@brokensteelforge232 well deserved! 👏 credit where it's due! 🥰 I'm a big fan of you for quite some time now! Oh, and sorry for that breakup! But fear not: someone as awesome and gorgeous, cool and smart as you will soon find another sweet connection! 😊 Have a great christmas time and a fabulous start into a grand new year! 🕯❄🌲🤜🤛🔥🌠🌈🌤🪐
Love it. I haven’t made a sword yet, just all knives of some sort, with either mono steel or pattern welded damascus that I’ve started making. Merry Christmas!
Typically, a sword like this would have a scabbard designed more for transportation and storage purposes. But if you simply had to have it on your person, a half-scabbard or tip sling (you can see an example in Mel Gibson's Braveheart) would be the way to go. It allows for back carry and quick deployment, but maybe add a generous layer of oil for the exposed part of the blade.
@@brokensteelforge232 Good attitude... genders/orientations/pronouns should be irrelevant beyond medical issues and "very personal" relationships. Making the language more gender-neutral would alleviate so many problems... English is much better in that area (a sword-smith is a sword-smith is a sword-smith). My native Polish... not so much. The word "kowal" is masculine and the word used nowadays as feminine equivalent (kowalka) properly/traditionally describes a wife of a smith. Also - with increasing temperatures I would very much like skirts to become more popular for men too ;)
Cool sword! Great to see so many younger makers doing good.

Very nice sword. Merry Christmas, Karliah!
@@ColonelPanic007 Merry Christmas to you too 🎄
Amazing sword, with that, you reminded me of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy with his long massive blade, chopping with it
as a Sword Enjoyer this makes me incredibly happy, and damn it turned out well!!

Offtopic, you look so cool: amazing sword, no wonder they were so expensive with the amount of skill and time it took to produce one!
I think I saw you smile. Great sword, great work.

how would you design a scabbard that will allow you to wear it as a side arm?

@@raphlvlogs271 With a sword this big, I’m not sure if there is an effective way to wear it as a side arm without it getting in the way.
sure is a great sword, love what you did with the blade and the handle looks really great too. wish i had such a constructive post-breakup hobby!
10:00 ah yes the lobotomizer 2000
Beautiful sword. I particularly prefer the curves: Kilij, shamshir and Khopesh! Nice work!
@@Malefleur I love curved swords too. Naval cutlasses are my favorite.
i have always wondered why you forge in the dark??
Can I ask what pronouns you use? I was talking to a friend about your channel and wasn't sure
Big/sword
@@Negan_smith_did_nothing-wrong I usually use she/her but I’m honestly not to picky
