Has been a few really good sized ones pulled around the time you were there. Double digits! I witness one of them close to 30". Unreal. Just can't believe it took a minnow on a bobber.
Each spot is different, and time of year matters too. Many times the bite will die after a tide change, but they just wiggled around and set up differently nearby. You can generally find them again w/o too much trouble.
First time viewer. You make it look so easy! From WNC but was using the same technique on the NC coast last month and all I could catch were lizard fish🤣😭 Thanks, I'll be back!
It’s a totally different world up north my guy. Definitely recommend if you can ever get up there. From shore to boat. Absolutely insane Fluking up north.
Do you have a cooler bag in your backpack? Lots of my spots involve long trecks...Would be nice to not have fluke dragging on a stringer...Especially on a Jetty
Yeah hot summer days and stringers...an abominable mix. We do use an Engel backpack cooler but it's been discontinued...I would figure out some kind of cooler/tote/backpack system for sure. It's only right to respect your catch for the table!
@@CookingandFishing yea they don't look cheap, 5$ each?! interesting, even the saltwater paddletails? I guess your talking about the jerk shads, I think I just need to try them myself
@@PeterRanieriII Nah they're just a few cents more than gulp per pc. The saltwater ones might be tougher, but they don't come in the sizes that make sense. The experiment is using the 4.8 - 6.8 fat swing impacts to see if it'll cull out a bigger bite.
Great video! It seems like a good day of fishing! What kind of fish gripper are you using? Is it a Boga? And also, what kind of backpack cooler do you use? It seems very convenient!
Fished south Jersey all holiday weekend long, capemay county Beaches there are flat. They don’t have the deeper water structure like you are fishing. Covered water and used your same presentation. I still enjoy your videos, but don’t think it works as well down there.
Same presentation doesn't mean same technique, that takes time to develop. One of our previous videos Marc was pulling a double limit out of a 3ft flat with almost no gradient to it, so it's not a matter of deep vs shallow. The other possibility is there simply aren't as many fluke around down south. Yet another scenario is the fish aren't ambushing near the wash, and you might have to find bars and sweeps and other soft structure slightly off shore. One tip I can give you is...the shallower the water, the lighter your jig should be. You want to maximize that hang time while it glides back to the bottom. Start at 1/4oz and go lighter.

She didn't shake the hook, he horsed the fish in the wash.
Tuff losing that fluke. Definitely got retribution. Keep pumping those fluke videos!!!
Thanks!
Yes it reminds me of the old saying !! The big one ..that gota away !
Hey man. I was walking off when you were walking out. You are a Ninja! Good to meet you. I'll be at that spot this weekend.
That's right! Good to meet you too. Thanks for watching and tight lines!
Great video. I just bought the backpack cooler you use. I am tired of carrying a hard cooler and was looking for something easier.
It’s a game changer. Thanks for watching!

That bobber rig catches em lol
Do prefer any specific tide time, high tide, low tide, coming in, going out?

another great season of shore domination!
Let’s get it Dave!

Great 🎣
can anyone explain what a single jig is? i am new to fishing
It's just one jig instead of having a teaser up above it
King Marc
Achilles!
Time those waves buddy! You can’t reel in the big ones fighting them and the outgoing waves! Surf those big ones in !
Is the morning a lot better than mid day? Thank you great vid.
Anytime is good. Thanks for watching!
Damn you catch lots of limits. I’ve gotta try out the single jig!
Single jig is King, esp from the surf. With the right technique you can catch quality fluke just about anywhere!
Awesome job with the limits man! That was some awesome action! Were you in NJ? Loved this video. 👍
Thanks! fluke can be caught anywhere as long as the technique is sound.
The way you’re working the jig and gulp, could a goofy jig and teaser work for fluke?
Not sure I understand the question - hi/lo jig/teasers work, just not as well :)
What’s ur method on dispatching the fluke?
Jaimie & Damon cut the gills and put it in water to bleed it out.
Awesome 👏
so what's your thought on the keitech? A good alternative that holds up better? Did you use any procure on them?
I need to use them a little more. But it's definitely promising. No need for procure.
Shore-Money Fishing gotcha, good to know, yea I’ve been using z-man jerk shads more, they hold up really good
Keitech definitely does not hold up better than gulp, and if anything you're looking at more money. But the action is second to none.

Cooler is this one - amzn.to/3hlWR9o - review coming soon!
Cooking and Fishing very nice! Thank you!
great job, how do you know to call it quits when it comes to fluking?
When the season ends! Sadly...
How do you keep the sea robins away ?
Nice Fluke! What brand is that tape measure you’re using at 3:30? Thanks.
What tide are you fishing? Outgoing or incoming low?
Both tides pretty much. They will bite as long as the water is moving.
is there a way to stop zmans from sliding down the hook
Tell me your secret
Where do I get that cool 4 poles fishing rod caddy? 🎣🎣🎣🎣
long discontinued unfortunately
Very nice vídeo!
Where can I buy one of those rod carrier?
Unfortunately these have long been discontinued.
You can make one out of pvc

if no bites...keep moving until you find fish, also try diff baits ie Gulp shrimp, SP Minnow, Kastmaster. rattle trap..clams..real shrimp....
You could be more gentle in releasing fish.
