, it seems to trick people into believing Zhung Liang died peacefully in his sleep but how was it possible that they show Zhung Liang being alive in the DW8 opening. It is almost like saying it is possible to revive dead characters.
I am glad I chose to do Shu Story last. After all, the opening introduction cutscene had been about Shu all this time. 32:06. That will have to be how Zhao Yun's running for his life with the baby in his possession got started. So all this time, while Zhao Yun's partner Zhang Fei yells step forward, the opening cutscene had already started for Zhao Yun. At the time Zhang Fei was fighting off the crowd, Zhao Yun was running away, climbing on walls, riding horses while standing up, jumping off the water fall with armies chasing him. This is how Zhao Yun fought off the army while protecting the baby all because Zhang Fei stayed behind to fight off the army while Zhao Yun runs off with the baby. Zhang Fei planned all this just for Zhao Yun to become a babysitter.

If playing the Jin Story, that whole story in Jin is after the death of Zhung Liang. In Jin Story, Jiang Wei did lose his benevolence way. Jiang Wei was fighting for vengeance. So without Zhung Liang alive to guide Jiang Wei, Jiang Wei ended up giving in to hatred. All this time, Zhung Liang was like Yoda from Star Wars. He was there to prevent Shu from turning dark. Jiang Wei was refusing to give up fighting even at the cost of fighting for revenge. Jiang Wei even gave in to hatred which was similar to what Anakin did in Star Wars. Take a drink whenever the narrator says: "Finally, Liu Bei had a land to call his own."
Dw7 had the best story telling
