Totally get being near to like minded friends. I miss my car club (Nissan S chassis) buddies from England. We always did stuff together and installed parts together. I owe so much to my friends. Being in PA now... I just don't have that anymore.
sand anodizing off past weld area, then weld like norml. you can weld straight to anodizing but you have to punch through the oxide. aluminum melts at 1700f and oxide is like 3000f. set your machine to 200amp(max it) then full throttle till you make a puddle then dab, let off and let the puddle cool. hit again and repeat (core idea is to liquify all of the oxides per pulse). takes practice and if you can, set frequency to around 100hz helps. built a few boat towers and live guard towers thats what i ran. if you want more in-depth pointers let me know.
I prefer all black accents, but the white is also cool. I will probably never have an STI, but there are at least 2 subarus i'd like to STI swap someday in the probably distant future.

@@Smeedia I can say from my experience that they look for a cat and they do a simple OBD port scan. No tailpipe emissions tests any more. That said, I did take it to one place and had to physically walk over and point out the cat because they thought the wideband port was the O2 sensor port and that I didn't have one 🙄
