Just as an FYI, it can be really different for different people - she for example, was knocked out for her surgery. I was wide awake and fully aware of everything happening. Some people's wisdom teeth are below the surface of the gum line, which makes it more difficult to extract them (longer recovery, more swelling) and some have all their wisdom teeth above the surface and it's an easier recovery.

I recently got my wisdom teeth out and my entire gum line ACHED for the first two weeks. I only took four opioids during the first two days post-surgery and then used Advil. Didn't ice after the first day but I was only swollen for like the three hours immediately after surgery. Give yourself two weeks.
