Rein isn’t bad circuit… he plays well into sig on it and on the defense 3rd point he holds well. Don’t know why people think rein is a throw pick on this map.
Poke comp is the best on Cricut and when played with the right heroes it destroys Rein. With a proper poke comp Rein can't even get to them but when they play Genji it doesn't work that way.
@@darkcircle899 yeah but poke comp can get flattened with a good rush comp, first point is free if you can take the staircase and speed in while you have your dps challenge their team on the bridge, you force sit to rock then swing on him while walking to force him off height then you stabilize and go far right and pin at the backline and put pressure on them to hopefully get a pick on the corner. It’s playable is what I’m trying to say and it is borderline a good matchup
I think a well timed ability they could rework into Rein's kit would be having him in a shiny or different state like Orisa fortify that indicates mitigated damage for a set duration of seconds, but the damage goes towards his shield instead of Rein in that time frame. Undecided if it's cc immune, probably not to keep the skill ceiling intact for Rein, specifically when shattering so he can't use that to get a free uninterrupted shatter off with no risk so there's still counterplay against it if tracked and timed against Rein properly and to also keep the interactions like Rein vs Rein as they are. Also, if shield is down/broken before the ability is used, the ability generates a set amount of shield hp (similar to Ram nemesis mode or Mauga extra hp from Cardiac overdrive) to guarantee activating the ability. A small amount of hp, of course, as it would be op to immediately bring back a full hp rein shield after losing it. Having an ability like this would alleviate the pressure Rein takes when being hit from multiple directions and also make it so that you potentially don't die early in a fight against flankers like Genji etc. that bypass his shields and melt him from his back when he's trying to block the main enemy team's pressure like cloudy did early in this video when Genji dropped him at 1:30 despite having a considerable amount of shield hp left over. Timing it properly when an enemy is hitting him from an exposed spot would give him good value, survivability, and more options to stay in the fight and/or backout of a fight and escape.

I believe it's because when running the right comp, rein takes too much damage trying to get close while a bap,widow, zen, etc. shoot him from range
