Loved it all especially the last song. The RiHa sounds good and clearly Wilma did a great job with it.

What an impressive album, every track had my attention. Never heard of a Riha Orchestra, or Wilma G either, but was very intrigued and had me researching and googling. I don't think any Riha's ever made it to Australia, very few if any, I would think. I'm in Perth, never seen one. Loved the quality of sound, and the expertise of Wilma's playing I couldn't fault. Great song selection, loved every registration choice. Live drummer I'm assuming? Must be, surely. Nevertheless, a great album, on my favourites list now for sure. Thanks Mike. When the pic zoomed passed as I scrolled down the page my immediate thought for a split second was Pergamon (Farfisa), No, not with 3 manuals, another quick glance, Emminent? Gulbransen? (Not so common in Australia either, but have seen the occasional one). No, a Riha Orchestra, very impressed. If I ever see one, I will probably want to add to my ridiculously extensive collection which includes: Farfisa Pergamon, Farfisa 6290/R (was called "Marlborough" in Aus, "Coronet" elsewhere) Technics U90, Technics F3, Hammond Collonade, Yamaha D85, Conn 580, Conn Trinidad, love all these old dinosaurs that very few appreciate these days, most acquired for very few $. Can't say the same for my Steinway B, yeah, huge $ for that one. LOL

They did quite well in the UK, partly because of Brian Sharp. He released a series of cassettes called Organ Fiesta and I believe the organ came with the arrangements of the first album. I'm in Melbourne now and have never seen a RiHa here. I used to play one their smaller instruments in a restaurant in Surrey, UK when I was 17.

Good to hear that you are preserving so many of these fine organs. I do the same but, my wife has stipulated, no more!☹

Fabulous playing, the nearest I can think of is Harry Stoneham. I'm loving the sound of these non Hammond analogue organs with a leslie speaker. Fab.

Recall Brian Sharp demonstrated the Orchestra. Beautiful organ and the first I heard to emulate the human voice choir. House of dreams was the piece Brian played.

I saw him play this Riha in consort when I was a teenager, when he ran out of fingers
he would simply lean forward and play the top keyboard with his nose.

@@RB-bl7vq yes, Brian was a showman. Same here, I was a teenager and keen to learn organ. The Eminent was another range that, in my opinion, Brian excelled at.

Warum erinnert mich das Design (Stoff, Schalter usw…..) und auch der Sound irgendwie an Solina/Eminent?? Auch die Strings….. gibt es da außer dem Herkunftsland noch weitere Gemeinsamkeiten?
