I miss him so much. He really brought out the stern discipline and strength a Roman General should have.
Lol the fact that he's fighting the battle at dusk means he truly believes the owls will swoop in and help, he's fitting of his name. Rome Total War is a true classic and little moments like this set its legacy in gold. Glad I still have my copy.

I have never seen a speech influenced by the same trait all the way. For example i once had a general with poor speaking but military genius. He started his speech with “today we stand before battle… regrettable isnt it? Well sometimes we have to do things we dont like” which is a line from the poor speaking trait, but then he continued to give the best speech possible afterwards

You know, I love both the modern Total War games and the more classic ones alot, but the speeches in Rome 1 and Medieval 2 were something else, man!
Some of the ones in Warhammer are good too though, like the meme one "Welcome to Estalia gentlemen..." :D

Yes, as Jakub says, they need the mad epithet I believe. And yes, there are many odd and wonderful speeches in the files. I'll be exploring them in more shorts like this. :)
