I just got the T20s radio as a more compact alternative to my T18, first thing I noticed is that the gimbals felt a lot more sensitive vs the AG01 in the T20, turns out those metal C pieces on each side on the gimbal is adjustable, and they come shipped slightly pushed inwards thus decreasing the lateral range, just loosen the top and bottom bar and you can slide those C pieces all the way to the side, after recalibrating the gimbals felt A LOT better!
Hope you read this and can try this yourself (as I can see your gimbals are not adjusted for max range).

I´m using the T20S as my daily radio, and very happy with it. It takes not place in the backpack and I have a similar experience as I used to have with the TX16S radio.

Is the front shinny plastic a scratch magnet?

Great review. Had exact issue as Bruce, when I've upgraded the gimbals (they send them to you for a discount price if you prove that you've purchaced the non S version). Easily fixed with soldering the speaker directly to the board. Yes QC isn't the best, but now with the gimini version - it's a way to go!

I am just about to begin my FPV drone journey and was about to order the Boxer with the AG01 CNC gimballs, but seeing the T20 I am now unsure. What would you prefer of the two?

(I ended up buying the T20 and AG01 gimballs, there is a guide available on how to make it fit.)

Potentiometer-based gimbals, no matter how they are marketed as an "upgrade", especially when they are made by Alps Alpine (same company that makes the pots for Xbox and Playstation controller sticks which are known to be guaranteed to eventually fail with enough use 😬) is objectively anything but an upgrade when compared to the guaranteed longevity and consistent accuracy of hall effect sensors.

How much of a scratch magnet is the front gloss plate on the bottom?

Nice review, you should mount antennas vertically for no null point on turns.
