Visited the arena for a Caps game last year. The game and the energy of the crowd was electric. Helped that Ovi scored a hat trick. The arena itself was just okay. Nothing really special about it.

Just an FYI the popcorn is cooked days ahead of time and then put into the machine to make it look like it's fresh and $30 to park is NOT reasonable ANYWHERE

Popcorn definitely can be precooked which is a shame. For me being able to walk directly into the arena from the parking lot makes $30 somewhat worth it. I've seen parking be $50-$100 in some stadiums. Thanks for watching!

I work at the arena, they do pre pop the popcorn (pretty common with Aramark ran concessions) but it’s not days before. Usually I see them doing this a few hours before the doors open. Also, pro tip for parking anywhere really, use SpotHero! I used it when I was traveling to baseball stadiums, also when parking around Cap1. Usually can find garages nearby for 10-20 bucks which is usually lower than the advertised garage prices! 😊

One of the drawbacks for fans at the arena is their refusal to honor the half price pizzas from Papa Johns whenever just a day earlier the Washington team has scored at least 115 points in a NBA game or at least five total team goals or any goal by Ovechkin in a IceCaps game, a fan would have to get their half price pizza from Papa Johns delivered from the nearest location directly to the Capital One Arena (lol), all of it presuming that the arena has an event scheduled in it the very next day after either of the Washington (NBA or NHL) teams has met the requirement for putting the half price pizza deals into effect???

And is a DUMP arena and NOT fan friendly at ALL!! Way to big and has NO home court advantage

The stadium is built for home field advantage during football season!! That’s all that matters
