Despite having a rich dark voice, Yuqi's lower register is not very low. Based on this live performance alone, she sounds much stronger and more stable in her middle and higher registers. I thank the NCT Dream members for being very polite and supportive. They're great R&B vocalists and can easily pick up on the imperfections in this performance, but they remain very supportive from start to finish. Mark's signature "it's too good i'm in pain" face is hilarious as usual lol Overall this is still a good performance. Yuqi's partner Peder sounds great in his middle register but struggles a bit in the high notes. So this duet actually sounds great together, since they make up each other's weaknesses and sound very harmonised together. Yuqi's vocal tone is very "welcoming" and sounds amazing with everyone. p.s. For those who may disagree with my opinion that Yuqi's lower register is not very strong, I recommend checking out Aespa Ningning's version of this song. She sounds much stronger and more stable in the low notes. And Ningning's not even a mezzo. Yuqi has great potential to achieve a very solid lower register. She just needs a bit more practice and more experience singing ballads on stage. Ballads and R&B are very very hard to sing. Much harder than the faster dance-pop songs. She did a decent job as a lead vocalist, with such a difficult song.

There’s a reason why out of all senior group being present there, yet the research team of this show chose Yuqi. Becoz she can ace any type of song. But this girl without any mistake, she pulled it off in ease. Considering she is not even a main vocal but a lead vocal. I don’t c anything wrong in NCT reaction. They were enjoying it, they were shocked about her confidence more than her voice. U can c Joy behind smiling & approving her jr being this good.

We can't hear clearly is due to the bad sound quality plus this is a live performance. It is abit unfair to compare ning ning version with Yuqi's version as ning ning is singing alone in a closed room whereas yuqi is on a big stage. This is also a fancam instead of professional equipment. Let's wait for the official video then to dicuss.
Obv tho yuqi is lead voca, it's considering good enough. Ning ning is main vocal. It' kinda bit off to compare main vs lead vocal. Overall yuqi did pretty good here, she can easily be main vocalist in others gp tbh
