    You hit the nail on the head with your commentary, in my opinion. I'm just starting to get back into offroading again. I'm at a major disadvantage than most people because I'm using a 1986 AMC Eagle Wagon. Love your Vids BTW, and thank you for your insights.

    I took a stock terrano II up there, it was a few years ago and that step wasn't as bad. There are a few lines to choose, and had to go right to left to right to get up there.
    More capable vehicles went strait up the middle. Was a fun morning until a mates range rover lunched its transfer case 3/4 of the way up with an inexperienced driver at the wheel. A mid obstacle driver change is never a good idea, but was required. They got it down again with a thumb sized hole in the side of the case.

    • @MadMatt4WD
      @MadMatt4WD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s always a challenge getting the balance right. I know most people have no desire to wheel these types of tracks but these types of tracks show the principles best. Thanks for the kind words

    Owning a heavy Tourer I probably wouldn't attempt to drive it but if I really had to get to the top, I may have used double line pull and winched myself up in sections.

    • @MadMatt4WD
      @MadMatt4WD  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. In my 105 I’d be crawling and then winch and drive. I don’t think I’d need a double line pull though.

    Great video Matt I sub to his channel and he dose some crazy stuff that just looks like it shouldn't be possible.
    Side I'm very much a believe in getting a stock 4wd and going out to wheel in that and just build your 4wd up to what you like to do.
    I can't understand people that going and throw the arb catalogue at there 4wd before getting it new and never useing haft the capability of the 4wd.
    But hay each to their own

    • @MadMatt4WD
      @MadMatt4WD  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MadMatt4WD I love it two just that slow wombats holes big wheel lifts I've built my dmax up to do just that. The only thing left is to put a rear air locker in and I'd be set

    • @cameronallan3771
      @cameronallan3771 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MadMatt4WD no it's a IFS the mates with fount lockers and ifs always seem to brake cv's so that's why I'm saying the rear locker is the last thing to do I have 33s bar work winch 2 inch lift it still good fun like that but the rear locker will just give me the control and confidence back

    • @MadMatt4WD
      @MadMatt4WD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d be interested to know why they’re breaking cvs because of the locker? That doesn’t make sense to my mechanical mind although I hear the comment often.
