Hear that voice saying "distraction" at 0:46 , remain strong brother even thought you may fall. show God that you are willing to get back up and repent, Cleansen away the muddy stains you fell in. Glory be given to the lord for his mercy is never ending -Psalm 135
Regarding the description, I feel the need to express my opinion. I relate. You're not destroying your relationship with Christ by doing these things. He will always be there for you - his love is not conditional. I was confused regarding this as well, thinking of the Old Testament (which focuses on punishment), and that's why I renounced Christianity. I later learned that love is actually what Christianity is about. I also found other reasons later for not believing, but that's irrelevant. Faith is useful, as long as it actually HELPS YOU. And in fact, punishing yourself is unproductive. You're worse off. Honestly, I've been there - with the self hate - and it only leads to depression and a shitty perception of life. This does not mean you can't find points for improvement. It means you should respect yourself and be your own friend, not your enemy. That's what self love means. It's a journey, and it's a necessary step to becoming a better person and actually enjoying life. Mental health is a crucial step. I can recommend watching Dr K. But the most progress you'll make is through introspection. Journalling is one method of doing this - you write down your frustrations and emotions, and then go deeper into the cause. And deeper. And deeper... and, repeat a couple dozen times, until you find a root cause. It might be uncomfortable. But it leads to better mental health. Just write things down in Notepad, or on paper. Go free-form and write whatever you're thinking of. No one is judging. I like to use Notion. For the "lust", which I think I know what you're referring to, I REALLY recommend looking at The EasyPeasy Method. It's a short document you can find online for free. Worked for me, and I haven't watched any porn in over a year. I don't feel the need to - _because_ of the way this explained it to me. For the laziness, it's also a journey. One I'm also in. I really liked The War of Art by Steven Pressfield (you can pirate the epub on Anna's Archive online, and read it using something like Play Books). It touches on motivation and actually getting work done on personal projects. I also recommend Atomic Habits. This laziness isn't personal. It's human. You just have to understand when your brain does it and how to control it. Best wishes. Genuinely.
after each sin, pick yourself up, repent, pray to the Lord and keep trying. its a lifetime of struggle. that’s what we sign up for as Christians. its the most difficult life. ☦️
