RDR2 is arguably the most beautiful rendition of a realistic open world I have ever seen. It's not that it looks extremely realistic (although it comes pretty close sometimes) like some UE5 demos but it's the perfect example to prove that art direction is just as important if not more important than cutting edge tech.
Batman Arkham knight on the PlayStation spits on these graphics. Horizon forbidden West and zero dawn chuckle at these graphics. Uncharted 4 points and laughs at these graphics. Know your place

I played it this year because i was never interested in Cowboy stuff, but oh man i wss wrong. For me one of the best games ever made.

Also started RDR2 with that state of mind, cowboy and wild west never really interested me, games or movies or anything, still gave RDR2 a try and for the first hour or so i was still sure that it just wasn't for me, then at about the stage we get out of the snow and set up camp, everything just started clicking and with every step i got more invested. By the end of this game, Arthur Morgan broke me. What an absolute piece of art is RDR2.

@FonizerTM Wrong. RDR1 was a landmark achievement for Rockstar when it released and claiming that it's "not too good" just because RDR2 uses newer tech than it is just laughable.
Absolutely stunning. Can't believe the level of detail in this game, such an amazing experience playing it.
It does look great but I don't understand the game. So there's no story mode? It seems like they're not doing anything at all in these clips???
@@elonlove343 There's a story mode and plenty to do. I don't know the type of game you like, but this game really draws you in with the environment and all the things that happen around it. I have never played a game where the world feels this alive. Its so detailed, characters are amazing, the music everything comes together so well. There's a reason why a new game with amazing graphics or is really realistic comes out and people bring up this game, its a masterpiece.
@@c523jw7 Yea I saw people bringing up this game while I was watching videos of Horizon Zero Dawn. I was shocked because I never thought the graphics were that good. I might have to go buy the game then because I do like open world games as well. It just always seemed like ppl were just killing the same animal over and over. I didn't even know it had a story mode.
a shame that rockstar doesnt give a sh1t for his online customers... on pc platform, servers are crowd of hackers, its unpleasent and a very frustating experience losing stuff and fun because of them
I remember when this game came out, people were pretty harsh. They call it the "Horse Simulator". Now everyone praises it as a masterpiece. Which means this game was and still is way ahead of its time.

Pensavo non si potesse ancora migliorare la grafica di Red dead redemption originale, le altre mod che ho visto, saturavano troppo i colori snaturando la grafica e non le preferivo per niente all'originale, ma questa mod... É spaventosa.

I'm not too sure any other game will ever beat the feeling of my first few hours playing RDR2 - I was just blown away by the atmosphere, the details, the pacing...all just impeccable
Specifically the first few hours? Interesting, that intro was so boring that i couldn't keep playing. I actually never played it since then lol. I'll have to complete it sometime.

I get what you're saying but by the later stages you've acclimatised a little, so I don't think the impact is quite the same. I agree, the initial missions in the snow are borderline tedious so I'm not really counting them
@@kjb8321 guys, you are talking about the story mode, and yes, I agree, its boring in the first hours, and I thought, when I bought the pc version and payed US$100 to get it: "omg, Im just burned 100 bucks for this crap??" ... well, this start piece is like 1% in the entire story... And believe me, you will play more times to live different situations in this mode. I bought this game in 2019.. after ending the story mode, i stayed away from this game till march in this year, and I tried the online mode... is it enough to say I play it religiously every day?? It´s addictive, but unfortunatelly, pc servers are crowd of hackers... even with this situation, game is still fun and I enjoy doing missions and playing with my friends
Actually, GTA 6 might change that for you

I have this game on ps4 and completed it. I purchased this on steam as well just to have a copy when I have the money to upgrade my GTX 1660 Super to latest Graphics card someday! I knownthis game will stay forever just like anyother rockstar games like GTA. This game is a masterpiece! 🔥❤️
Honestly I would only ever get these overpriced graphics cards if you want to be able to emulate all older games, since most games that are being made now aren't even worth it.
My gtx 1060 still runs and plays most games just fine
@@TheRealOAFsYea I run this in 1440p no problem with a 2070super, and a 3700x (it's a Cyberpower PC from late 2019 I bought used for $800). I'm not getting 150 fps, but it's smooth as butter nonetheless.
Point is that you don't have to spend a ton to enjoy these games. I can play everything at 1440 that I've tried yet. And usually on the highest settings, or close to that anyway.
And there's plenty of nice used cards available that will do the same. For less then a 1/4 of what a 4090 goes for. I've seen 2080ti's on eBay for $350. That should last you a few years IMHO. And will actually spank anything below a 3080.

pity about the water (in my opinion the only major flaw of the original game) the rest is scary.

I just spent around 300 euros to buy some used graphic card and cpu, ssd an full hd screen to play this game. I have 25, as big GTA games fan, i always wanted to play this game, and i never played until now.
The gets me even more hyped to see what R* brings for GTA6.

It was and I never thought Rockstar could top it but then they did with RDR2. Who ever thinks 1 is better is smoking something.
2 is way better,in every way. Besides why they remaking 1. Scrap it and use what was created for the remake and build on it to make RDR3🤙👍
Rdr2 is one of my favorite games. Not the best, but by far the most beautiful world I've ever seen in a game.

Watching this on a 4K screen, and it looks absolutely stunning. 2:30 if anyone would try to hide behind that tree, you could see it clear as day - 4K.
Currently playing RDR 1 on Xenia Emulator 1440p. And that game, despite its age still looks amazing. Makes you truly appreciate how much a higher Resolution contributes not only to visual clarty and the ease of the eye. But also to the gameplay itself.👍🏻

so i managed to get it stable. 27-34 fps. thats enough for me. but i have some greenpixel effects. i think i did something wrong with the xenia settings.
i almost managed somehow ( think thats not good either) to bind the rdr1 iso data on vlc player. men if someone could help me would be nice.
Why not do it in 720p and make it actually look real instead of crisp fake- or are graphic cards hardware or state of software not designed for that yet?

Looks great, If I was tuning this though I'd "uncrush" the darks a little bit, and tone the AO and bloom down just a tiny smidgen. Saturation, mids and highlights are spot on.

the only game in existence where reshade can only make it look worse.
vanilla graphics are already perfect.
the level of detail is too big and you can see graphic glitches and sometimes polygon boundaries. there is no need for such an expensive card for this particular game. the 1080ti still works fine and hides the flaws.
