Excellent video! I'm an electrical engineer from Brazil and I work at a supplier of HVDC substations. We have a HVDC line here that is 2300 km long! In contrast we also have back to back systems that convert to HVDC and transmit at a distance of probably around 10 meters or less haha, just to convert it back on a different frequency. This only shows the several uses we have for HVDC and how amazing this technology is.
I understand the basics of the HVDC transmission system. But I am unable to understand one problem of the transmission line being built by the Chinese government in Pakistan that the towers are getting black with conductors on the vertical and horizontal side and when asked about this from the Chinese they said that Due to the deposition of charge, the dust particles accumulate on the tower. While I am not satisfied with this answer of the Chinese engineers, because according to my knowledge, apart from the Chinese technology, the transmission lines of other countries (Canada and America, etc.) are not black from this location. Please help me in this matter.
HVDC series is something i was searching on youtube for a long time and after not getting results i was confined with books. But now Sir you are going to help many ee students. Keep uploading sir😊, always thankful.
Your video has proved very helpful for me. I have already cleared 2 interviews for the post of assistant manager in transmission line first Indigrid 2nd Tata projects and I am currently working at 400/220kV GIS Substation Prayagraj asset Owner tata power company limited. Sometimes I visit 765/400kV.
@Gaurav,I have one question: as you mentioned, a direct connection between two AC systems with the same frequency may be impossible. How does the power plant team perform power synchronization?
Can you please make videos explaining 1) Seeing through transformers, 2) Capacitor bank interface, 3) Positive sequence, zero sequence, and negative sequence impedances ??
Thanks sir ✌️ I'm preparing for UPPCL SDO this type of content helps me a lot . Please make a detail video on Power electronic components used in Transmission & 33/11KV sub station
I dont know what happened the subscription are increased but views are decreased we are the learners from his electrical community try to share these contect with your electrical guys and get more informative videos from him

In your video, you said high voltage transmission lines cannot be interconnected, but in Singapore, we have three generation stations with step-up to 400kV, which are interlinked at the main 400kV transmission line. How it possible!
Let consider , if L-G fault occurred in HVDC line then how does distance (21) protection is enabled because in AC systems Impedance based protection is present.
When AC is turned into DC, it's never "real " DC. It's more like chopped pieces of sin wave. It's the same principle that telecommunication systems use in wireless transmission, but the other way around. The digital signal is transformed into analog then retransformed into digital..
Back in the beginning of electricity, nothing used DC power .. Now, everything runs on DC. Even motors are now powered with DC.. ( AC rectified/chopped into pieces/pulsated ) .. REAL/NATURAL DC power, is only possible with chemical reaction bateries.

2300km…that’s huge. Thanks for sharing

I’m myself a Chemical Engineer and Chemist from BITS Pilani & Find ur videos truly informative ! Much appreciated & thanks !
Glad you like them!

@@GauravJ Thank you very much sir 🙏
Very useful thank you Gaurav.
Always amazed me with your electrical knowledge ❤❤.
Thank you!
Highly helping video ..wish to see more pn HVDC in simplified manner from you.
@Gaurav,I have one question: as you mentioned, a direct connection between two AC systems with the same frequency may be impossible. How does the power plant team perform power synchronization?
Two power system who are already delivering bulk amount of power.. not the regular one. ..

Can you explain about Induction melting furnace please 🥺
Can you please make a separate video on the relationship between kneepoint voltage and frequency please..
Sir I am Testing and Commissioning Engineer I want to know about HVDC protection. What type of protection is used in relay?
Please make a video

Thank you ♥️ really appreciate
It is possible to connect a 50 Hz system to a 60 Hz system indirectly. Use a motor-generator pair.
Could you explain about transposition tower in AC transmission line?
Very Informative....Pls make video on LVRT and HVRT test..
Will try

Hello , nice to meet you all the best wish you dear my teacher
Plz make a video detailing the difference between AC circuit breaker Vs DC ckt breaker
Will try
Sir please make videos on relays and how to configure it
Thanks for making, but the accent is difficult.
Could you post another video where MS Word reads the script?
Simple and understanding vdo
Bro how Fault will be cleared in HVDC? is there any circuit breakers or distance relays
Yes HVDC breakers are there..
How are line loss decreased in HVDC?
Helpful
Thanks for the feedback

Hello sir, do you have the video or course for Earthing / Lighting / Cable size from scratch?
Not yet

Two systems which are already transmitting bulk amounts of power! For normal systems it is perfectly fine.

So you go from 3 phase AC, convert into "single phase" DC, and reconvert into AC..?!😊
7:13
Why do i always hear that DC travels less well than AC ?
Let consider , if L-G fault occurred in HVDC line then how does distance (21) protection is enabled because in AC systems Impedance based protection is present.
In the inversion stage of HVDC, it just inverts the DC, and doesn't convert it to proper sinwave, or doea it?
When AC is turned into DC, it's never "real " DC.
It's more like chopped pieces of sin wave.

The rectifiers to turn ac to dc and inverters to turn dc back to ac must be huge/ robust.

Yes
Sir now Power Grid has HVDC from NE to Agra
Yes!

Its not a good comparison..
There is not 4 wires more on AC, than on the DC.
There is only one wire more.
