Perfectly put! Even some of the classic Disney feature film from the '50s and '60s have a certain 'scratchiness' to their lines. Like you say, this artist is confident and has a distinctive style.
Just now finding this and I love it. The sound reminds me so much of the movie A Portrait of a Lady on Fire (the main character is an artist/painter). There are so many moments in the movie when it’s just like a 2 minute scene of the main character drawing and painting and the sounds were so relaxing, but I’ve never been able to find a video that mimics that sound as well until I found this!!
Very nice drawing. I have several of the Heros. Not a bad pen. If you like the hero, snag you a Parker 21. They are vintage, but very nice writers and inexpensive. :)
@kotapaka Yes its a Hero 616 fountain from a pack of 12 off ebay. The paper is a cartridge paper 150 gm . I have also experimented with different kinds of paper to see which paper causes the ink to bleed and not to bleed etc Moleskin water colour books are excellent for pen and ink drawing's too. I also use Noodlers black bulletproof (eel) ink as well. The ink is excellent, fade proof and the 'eel' element is for a smooth flow of the ink from the fountain pen.
Get yourself a mini camera tripod for 5-10$ and its good to hear you're practicing them. Having spent a lot of time drawing, hands are always the first thing I look at and they are definitely the toughest. Fortunately you only have to draw with one hand so the other makes a great model for life drawing :)
yep hands. In this type of cartoon style, hands are meant to look 'balloony' like in Krazy Kat, Popeye- hands. 'Out 'of 'proportion' deliberatley.Thanks for the comment.
Is this P51 or Hero 616? Are you using those thick artist's sheets of paper? I have some (although I'm an engineer, not an artist) and they are really rough most probably because they were meant for a brush & (acrylic) paint. Anyway, it feels very scratchy.
Also sorry if I was being critical, having wasted my own money on an art major, I learned its better to receive constructive criticism versus just being told it looks good. The characters are creative and that pen sounds fun as hell to draw with :)
What is the camera you are using? Im sure its maybe a phone? But i swear i hear film. Maybe that's just something else in the background. Either way, very nice drawing. Might have to try and use a fountain pen for some of my drawings some time.
@SeriousGamerz "Hero" fountain (spin off of the Parker 51's f'pen) off ebay from China. A pack of 10 for about $12.00. The nib is made of iridium, very strong point.
My conjecture? A clown dog stands inconspicuously behind a scarecrow awaiting the perfect moment to whack (with his toy horse) at an unsupecting navigator Teddy Bear who has sailed to this island (boat seen in the distance) and is presently intrigued by a crow who is "arking" instead of crowing. But that's just my interpretation of it... :)
+dinasaur2 What model? It looks like a hooded nib, so I think that narrows it down to the 100, 616, the 605, the 332, the 336, and...I think one more, right?
Old ASMR= The Best One.
I watched this back in 09’ and remember getting really sleepy from it. I obviously had no idea why, but now I do!
this soothes me to sleep, the soft scratching is nice and watching you draw is soothing
Did not know ASMR was a recognised term in 2009
ikr
Hisoka Amorou not sure what you are trying to express here.
"I know right"
It wasn't, the title was changed back in like '12
Yes
Such a cute drawing 😊
Very cool. Everything was so concrete and fluent. Nice job!
I'm glad you added ASMR to the title so more people can find it.
love the style. Love the fact that you draw a figure without fleshing anything out in pencil first. Tough to do. Good stuff
I honestly don't use these as ASMR, I just get intrigued by what people can do with these pens.
Perfectly put! Even some of the classic Disney feature film from the '50s and '60s have a certain 'scratchiness' to their lines. Like you say, this artist is confident and has a distinctive style.
watching this can certainly give any artist a few pointers on sketching

Rachel Plitt
Yes. I hand held the camera as I drew this.
THIS WAS 6 YEARZ AGO
April Ratliff
Yes it was and I was one of the first very few artists to produce a video with a fountain pen drawing as a feature.
Oh
I like the drawing
One of the best asmr videos of all time
I like your art style, also, great sounds.
Very nice drawing. I have several of the Heros. Not a bad pen. If you like the hero, snag you a Parker 21. They are vintage, but very nice writers and inexpensive. :)
ASMR trigger!! tingles are startin!
you are genius !
Wow 10 years old this video is amazing
now that's talent right there.

Outstanding! I wish the raven looked a lil more like a raven though. Everything is amazing! keep it up!
great vid and great drawing to:)
Did you intend for this to be an ASMR video? I really like it, and I know I'm not the only one who'd like it if you made more like this one.
this sounds AMAZING.

Wow you are talented. I didn't know fountain pens were still in use. What advantages do they have over ball point?
Ur a good drawer
You are very good :)
Haha! Love the "Ark ark" bit!
@Arbiter567 Thanks. A lot more freedom using ink and the nib can make varying marks with pressure of the hand.
Classic/legendary asmr video
Nice talent you go t there
yep hands. In this type of cartoon style, hands are meant to look 'balloony' like in Krazy Kat, Popeye- hands. 'Out 'of 'proportion' deliberatley.Thanks for the comment.
It's 10 years now, how old were you 10 years ago?
I like this video! There are no "background" noises AND I found a new trigger. :)
Thank you.
i tried this it acctualy works really good
Wow! You have an incredible talent! I've messeed around with cartooning, but I feel grossly inferior now.
@JumpArt12 Thanks,keep your practice up with the fountain pen and you will see some inspiring ideas and result's.
@rabbidsquirrel187
The pen is a fountain pen and the brand is 'Hero". These fountain pens are from China where
ink is still used.
that left arm on the scarecrow not being drawn was bugging me the WHOLE time :D
Is this P51 or Hero 616? Are you using those thick artist's sheets of paper? I have some (although I'm an engineer, not an artist) and they are really rough most probably because they were meant for a brush & (acrylic) paint. Anyway, it feels very scratchy.
My favorite thing to do is to speed up the video and it's so satisfying
Her: how much asmr do you want
Me: yes
Also sorry if I was being critical, having wasted my own money on an art major, I learned its better to receive constructive criticism versus just being told it looks good. The characters are creative and that pen sounds fun as hell to draw with :)
Please do another one that's like 15 minutes!!!
better than new asmr
What is the camera you are using? Im sure its maybe a phone? But i swear i hear film. Maybe that's just something else in the background. Either way, very nice drawing. Might have to try and use a fountain pen for some of my drawings some time.
What specific pen is that? have any links of where you bought it? if it was online
the angle suggests that but actually its a macro close up shot. My hand is resting on the paper pad. My left hand is filming as I draw.
Thanks for you comment about ASMR triggers. I probably have experienced it many times.

magnificent, cheers! '=oD
@RedRedFortune Thank's I shall...
What I'd do to go back to 2009 🤧
It was an awkward moment when I realized this cute little bird was a scarecrow..
great
Can you please tell me is that the YOUTH pen, I have the same I think, it's turqouise color.
Thanks. Yeah I know. I had to hold the camera in one hand as I drew which made the creative flow a little tricky.

But that's just my interpretation of it... :)
Zany and fun is great as long as you know how to do them correctly first.
First I was like: lol that's not a fountain! Then I was like: Oh right....
looks like a new yorker
@GamersBar What made you think you knew what kind of pen it was?
@ItsNotJustRice Ha Awesome!
@spiritwolf112 Sorry for the slow response. Have to say thank you for the compliment
.
@GamersBar Its a fountain pen.
Thank you!
The hands are kinda cute, it's her own magical world, it's zany and fun. Maybe it was your conservatism that held you back on your major?
@ethanfilms190 thanks!
I would actually buy this piece of art. No joke, shoot me an offer :)
Hi I will post some in the nest couple of weeks..thanks

+dinasaur2 What model? It looks like a hooded nib, so I think that narrows it down to the 100, 616, the 605, the 332, the 336, and...I think one more, right?
