i always come back to planetside like once a year or so and binge the hell out of it for weeks. There's nothing else like it. you can play alone and go for individual goals (camos/titles/weapons/upgrades/etc) or you can join a platoon that just wants to kill or an organized platoon that is coordinating with other platoons and the feeling is much different. This game is awesome, but unfortunately its age is starting to show. If Planetside 3 releases, it's a MUST play for anyone into FPS games.
definitely. There's no other experience like it. Anyone who doesn't try it will never know what a game of this scale is like. If this genre became more popular, more games like it would come out. And I'd definitely play them. Planetside 2 is still a great game even today. Especially with all the garbage that keeps releasing.@@RaidenHuttbroker
@@DrPlans personally I’ve been okay with most of the stuff that’s come out. I don’t think there’s an update that I haven’t liked yet since CAI. But that’s just my opinion From the whispers that I’ve heard (and even I take it with a grain of salt) sounds like the game is going to be steered in the right direction
This game is still so much fun, the only thing that holds me back is 3 things: 1. I'm EU and Cobalt + Miller both are just meh.. VS are introverted non talkative sweats that rather go for 3 way fights instead of alert, TR = Overly competitive and strict so not taking part in a play they want to make results in a kick from squad and/or outfit which honestly makes me feel like I'm being yelled at for not doing my job while trying to chill and have fun, NC = overly populated on both servers with like 40-50% of pop most of the time 2. None of my friends play this game actively anymore, the occasional friend passes by every now and then 3. For the love of god i can't decide on my main faction (i have all 3 on both servers) Extra point: NSO is probably my most played at this point but not being able to join a main faction and outfit unless paid membership grinds my gears.
Yeah, that's why I only mentioned 4 servers. Miller and Cobalt are still healthy (as far as I know) Soltech is too (besides cheaters) and Emerald. I hope Connery has their character transfers soon. Supposedly its in the works

It's just too hard to play as a new player; I've tried several times and it's just a lot of hassle to get one shotted; that becomes a real turn off because nobody enjoys spending 5 minutes going somewhere to get sniped with none of your shots seemingly having effect

I can respect it that you feel the age is starting to show, but it’s still so much fun and I would recommend new players get in on the action.
