    You have got to be the most patient person in the world. You are such an excellent teacher! That bracelet looks amazing! I really love these chainmaille bracelets, because they are beautiful and labor intensive. Now I haven't looked on eBay, or anyplace, but I cannot imagine these bracelets being churned out in China and then sold here in the US for a cheap price. I mean, maybe I'm wrong. This problem is why I closed my hemp necklace store in 2000.

    You are perfect Yvonne! The way you explain it is simplified. Some tutorials complicate the technique, making it seem impossible, you and your techique, are brilliant, congratulations.

    This is like knitting with metal and rubber. I'm fascinated with it! You do such a great job of demonstrating it in a way that can be easily followed! Now you've got to stop giving me new ideas to experiment with, so I can get the stuff I already have to do, DONE! lol! ;)

    Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! I have the hardest time closing my rings the right way, honestly feel like it's my tools, they just seem to slip off, I Don't know what I'm doing wrong! Also wondering about the smaller dragon eye video you mentioned doing will that be soon or how will you do it?? I really like your videos best!! Wish I could take a class with you!!

    Love this project. I just wonder if perhaps using a lighter colored or white rubber rings (if they make such a thing) instead of the black would make it easier to see on camera. I know that when I've photographed black knitting projects the black just doesn't show it's stitch definition as well as lighter colors do because the black yarn blends in with it's shadow. Thanks for all the fun videos.

      they are, but I'm stuck on one right now. its been sitting here unfinished for about two weeks now. I think its due to it being a good type of queen and coming up with an interesting design and colors to paint the stones has got me stuck, the evil queen took a couple of days (after work of course). why is it that good is harder to finish and the evil took me a couple of days? does that mean anything about me????? hahaha EVIL QUEEN ROCKS. did you see it by chance?

    hi there Yvonne, thank you soooo much on your amazing tutorials I just started weaving and I learned so much thanks to you. I was curious if there is any chance that you will make any more videos possibly of King mail/vertebrae, vipers basket and/or elf bridge? I know some of those might be the same not sure but you are the best explaining everything

    First off let me say that this tutorial is very nicely produced. You're articulate and appreciate that you are comfortable, and that you are succinct. No ahs and uhms. Well done. My question is; are the O rings 5/16ths of an inch also, and do they also come in a gauge? Thank you so much. I've jotted your name down and will be looking for other tutorials. Great camera angles, the best I've seen.

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Dylan! Thank you :) I get the rubber rings from www.theringlord.com and they do come in gauges as well, 16 and 18ga. The inner diameter used in this video is 5/16", I hope this is helpful!

    I just got my rings from The Ring Lord...and now I'm sitting here, starting to feel the fear as they stare at me, unopened. Time to suck it up, grab my two pliers, and get to work. Chainmaille and I haven't been friendly yet so this could be interesting....

    • @TruthificationChronicles
      @TruthificationChronicles 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ring one, yep, looks like hers. Ring two, yay! Ring three try one, nope. Try two, nope. Rewind the video. Try three, yep! YAY! (My neighbors probably think there's a madwoman living here!) Ring four, ugh, nope. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Teeth gritted. I'm going to do this. You shall obey me, ring!! Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. YES!!! Okay, maybe I'm getting the hang of this...nope. Ring five, a true struggle, ring six, more of a struggle. Literally sweating buckets (it was a bit toasty here today). Ring seven, did I just get that the first time?? Ring eight, nope, that's what I get for getting a bit uppity. Try three, yes. Ring nine, I think I'm getting it. Started wrong, but corrected myself before I closed. Ring ten, right the first time! Ring eleven, it's sooooo starting to make sense to me!! Had a bit of a glitch near the end and had to take about five out (lost one of the rubber rings...those things are like Mexican jumping beans!!!). The last ring put up a bit of a fight, but I tamed it! AND I ACTUALLY DID IT! WOW!!! I feel like I just won something spectacular. :o) Sure, it took me three hours to do, but I DID IT! Now I'm going to to bed feeling rather accomplished (shhhh, don't look at the scratches on the rings or how they're not closed as nicely as they should be...one skill at time...lol).

    Hi, Yvonne! I get my anodized aluminum rings from The Ring Lord, too. I've seen you tumble silver, but how do you remove burs from finished AA projects?

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Shay! I have had some success with running AA projects through the tumbler dry with plain rice; I'd recommend check it every 10 minutes at first until you get a feel for it to make sure to AA is holding up

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes I will make an inch or two of a weave and then count to see how far that got me, and decide from there how many rings I will need to get the length I want :)
