I first watched because of the farm stand thief story. Since then, I've discovered some of your other videos. That misguided thief has given you a gift in a way. Too bad you had to deal with all of the stress he caused.
Anyone who would steal from a mom and pop farmstand, , especially anyone who would repeatedly steal from people as wholesome as this is someone who is truly messed up. It is especially disturbing that his own father is a willing accomplice in this thievery, instead of it's biggest deterrent . This is clearly and sadly a multi generational problem I hope this whole family gets brought to justice, and , even better, i hope they find their Conscience

I have a firewood stand. We’ve had a few heists, but for the most part, people have been honest. The money doesn’t upset me as much as much as the disappointment in other humans.
I love stands. Flower stands, egg stands, fresh produce stands. A place I lived even had a “take it if you need it” stand where everything was free, kind of like those food cupboards in suburban areas. It never occurred to me to not pay, it’s already a heck of a deal as the middleman has been cut out. You know it’s fresh, you know it’s local. Win-win.

I know the feeling, not at a government job but at a medical professional job. I'm not really sure how things got really so wrong with people's morals but from what I can see the way the elections are set up and only people with money can run breeds rampant corruption. I think we just need enough average Joe's/Jills to be willing to run and not get sucked into the system of corruption.

I also started watching because of the theft. I drove trucks for 40+ years and used to see honor stands regularly. In the last 6 or 7 years, they have mostly gone away, which is a loss for the community as well as the farmers. Garden veggies, corn, fruit, honey, flowers. I am glad there are still some out there, though. May you and your family be well

I'm from Norway, and I simply fall in love with this channel. The description of the society and everything that happens in the municipality becomes an example of what the real USA is, or an example of the fact that there is another USA outside of what you get to a large extent via the media channels. You are some wonderful people, and it makes me want to get over just embracing being wrong in your society, just for a little while.

My Mom grew up on a farm in Alabama during the Depression & WW 2. The community where my grandfather had his farm was 1 where if 1 person didn't have something & you had excess you bartered for it or swapped 1 thing for another. The community worked together to plant, cultivate & harvest crops. There was no such a thing as a tractor to do it for you then. If this kid needed food he should've asked before he took. I f his father was with him shame on the father for allowing him to do that. Having farmers in my family I know the hard work that goes into it. Glad I happened on your channel.
We have a farm stand in our community. It a lot of trust and faith . I don’t know if our guy has ever been a victim of this and will ask him next time I see him . But a big thanks to all that do this for their communitys.

We have these little stands around where I live. Little kids run one of them for their college fund and someone stole from them. It’s really low to steal from a stand that’s based on trust. I hope these people are brought to justice. These folks are decent hardworking people.

Those old storm windows sure make great doors on the farm stand shelves. For those who do not know, notice the tabs at the top of the door frames. The tabs at the top of the doors were used to hang the storm windows in the fall and winter months. Then during spring the storm windows got removed and screens put on so the main windows could be opened for fresh air and cooling the house. Just a little Fun Fact.

On our old farm [ that no longer exists] my Dad got fed up with rehanging the storm windows, took them all off and just covered the normal windows over with some clear tarps and 2x4s on the sills, nail them up every fall, pull it down each spring. Wasn't pretty but it got the job done. XD

As far as the arrest warrant goes. It's LITERALLY an ORDER from the issuing Judge to the Police demanding that the person named in the warrant be arrested and brought to appear before the Judge. Sometimes, they pick them up in a few hours. Others can take days or weeks, depending on how hard they are to find, and how far away they run. I imagine this guy watches your channel and knows now that there's a warrant, so he may go into hiding. But, they'll find him eventually. Blessings to you, your family, and your farm! ❤
They ain’t going to pick NOBODY up for a basic warrant. If they “happen” to run into him again during another arrest or traffic stop/contact with him then they will take him in.
I’m glad the arrest warrant has been issued and I hope they get him off the streets before he steals from anyone else or hurts someone. The people bringing him to your stand are guilty of theft just as he is, should be more since they are providing he means of getting there. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were all stealing from different farm stands all over. My mother’s home town was Monterey, TN and it’s only 10 miles from my home. The amazing thing is that if they came to your farm and let you know they were on hard times, I assume they would not left empty handed due to your generosity. Stealing from a farm stand is like raiding your own kids piggy bank….deplorable.
I used to do an honour tuck shop at my work place and would always have a few issues, but as time moved on, it got worse. The sad thing is, all profits went to various charities, so these people were stealing from them. The world is a different place now and there are too many dishonest people

I don't normally do comments. I quit my government job at the NSA in 2015. I quit because ... because I was unhappy with the abuses of the FISA courts. My unhappiness started long before that. I worked in an environment where everyone had security clearances. People of 'trust'. The fact is; you couldn't trust your lunch in the workroom fridge. You couldn't put your little League Toblerone bars at the counter based on trust. Your candy would get stolen. Honor systems broke down in government spaces a long time ago. And these are people that have security clearances. Lunches were stolen from the fridge; Clothes were stolen from hangers during the winter.
Yikes…..I worked in the “gov” for 39 years & just retired a few years back. Unhappy with FISA stuff is one thing, but having your trusted co-workers pilfering things is a big “no no”. There are a lot of unattended coffee messes in these 24/7 ops areas, I’m sorry that your goods were “borrowed”. Hope you reported it to SEC.
Ain't just there- it's everywhere. I believe in and live with the 'death before dishonor' principle. Old and poor I can't do much, but I can and will be an honorable person as everyone should be.

What I learned is it breaks down like this - 1/3 of the people are honest and principled, 1/3 are just sleepwalkers punching the time clock but don’t cause trouble, and the remaining third are completely free of ethics and morals and will do whatever they can get away with. My own boss (a LtCol) wasn’t allowed to be the first one in or last one out of our shop… because they knew he was a thief!! Eye opening experience, to be sure.

it's always because of two reasons : 1) Actual Struggle (Super rare, the fact that they drive a Subaru and lives with family I doubt they are) 2) Kelptomania steaing for the sake of stealing, impulses and dopamine. you don't need it but just you had opportunity and you took it.

We didn't refer charges but later learned she had stolen from other families that was in her friend circle.

I had really given a big break on the cost , but he kept putting me off in paying . One day I asked THE LORD to heap burning coals of fire on his head till he repented & paid me the money . I would really love to have a FARM STAND here an hour east of Memphis, TN. I just can't. We have a room in the house for power tools and chain saws to keep them from getting stolen.

We have these little stands around where I live. Little kids run one of them for their college fund and someone stole from them. It’s really low to steal from a stand that’s based on trust. I hope these people are brought to justice. These folks are decent hardworking people.

Just realized I' live a hop skip and a jump from you down 250 to the east just past Staunton. Went through the same thing with an honor stand a few years back but we never caught them. Glad you were able to identify them. Maybe in the long term, they can learn something from this experience.

Those old storm windows sure make great doors on the farm stand shelves.
For those who do not know, notice the tabs at the top of the door frames.
The tabs at the top of the doors were used to hang the storm windows in the fall and winter months.
Then during spring the storm windows got removed and screens put on so the main windows could be opened for fresh air and cooling the house.

On our old farm [ that no longer exists] my Dad got fed up with rehanging the storm windows, took them all off and just covered the normal windows over with some clear tarps and 2x4s on the sills, nail them up every fall, pull it down each spring. Wasn't pretty but it got the job done. XD

You're lucky, here in Canada the RCMP won't use reasonable photos or even look for thieves. Hope the law catches up with the thieves.

As far as the arrest warrant goes. It's LITERALLY an ORDER from the issuing Judge to the Police demanding that the person named in the warrant be arrested and brought to appear before the Judge. Sometimes, they pick them up in a few hours. Others can take days or weeks, depending on how hard they are to find, and how far away they run. I imagine this guy watches your channel and knows now that there's a warrant, so he may go into hiding. But, they'll find him eventually. Blessings to you, your family, and your farm! ❤

They ain’t going to pick NOBODY up for a basic warrant. If they “happen” to run into him again during another arrest or traffic stop/contact with him then they will take him in.

I’m glad the arrest warrant has been issued and I hope they get him off the streets before he steals from anyone else or hurts someone. The people bringing him to your stand are guilty of theft just as he is, should be more since they are providing he means of getting there. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were all stealing from different farm stands all over. My mother’s home town was Monterey, TN and it’s only 10 miles from my home. The amazing thing is that if they came to your farm and let you know they were on hard times, I assume they would not left empty handed due to your generosity. Stealing from a farm stand is like raiding your own kids piggy bank….deplorable.
I used to do an honour tuck shop at my work place and would always have a few issues, but as time moved on, it got worse. The sad thing is, all profits went to various charities, so these people were stealing from them. The world is a different place now and there are too many dishonest people

I don't normally do comments. I quit my government job at the NSA in 2015. I quit because ... because I was unhappy with the abuses of the FISA courts. My unhappiness started long before that. I worked in an environment where everyone had security clearances. People of 'trust'. The fact is; you couldn't trust your lunch in the workroom fridge. You couldn't put your little League Toblerone bars at the counter based on trust. Your candy would get stolen. Honor systems broke down in government spaces a long time ago. And these are people that have security clearances. Lunches were stolen from the fridge; Clothes were stolen from hangers during the winter.
Yikes…..I worked in the “gov” for 39 years & just retired a few years back. Unhappy with FISA stuff is one thing, but having your trusted co-workers pilfering things is a big “no no”. There are a lot of unattended coffee messes in these 24/7 ops areas, I’m sorry that your goods were “borrowed”. Hope you reported it to SEC.

@@markb8954 I’ve served in the military and worked in the corporate financial sector. What I learned is it breaks down like this - 1/3 of the people are honest and principled, 1/3 are just sleepwalkers punching the time clock but don’t cause trouble, and the remaining third are completely free of ethics and morals and will do whatever they can get away with. My own boss (a LtCol) wasn’t allowed to be the first one in or last one out of our shop… because they knew he was a thief!! Eye opening experience, to be sure.

it's always because of two reasons :
1) Actual Struggle (Super rare, the fact that they drive a Subaru and lives with family I doubt they are)
2) Kelptomania steaing for the sake of stealing, impulses and dopamine. you don't need it but just you had opportunity and you took it.
@@MelodyOo , my daughter's friend was like that, had known her for years, let her stay with my daughter overnight and she stole a ring off my sister and two hundred dollars right out of my top dresser drawer. We didn't refer charges but later learned she had stolen from other families that was in her friend circle.

We sold our farm 4 years ago and understand the hard work involved. We made our first maple syrup from our new property this spring and understand the work and time to make it. We are also Christians and believe in loving our neighbors, righteousness, justice and most importantly forgiveness. We hope your efforts to catch this thief are successful and that he/they can be saved. Hello from Albemarle County , Va about 11 miles north of Charlottesville !!! Just found your channel& love it already . My husband & I drive through Monterey & McDowell several times a year . It is beautiful there . I retired from Va. State Corrections about 15 years ago . I had a guy who owed me money one time for some show rabbits & hutches . I had really given a big break on the cost , but he kept putting me off in paying . One day I asked THE LORD to heap burning coals of fire on his head till he repented & paid me the money . I had only been home a few minutes from work when he pulled in my driveway with the money !!!
