Hey all! I hope you're enjoying my WD tenth Anniversary video! Give it some love by sharing it around if you are! Anyway, I have some thoughts on these Gang Hideouts, but since basically no one reads the description of a video, I'm putting them in this stickied comment. Gang Hideouts in Watch_Dogs are actually really funky. Well, the single-target ones are. Contrary to what one would expect, it's easier to stealth the multi-target hideouts, because those guys don't run when they're scared. Each of the hideouts with only one target required extra special attention to make sure the target could not see any of their friends being taken out, to not get any of the other guards in their zone to call for a search and to avoid being close enough for them to hear a gun shot (WD does not treat silenced weapons as 100% silent!), but too far for me to take them out before they start booking it as fast as they can. Now, some notes on each segment: Intro: Using a restricted area here, courtesy of the Living City mod. This almost took the longest time out of all clips to record, solely because I couldn't just select restart from checkpoint whenever Aiden refused to do a gun slide takedown in the garage there. There was basically a minimum 2 minute setup before starting to record. Street Cleaning: Picked this one as the "first" clip because I very much enjoy the verticality here and it gets into the action pretty quickly. This is a single target hideout, though the positioning of the guards means that setting up a kill chain that doesn't alert the target is not too tricky. Gone in a Flash: Another single target hideout though this one has a much wider view of the area, but luckily partially obscured by the van I use for my exit, which works to my advantage. Using the explosion at the start to get another enemy to investigate doesn't raise suspicion as much as a gunshot would and it's also funny seeing him fly through the air. No Parking: One of the trickier single target hideouts, the takedown on the last guard on the lower level would either get the target to flee or one of his friends to start investigating ("What's that?"), which meant a bunch of resets here when it was the former. The amount of parked cars would also vary wildly between loads, making my route not always possible. Compliments for the Cook: By far the most jittery target out of the single target hideouts. His positioning gives him an almost full view of the compound and the partially see-through fences to both sides makes those approaches dubious as well. Due to wanting to do lethal takedowns on all targets, I also couldn't do a vault takedown (or do a takedown once he starts running, because those will never be lethal). Port Authority: I hate how far away the game spawns you here. Otherwise this is a cool level. The target is on the second floor of the building and generally won't notice anything happening below him, so he's chill. My biggest enemy for this section was sometimes my FPS tanked for no reason inside the building. Two for One: First multi target hideout, as evident from the title. This is the only segment I use focus on, without it the first part is heavily dependent on load (there are as far as I can tell three pathing setups and only one of them has one of the guards facing away from you) and later on I use focus not to shoot the sniper, but to delay the reaction from the guard I'm standing next to while shooting the sniper. The Low Road: Another single target hideout. This one is overall a little slower than the other segments and involves a little waiting, because I have to make sure no one gets killed in the central area where the target is or the sucker will run. Out of the Woodwork: The most unique hideout of the bunch. After taking out the first of two targets (the one guy that's not in body armour), the next target will start travelling from the location of *Beached* to here, with another car following close behind. Unlike the last time I tackled these (almost five years ago!), I decided not to use manually placed explosives and do it by hand so to speak. Beached: Three targets, but the quickest hideout completion out of all of them. The trickiest part here is not getting seen by anyone while taking out the targets or suddenly everyone knows your location. This applies to any of the hideouts and will also happen if anyone spots you taking out anyone after taking out the last target (or only if there is just one). Swap Meet: Singular target again, this one gets nicely distracted by the forklift close to him so he doesn't notice that everyone around him is dead. I like the vibe of this hideout, with the L-Train practically drowning out the sound of the shotgun at the end. The Tower: This one has you pretty limited in the approach, with basically only having the option to use that second lift or not. And not using it is doing a frontal assault or a very slow lure job to get to the target at the top. I like how you really get to see Chicago in this one. Packing: This is probably the second most annoying target, it seems he can actually hear Aiden running (unlike basically everyone else once you unlock Stealth Sprint), so I actually have to approach him slowly, so he doesn't start to run. He still did a few times (when taking out the sniper for example), causing some annoying restarts. Union Dues: Not really many pathing opportunities here if you wanna save the target for last (which is preferred due to telepathic detection after the target is taken out). Kinda wish there was anything but a big truck to make my exit, but there's literally nothing else parked close by that would present an alternative and I wanted each clip to end with Aiden driving away. Burning Bridges: Three targets here. I don't think there is a better path through this level. Except for some minor deviations, this clip uses basically the same pathing as my older video. There are other paths through the level, but they all seem to involve slow elevators, backtracking or both. If anyone else has a quick path through the level that doesn't skip any guards, please let me know! Decapitated: For some reason it always rains in this gang hideout until you take out the target. I had to colour correct this clip because no matter what time of day, everything would get incredibly dark until the rain stopped. Anyway, there's some pretty tight timing involved here to make sure the target is isolated from his buddies. And well, that last kill stands on its own I think :)

Watch Dogs holds up really well. It's the same the series is done. Legion's gimmick was fine for like a second, but it really suffered from not having a proper main character to follow. That and most of the characters just looked not good.

This move is a pretty modern parkour move so I personally think it’d look weird in an assassins creed game. Also it’s usually used to give an extra boost over as you saw the fence and assassins really just don’t need that. They’re super fast and nimble already.
You know that kind of shits in AC unity right?. Been done before. Don't have too much faith in ubisoft kid 🤣🤣 they didn't do it for 5 games after, doubt they will do it with this one
0:12 Just earlier today I was playing the mission where you have to sneak into the boat repair place, and I decided to go loud rather they sneak, the very first guy I attacked I got this takedown animation; I kicked him through a door on his hands and knees in front of three other fixers and a heavy, executed him, and then set off all of the explosives in the garage. I legitimately have never felt cooler playing a videogame, straight out of a movie.
Two for One and Out of the Woodwork are my favourite runs here. I also liked the editing and the double shot during slide in the intro a lot. Speed especially is something that stands out to me throughout the whole video
Those one-twos are fantastic every time. When I first played this game, I was blown away by just how good it consistently felt to play (driving notwithstanding). If anything, this game was a very tight shooter, and it’s nice to see it get the love it deserves

Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen you do these runs, each time is better than the last. Also, guessing which vehicle will be your getaway is part of the fun. Love how in the last run, your getaway car was the last kill. Thoroughly enjoyed this!
Watch Dogs with mods nowadays it's actually pretty awesome, been playing for a week now, TH-cam recommended this video because i'm searching for the collectables hahaha i want to 100% the game, awesome video man, keep up the good work!
Getting this recommended three months after it's uploaded, and I'm glad it did! Even after ten years watch dogs still holds up, and still is one of my favorite open world games. Even without mods this game feels so alive and the gameplay can be so smooth and satisfying. I really gotta give it another go!
I still play this game ALOT. Sometimes when I’ll go afk. I’ll rig up a truck with ieds I’ll then drive to an alleyway and park it close to a wall in the middl of the alley or at the alley’s intersection and I’ll get out and stand off a ways by it and go afk but not before placing a proximity mine on the rear wheel so that when anybody gets close to it detonates. I’ve killed 67 players this month trying to invade me
Really cool work! I always found the location for half of these gang outposts to be weird. A multi-level parking let and plaza rooftops in uptown, a bridge construction site, a cemetery. These are very busy public places.
As always amazing stuff my dude 🎉 I see the hard work and determination you put into the vids and it shows big time ❤ it nice to have some show off how cool this game can be even after 10 years wow 🤩 keep up the awesome work 🙏🏼
This is epic, especially the intro. I got gifted wd not to long ago on my xb1 but was hesitant to play since I finished it on the 360. This makes me want to tho
Clean, efficient, cool. I wish the series kept this tone instead of devolving into garbage like it did. I uninstalled WD2 less than 5 minutes in when I saw that the PC uses a yoyo for takedowns.
Both games have their strengths, they're honestly pretty different overall though. I prefer the first game personally, but its a matter of preference really, neither are bad.
@@commie_remover yeah exactly I really wasn't into the whole "quirky" leap compared to the first one at all. Just seems like a huge disconnect, sadly one that was repeated again in Legion.

hey, i was wondering: how do you go about replayability in this game? do you just reset all the gang hideouts every time and then do them all one by one? i feel like the game suffers from not having infinitely replayable combat arenas or "red zones" like in watch dogs 2.
If you're on console, I guess that's pretty much the only way you can replay stuff without starting over. On PC luckily there's a few more options. For this video I did reset the gang hideouts first, but then I made an individual save backup for each location, in case I completed a hideout in an unsatisfactory way and wanted a do-over. Much faster to exit to the main menu and swap out a save file than resetting all hideouts again and accepting the mission anew. The Living_City mod will add restricted areas/red zones, much like WD2 has them, in the locations where you would encounter enemies during story missions. You can fine tune how quick they reset as well. There's a few extra features that also add to the replayability. There's also a mod that lets you replay main missions directly, but it can be a little buggy.
Just recently replayed and finished WD1 story on PS4 and all I gotta say is that it is such and underrated masterpiece. Every part of the game felt amazing from the shooting, hacking, driving and even walking down the streets of Chicago while listening to: Ms. Crumby and Confidential Liar. I've been playing since the PS3 days and WD1 always had a special place in my heart. The nostalgia was great. 10 years later it is still an amazing game.
I'm honestly super happy this game is getting the attention it deserves. I was so disappointed back then when people were calling this game bad on release.
I love thar people are seeing the magic in this games combat, and i love that people are keeping this game alive. WD1 deserves it, the series deserves it
I'm actually playing through this game right now and it's super fun. I'm doing all the side quests and all the extra missions that I never did before and they're really fun
I’m curious, who would win in a battle? John wick or Aiden Pearce? In terms of gun play and hand to hand, no contest, John would win, but Aiden doesn’t play like most assassins. He has enough hand to hand skill to defend himself if it comes down to it, but Aiden is full of tricks. Even in home territory like the continental, Aiden would hack the cams and have infinite eyes on John, can black out the entire city, if you have anything electronic like night/heat vision, Aiden can either explode it or make it useless. You can stand next to a pipe and not realize it’s connected to some sort of network, and explode that piece of pipe. Would be an interesting and different contest. John wick isn’t without his quirks either, like is car seems totally old school with no chips other than old radio, so it isn’t hackable, and he doesn’t converse much, so you ain’t getting any details on his patterns or know any secrets, has lots of hidden weapons and cache’, so it isn’t in full support of Aiden either. Fully off the grid John wick vs fully on the grid Aiden Pearce.
Idk about new gen but on ps3 if you get in a car and turn the music on and then exit and spam it back on you can bump raydar whilst you wick😊 sometimes it doesnt work if its not the car you pulled up in.
i remember playing this game on release with pretty much the best pc money can buy and still getting bad performance. actually looks pretty good now i might go back and try it again
Great video! Always loved the takedown animations of this game! WD1 is such a fun game: even if it was far from being perfect, it's a game that I've really enjoyed, and that it's still my favorite in the series! The setting, the vibes, the gunplay... Stuff that the sequels weren't able to nail, sadly!
To me the first Watchdogs is like the teenage cousin of Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist, Another great Ubi Ip, and another great John Wick simulator games.
Watch Dogs really holds a special place in my heart - not just because it's a dark, gritty storyline with good gameplay, but because playing it helped me get through some of the darkest moments in my life. Thanks for the video, homie!

@@owenjones8796WD3 and S&B wasn’t great but mirage and Valhalla are great games, so it’s a mixed bag.
This cements the idea that aiden kills that templar boss guy from 4 for me seeing aiden as this ruthless killer when i played i always had thought of a sad uncle
Those side jumps or whatever it is called in 7:17 should be in AC Shadows. It's a minor movement but looks cool.
Maybe a little less floaty, but honestly I'd take any parkour improvement that Shadows may give us
@@TrevisoStealth Absolutely, modern AC's parkour and climbing is just 90% leap jumping.
I think the parkour guys called this a 'tic-tac'
This move is a pretty modern parkour move so I personally think it’d look weird in an assassins creed game. Also it’s usually used to give an extra boost over as you saw the fence and assassins really just don’t need that. They’re super fast and nimble already.
You know that kind of shits in AC unity right?. Been done before. Don't have too much faith in ubisoft kid 🤣🤣 they didn't do it for 5 games after, doubt they will do it with this one
I don't even like gameplay videos, but just couldn't stop watching this one. SO precise!
Thank you!!
the gunfights, the fluidity of the moves the storyline. such a perfect game
Happy 10 year anniversary lads. This game will always hold a special place in my heart
0:12
Just earlier today I was playing the mission where you have to sneak into the boat repair place, and I decided to go loud rather they sneak, the very first guy I attacked I got this takedown animation; I kicked him through a door on his hands and knees in front of three other fixers and a heavy, executed him, and then set off all of the explosives in the garage.
I legitimately have never felt cooler playing a videogame, straight out of a movie.
Two for One and Out of the Woodwork are my favourite runs here. I also liked the editing and the double shot during slide in the intro a lot. Speed especially is something that stands out to me throughout the whole video
Thanks!
Those one-twos are fantastic every time. When I first played this game, I was blown away by just how good it consistently felt to play (driving notwithstanding). If anything, this game was a very tight shooter, and it’s nice to see it get the love it deserves
cracks me up when you can sprint to a guard and he still wont notice you
Stealth run
He got those black panther shoes on
Its an ability my guy.
Fantastic cinematic work, Watch dogs 1 holds a dear place in my heart and this video is a love letter to it, the stealth, combat and cinematic flair the gameplay has is marvelous.
It also has one of my favorite stories and main character
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@TrevisoStealth keep it up, I have a stealth channel of my own as well, I love watching others stealthily play
OG watchdogs will forever be the best watchdogs

10 years...and i'm still waiting what part of the game i start watching dogs
crazy views bro congrats. video is amazing
Thanks bro!
Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen you do these runs, each time is better than the last. Also, guessing which vehicle will be your getaway is part of the fun. Love how in the last run, your getaway car was the last kill. Thoroughly enjoyed this!
I like how the guy at 1:12 had the wherewithal to yell “ow” when he got shot in the face
Watch Dogs with mods nowadays it's actually pretty awesome, been playing for a week now, TH-cam recommended this video because i'm searching for the collectables hahaha i want to 100% the game, awesome video man, keep up the good work!
I just wish the game had proper raw input and mouse control. Such bullshit that it isn’t raw input.
@@Aqueox Meh, it's not that important imo, doesn't make the game less good you know?
It's still one of my favorite games.
I had so much fun solving every puzzling situation.
I’ve killed 67 players this month trying to invade me
So based
Man, I remember playing this game for the first time when it came out, it's hard to believe it's been 10 years already.
Really cool work!
I always found the location for half of these gang outposts to be weird. A multi-level parking let and plaza rooftops in uptown, a bridge construction site, a cemetery.
These are very busy public places.
Seeing this just reminded me of how good this game was! I’m gone redownload this back on my console
Treviso is THE GOAT of stealth gameplay
Whoa--this is super cool!! Never knew WD1 was this good
As always amazing stuff my dude 🎉 I see the hard work and determination you put into the vids and it shows big time ❤ it nice to have some show off how cool this game can be even after 10 years wow 🤩 keep up the awesome work 🙏🏼
Just started my first ever playthrough of WD. Such a good game. It started raining in game before I turned it off, and looked great.
New sub.
Never played Watch Dogs but after watching this video I really want to!
This is epic, especially the intro. I got gifted wd not to long ago on my xb1 but was hesitant to play since I finished it on the 360. This makes me want to tho
Watch dogs 1 is really underrated the ost, the main character and the story is perfect
I love the way the character moves in this game.
Aiden controls like a true hitman at being very subtle and careful with each action.
Clean, efficient, cool. I wish the series kept this tone instead of devolving into garbage like it did. I uninstalled WD2 less than 5 minutes in when I saw that the PC uses a yoyo for takedowns.
you're missing out the 2nd one is honestly a lot more fun than the first one
@@Ezdine_G8261 In what exactly is that game more "fun"? Not everyone likes the quirky Fortnite/Marvel aesthetics.
Yea it's a good game and I feel what u saying the tone of the game went from a man trying to kill his family killer to nerds that hack and the yoyo threw me off the first time bc the take downs in WD1 was some of the best take downs I seen in modern day shooter games and the guns was everything i wanted them to be the AR was my fav with the other short AR was my 2nd favorite the 1911 was good but i wanted to be able to take the silencer off but so it good WD2 I GOTTA GIVE IT TO THEM ON THE Open WORLD AND THE GANGS REALLY TOOK THAT GAME FAR BC IT FELT LIKE A REAL WORLD AND THE HOOD REALLY FELT LIKE IT THE RANDOM GANGS War WAS LIT U CAN BC SIT IN 80\50 GOOD I THINK THEY 80S AND THE TEZ REALLY DO DRIVE BYS ON THEY AND START SHOOTS OUTS AND THE BEST PART ABOUT IT IS ITS RONDON AND WE THE PLAYER CAN EITHER JUST LOOK OR JUMP IN I LIKE THAT U CAN CALL GANG ATTACKS AND THE POLICE ON RANDON NPCS AND OTHER GANG ON THE POLICE AND I LIKE HOW GANGS GOT THEY OWN SPOT IN FREEDOM
Ay, I finally got to watch this and you did amazing
Original watchdogs is such a hidden gem!
Are you a little kid? It’s not hidden😂
Not really hidden, a lot people played it when it came out. Even I played it.
@@grph1t3z most people didn’t play it cause of the graphics controversy. So while it ain’t a hidden gem it’s definitely underrated

a fun game
perfect runs, dedication. props to you
This feels more fluid then the newer games
This game ran a smooth 60fps on my ps5. I used the digital version. Some ps4 games have trouble running on the ps5 though. Not this one.
@@jamesmudd8019it’s 30fps on ps5
This game was actually pretty fun. Invading and getting invaded was neat.
Ah man that was smooth I love it now I have to play through watchdogs
This game was amazing combine Aidens finishers and movement animations with the Max Payne 3 directional dolphin dive and you have the ultimate 3rd person shooter experience.
Man this game was so fun by itself! Then you add the minigames it had, like SpiderTank! This game was great.
hey, i was wondering: how do you go about replayability in this game? do you just reset all the gang hideouts every time and then do them all one by one? i feel like the game suffers from not having infinitely replayable combat arenas or "red zones" like in watch dogs 2.
Watch Dogs 2 combat felt like a totally different developer tried to recreate the first Watch Dogs
THIS IS A MASTERPIECE
Always the lower Sub channels producing absolute Gems!
Too vivid. Fantastic. It's like watching a different game.
Sheesh thats such good quality, I gotta hop back on someday
years ago i really loved this game, i feel like playing it again now
I used to play Watch Dogs the Fox as a kid on a PS3 . 7 years ago, it was one hell of a good game
Yo this for me was the original John wick for real
I'm honestly super happy this game is getting the attention it deserves. I was so disappointed back then when people were calling this game bad on release.
I love thar people are seeing the magic in this games combat, and i love that people are keeping this game alive. WD1 deserves it, the series deserves it
Yow nice, you're wearing my favorite outfit for Aiden... "Alone" suit
this game with the lethal takedown mod is truly a must
I'm actually playing through this game right now and it's super fun. I'm doing all the side quests and all the extra missions that I never did before and they're really fun
how do u do those take downs with the gun. for me only the baton pops out
You need to have the gun out before doing the takedowns.
@@mercenarydelta7351 i realies now. tho u cant do it stealth they need to notice you before u do it wich sucks.
This game was REALLY good :) loved it from the 1st second till end.
This was such a satisfying game and the ending was perfect
It really is, thats not even a joke. Just, the amount of stuff you can pull off with a pistol and quickhacks alone is amazing.
Splinter Cell Conviction is the real John Wick-like videogame for me
What a throw back!
Watch Dogs to this day is still criminally underrated
I can't comprehend how you aim without the crossair it feels like magic.
I rly loved this game, it was so fun to play the secondary missions as well
How to do Lethal Take downs? Maybe it's because i have Good Vigilante reputation?
aiden was the only character i liked from this series. and t-bone. those two never walked away from my heart.
I remember playing this while I was also watching Person of Interest at the time. It was a perfect mix.
One of my favourite shows of all time
Damn, it's crazy to thing that has been almost 10 years since i played this game for the first time.
Shooting while sliding across the hood is crazy...let alone in a 10 year old game.
Damn..the sounds are so nostalgic
I played this game a couple years ago, even in vanilla it's still really good
Great video! Always loved the takedown animations of this game!
WD1 is such a fun game: even if it was far from being perfect, it's a game that I've really enjoyed, and that it's still my favorite in the series!
The setting, the vibes, the gunplay... Stuff that the sequels weren't able to nail, sadly!
from this to SW Outlaws,, well done Ubi, well done😅
To me the first Watchdogs is like the teenage cousin of Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist, Another great Ubi Ip, and another great John Wick simulator games.
Just finish the second playthrough about a week ago and its stil one of the best gun play games for me

Watch Dogs really holds a special place in my heart - not just because it's a dark, gritty storyline with good gameplay, but because playing it helped me get through some of the darkest moments in my life. Thanks for the video, homie!
First Watch Dogs is definitely something special to me 💯
These games really managed to make the world feel alive, even more so than GTA to me. ⤵️
The only original with no actual worthy sequels. Storywise and atmosphere, WD1 is always a hunderd steps ahead of its so called sequels.
