People are different. Hair types are different and have different requirements. Not every product made works for every individual out there. It's not like she had multiple variations of her product for all different hair types and excluded one for African American hair. She is a newer brand with limited money and resources and only has one product.
I would like this video even more if they included the links to the products/companies that were pitched. They're essentially giving these people publicity but then not giving the audience the easiest way to find the products if they want them. I know that if something is pimped out in a video, but it doesn't have the link to it somewhere in the description, I'm less likely to go looking for it.

I had the same thought. Although it’s a spot treatment, don’t you think it could be too strong anyways? Making acne dried out and irritated? Sensitive skin require lots of trial and error, but 10% BP is a bit of a jump. It will MAKE the customer rely on moisturizer to fix the drying issue... hence buy more of their products.
I’m a sensitive skinned person with acne issues and got really excited about that product until they mentioned BP - I’m allergic to BP, many people are. Their system isn’t gentle or made for sensitive skin, it’s just like every other BP acne treatment out there

I don't think wet hair absorbs more. Because once it is full of water, it cant absorb anymore. That is why they say to wet your hair before getting into a chlorine pool; so it doesn't absorb a lot of the chlorine. Right? I'm super interested in the science behind that.
How much moisture your hair absorbs/retains depends on porosity. Wet hair isn't necessarily more or less absorbent, but an oil or conditioner added to damp hair helps seal in the moisture. I think that is what she meant to imply-- emollients like lotion and conditioner help seal in moisture and create what we call a "moisture barrier." Wet hair is more /stretchy,/ however. That's why you should be careful when detangling fresh out of the shower!!
You can probably be more liberal with it when the hair is wet because the water acts as more of a barrier to the oil, so in fact the hair absorbs less of the oil. It’s when the hair absorbs the oil that it changes the appearance of the hair to become soft and shinier.
Honestly I love hearing about small, independent cosmetics/beauty companies!! I think this concept could be an entire show in itself! I would’ve loved to see links to the companies in the description bar, because I had to scrub back through the video to find the names of the companies I was interested in.

There's has been a very rushed aspect to videos lately that I can feel as a viewer (although I might just be overthinking this). Like out of Buzzfeed? With no budget, what exactly could they do? The Try Guys talked big about doing more stuff than they could at BF, but they are doing exactly the same stuff. They are even recycling ideas - they have 2 "Keith eats stuff" videos, one Eugene drinks video, and did "middle schoolers makeover the Try Guys" 53 weeks after they did a "high schoolers make over the Try Guys". About half the time they don't even beat Safiya's recent 1 week views count - 4.5 million in 5 days. Of course they have 5 times the people and release twice a week. They aren't even matching their own average views from their BF days. All they have done is release more often. Now look at Ladylike - they have never come close to matching the Try Guys in views. Those are the negatives, but I wouldn't have guessed that Safiya was going to beat Ladylike in views on her own either. But I don't see how the remainder of Ladylike can. This leaves out the fact that many of the Ladylike group have some senior titles.
the meli monster hi friend! I have an easy technique I use when cleaning my brushes! I use my towel bar in the bathroom, take a hair tie and put it behind the bar, then loop brush through it! They hang nicely upside down to dry and they’re out of the way :)!

The makeup brush cleaning kit is so overpriced and none of it is new or innovated. There are plenty of upside down brush holder stands and brush cleaning trays and mits online if you look for them for a lot cheaper.
The brush cleaning box would be useful for painting, too. I usually just use my hands, tho. FYI, don't wash the base with hot water, or limit how much exposure it gets to heat. It can damage the glue keeping the bristles on. I'm assuming makeup brushes are basically the same 😅
