    Great video and tire. I am
    Running the 45mm ones right now on my new Marin DSX1 as that is what the bike comes with.750km in 4 weeks on these including a 130km day on pavement. They performed really well. I averaged 25 km/h so they roll very well.

    Having ridden these for over a year I'd say this is a very fair review.

    Ran this on my last gravel bike and it was an excellent tire especially for someone new to gravel coming from road. The 37c is a perfect in between. Went 1500KM's with no punctures until some thorns finally got me. I'm probably going with the new Raddlers in 40c for my current gravel build. I've read it rolls even better then these somehow.

    Be careful! They tend to slip when cornering on tarmac in wet conditions.

    Great timing I am currently looking at this in 45c for my revolt advanced 0. I am looking for something a little more aggressive for sand but still do lots of road to get there.

    I can agree from central europe. After three months have to say they are for me surpressingly pretty fast rolling on concrete. Terrain also very stable for sure comparable with mountain bike tires even in light mug. Gently wet surface also keep rolling when riders thinking.:) I do really not just the roads, so I think iam right owner for this tyre.:)

    I missed the most import part, tirepressure. I had a Cube Nuroad and always ride below 2 bar. in a mix of road and off road. Thesen are great tires by the way

    I realize that this all comes down to ones area and weather (and personal preference), but for me the Nano's are far better and more versatile for mixed surface riding. They might be slower on smooth tarmac, but way better in gravel, dirt, loose/loose-over-hard, not to mention mud. The "tractor"-inspired angled tread sheds dirt and mud well and the semi-connected center knobs rides reasonably well on hardpack/pavement. The tiny "micro-knobs" of the Riddler doesn't work for me at all. Would be very interested to see your take on the Raddles, though. I do agree that WTB tires are awesome to work with, and usually mounts dry with no problem, even with a floor pump.

      Lars G. Gudbrandsen yea I liked the nanos a lot and did a cross season on them. It does really depend on so many things what tire is best for your area

    Great video! I'm considering a set of Exposures in 36 since I'm 90% road and when I do gravel it's super mellow.

      Chris Guilfoyle yea I have a review of the 30c exposures but would love to try the 36c next

    I just changed my tires from tubes to tubeless yesterday. the front wheel was kinda difficult. But it was also my first time doing that...
    The rear wheel worked perfect!
    Im just asking myself how much bar i should ride with. I dunno....

    I used to run these and love them on gravel in the dry but here in the UK we have wetter conditions on a more regular basis the Riddlers have a tendency to slip out when climbing. As such I swapped to the 42mm Resolutes which drag more on the road but come alive in all off-road conditions.

      Any recommendations for lightweight, fast tubes, please?

    Terravail tires would be sweet! They make some different looking tires and offer different casings.

    Will you also review the raddler or the larger mtb size riddler? Could you also review the Michelin Grip'R in 2.0/2.1 tire size? Any of the Vittoria gravel or narrow(2in/50mm) xc tires. Also, the Teravail Cannonball on the 700x47mm size please?

      @@LockedinCycling Thank you. There is also the Riddler in a 2.25 size that be interesting to see reviewed if you have a frame that can hold that size.

    Great info... New to the biking scene and just bought a Salsa Journeyman Sora . It has the 650B WTB Nano 2.1 on it. Love the bike and the tires seem to be solid. I am 150 lb rider and dont carry alot of extra weight on the bike. How low can I safely run the tire pressure to smooth out the rougher roads? 35-70 is what it says on the tire itself. Thanks for all your content It helps out us newer to the sport!!!

    My bike came with the Donnelly Explorer tires and I love them. I have this one as my next one to try whenever I need to replace one. Looking forward to getting it on there. Do you run different tires for front and back or do you just keep them the same?

    • @LockedinCycling
      @LockedinCycling  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uly Yanez I run the same tires front and rear on my 700s but I have in the past run different 650b tires front and rear on my old tcx

    What is a recommended pressure for these to be more on the comfort side?

    • @LockedinCycling
      @LockedinCycling  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shooty Deluxe depends on your rim width and your weight but I’ve run them as low as 35 psi

    Can anyone please help me out....I bought my first gravel bike and it came with these wtb riddlers in the 45 size. I wanted to swap the tires out for a set of 32 gravel Kong’s...but I am having the hardest time removing the wtb tire off....I can’t get the beads to pop and I can’t even squeeze a tire lever in there! I have a road bike that I’ve changed the tires on plenty of times and pops off easily...not sure why I’m having such a hard time with the wtb😭

    • @LockedinCycling
      @LockedinCycling  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ricky Vo it happens with any tire brand and some rim combos that are harder then others, remove your valve core to let all the air out possible as you slowly work around and around the edge of the tire. You can try putting mechanics gloves on to give your hands more traction to get tire off it’s bead
