Very impressive rhyme scheme and song structure. Not a huge Eminem fan, but this is clearly one of his most impressive, especially his second verse with the multi-syllables.
Congrats and 2Pac mentioned mine awesome isn't it. Also Jamie Foxx Anne Movie also of course Sparkle but he was a Jerk not all Males with the name is abusive to woman but we are talented "Satin."
99% of rappers try their whole career to come up with a verse as well put together as the second verse here. No one else can rhyme every syllable, 13 lines in a row, WHILE telling a story. No one. Your favorite rapper would sacrifice his first born just to be half as skilled as Em.
This song is just drenched with genius. The word play, the rhyme scheme, the flow, the literal word play with wild and mild, the beat with the heartbeat, and to top it off the story. As a criminologist understanding the psyche of some of the people he mentioned in the song is what I do. Not only does he have the graphic ways people get murdered but he doesn't excellent job at playing the part. How he struggles with himself to not kill but can't help himself is exactly what happens to a lot of the notorious serial killers. It's a secret they can't tell anybody because they enjoy doing evil things. Eminem further exposes his genius by his understanding of human psychology blended into his art. He's obviously a fan of learning about serial killers and how and why they do the things they do. This is why I'm astonished when anyone says he peeked at Marshall Mathers LP or that he's not even in the top 10 of best rappers of all time. This song alone with the amount of skill and creativity trounces 90% of rapper resumes imo and this isn't even his in his top 5 ever made. Rap God title is deserved because he earned it with his hard work and sacrifice. But I guess I'm a STAN for saying this and not because I appreciate genius when I see it, so just disregard everything I said.
For those who can get past the content of this song and actually listen to the wordplay, especially in the second verse, it's one of Eminem's best.. It's like he made it about such horrible shit so only people who could appreciate his skill could appreciate this song, if that makes any sense to anyone but me lol
The songs on Relapse are absolutey phenomenal. The lyrics are so perfect and the flow is always superb. People who cannot at least respect his wordplay and how much time and intelligence it takes to write these songs cannot be true Eminem fans.

I think a lot of people still haven't figure that he's talking about the perversion of a workaholic, the scent of a placenta is just smelling a new song, Brenda is the cold beat of winter. Etc etc. He would take hours to get into all the meaning. It's like 25 to life if you know his music.
Each of Marshall Bruce Mathers III alter egos define his albums. These are all of the albums lined up in rows that define what ego they stand for. All of his egos/personalities appear in each of his albums and are scattered throughout them. But these are how they are mainly presented: ----------------------- Slim Shady: ‘The Slim Shady LP’ (1999) ‘The Marshal Mathers LP’ (2000) ‘Relapse’ (2009) ‘The Marshal Mathers LP 2’ (2013) ‘Music To Be Murdered By’ (2020) (The evil, creepy demonic one.) ----------------------- Eminem: ‘The Eminem Show’ (2002) ‘Encore’ (2004) ‘Kamikaze’ (2018) (The cool, talented, funny, motivating one.) ------------------------ Marshal Mathers: ‘Recovery’ (2010) ‘Revival’ (2017) The man with a great heart and incredible talent, passion and motivation.) -------------------------

Dude he fuckin performed insane live and he talks incest child molestation, hanging himself in his room and all around fucked shit so why wouldn't he perform those other songs live ?
Eminem is the only hip hop artist that every song expresses so clearly the way he feels at the time he wrote the songs. He bleeds his heart out to his fans during the hardest times in his life and all we do is "rate" it. I feel like we as his fan base have driven him to snap (this time). I don't like a fair amount of his music but I appreciate it was his way of dealing with his demons, a way to express appreciation and respect, apologise and most importantly to express his love for his daughters and brothers. We should all take a step back and listen to his music from the first album to the last single and accept we were not in a position to judge and praise him for having the courage to show the world who he is.
Eminem is master of all. Love or hate the last 5 Albums, you can't deny the impact it's had on the industry. Just look at all the different styles in rap today and find the similarities from his albums and the different styles he brought with each one.

I grew up heard of em when his first one the slim shady came out when i was around 13 or so...
Shady never died...
Yes he did . but he was reborn as shady v2
Shady is rap god now
He’s dead after his newest album
Tron Cat maybe listen to framed we still got signs of shady
if you think that's the Real Eminem Think twice lol Open your Mind #Facts 😅
The second verse is one of the best verses in hip hop history!
Honestly, I've liked every one of Em's albums, every song he's made and every song he's been featured on. That's my input. Lol
Same story for me too bro!!!! SHADY FOR LIFE
listen to foolish pride then ahahah
Second that
+therobbie1000 don't even start with foolish pride.
Drew Pryor even fack?
Jeez he's so frickin talented, 3rd verse is brilliant, no other rapper can even match his standards damn
#Facts
Hello beautiful...
i will never understand why people dont like his accents in his songs on relapse. they increase the variety of rhymes with many words
I think this is honestly the most underrated hip hop track, the flow and rhyme schemes in this are godly.
Very impressive rhyme scheme and song structure. Not a huge Eminem fan, but this is clearly one of his most impressive, especially his second verse with the multi-syllables.
Whether you like his music or not, you can't deny his skills on the mic
***** Agreed
Listen to music box . it is also a very impressive song
You dead if you dont like em
What a honor.
He mentioned my name.
My husband wanted to call our son Damien but I said no way, I've seen "The Omen" That's a scary kid dude..😈
I looked at this comment right when he said your name
Same lulzzz
👏👏😂😂😂
Congrats and 2Pac mentioned mine awesome isn't it. Also Jamie Foxx Anne Movie also of course Sparkle but he was a Jerk not all Males with the name is abusive to woman but we are talented "Satin."
Em's wordplay and schemes are legendary.
99% of rappers try their whole career to come up with a verse as well put together as the second verse here. No one else can rhyme every syllable, 13 lines in a row, WHILE telling a story. No one. Your favorite rapper would sacrifice his first born just to be half as skilled as Em.
Bruh
The cadence in this song might be one of the best ever used in a rap
Don't understand why even em himself doesn't like relapse
All he does is talk about his demons. I don't like my demons, why would he.
'Cause the critics made him think it was bad .
alot better then recovery and mmlp 2 even though they are great albums. his word play in relapse were brilliant, 3rd best album he has released imo
It displays to him how fucked up he can be.
One of my fav albums just because it's so wacky =)
This generation can’t handle this song haha
I can 😜
Facts. Other then me ofc 😂
@@lanceroberts7492 ah😂
@@yoanchest287 yes sir. I’m experienced in the way of the goat
@@lanceroberts7492 you intend eminem?you are like him?good sir
For those who can get past the content of this song and actually listen to the wordplay, especially in the second verse, it's one of Eminem's best.. It's like he made it about such horrible shit so only people who could appreciate his skill could appreciate this song, if that makes any sense to anyone but me lol
Matt Hartwell its about Ted Bundy :)
The songs on Relapse are absolutey phenomenal. The lyrics are so perfect and the flow is always superb. People who cannot at least respect his wordplay and how much time and intelligence it takes to write these songs cannot be true Eminem fans.
Matt Hartwell that's how I always felt about his work. He makes it for his fans, not his ass kissers.
Matt Hartwell ya the content is kind of the whole song and it has meaning so dont comment stupid shit plz, thank u!
Tyler Kmak PHENOMENAL PHENOMENAL PHENOMENAL, phenomenal...
I like come back every so often to read the comments and see how we all realize this is one the most lyrical, vivid songs in Em’s catalog. It’s a masterpiece
“Soon as my flow starts, I compose art like the ghost of Mozart” what a line to kick it all off
This Saved Me In A Lot Of Lonely Nights. Thank You Eminem!!
Wow I just love the good vibes I get from this song. So motivating and uplifting. I listen to this every morning and before I go on dates.
Dafuk?
God dayyum 🤣
anyone else feeling like MGK forgot about relapse?
FACTS!!!! FUCK mgk
Selective memory loss I'm sure
Straight facts!
mgk is a joke he got breast implants...
No but em made mgk relapse. Never talk bout another mans daughter. Listen to gts my mgk
The beginning is the killers perspective and the second verse is the victims, talent my friends, talent.
ThugBlytas hell yeah
I stumbled back to EMs old music some i still really like n dont BUT THIS n like many other ones makes me wonder Is EVERYONE ignore the fact this dude is litterally speaking on the fact about EM RAPING/ABUSING A GIRL ??? or do u all just ignore the Lyrics to STAY WIDE Awake?? Yall sleep ASF
ruspa86 n u but hurt bett
so what if hes talking about abuse or rape its good music better than the shit he dose now even if he was actually doing the shit he talks about in this album its still good and you can listen to it no one is ignoring the what he is going on about we love it for what hes saying
No its his perspective of the victims perspective 😬😂
I’ve often thought this was the pinnacle of the Slim Shady persona. I may be wrong, but the song is just perfect.
That third verse...it's like bro chill you don't HAVE to rhyme every syllable take it easy lol jk
Second verse
Yeah and I was even like HOLD IT DOWN Now I'm looking back like wtf happened?
Yeah the runs on the 3rd verse are nuts.
Evry S ill able? :) okiDoc i
@@joshuapowell6911 People talk about how his 2nd verse is the most insane but I personally think the 3rd is the best even though he changes rhymes half way through the verse. The flow in 3rd verse is insane specially when he changes rhymes to "Now I use power tools how about now are you in the shower".
Probably the darkest lyrics ever. It makes me uncomfortable, but the flow is so incredible I can't stop listening, Amazing.
and people say this album is trash....lol
Ikr, this shit if not is his best album in my opinion
Coloured ppl didn't likee it.
I think people were just thrown off by the accent. I hated this album and thought it was bad because of it but I’ve grown to love and appreciate it. Relapse went from being by least favorite Em album to being my 2nd favorite after MMLP.
@Jay , same bro! Same! It went from one of my least to my second fav album before Revival and after TES
Itler itch facts lol
The rhyme scheme is this song is absolutely ridiculously impressive, every single word rhymes and is perfectly on beat
Damn the flow to this song is amazingly smooth!
I LOVED this album! Why so many didnt, ill NEVER understand. Yes, the words are tough to listen to for some, but its so well put together! I miss this Em to be honest
Same. Relapse is my favorite Eminem album and I think this is his best song.
*TRUTH*
This album, hated though it was, is without question rap *GOLD!!*
I feel like gold right now. About go be melted down In a chain.
I remember running thru all his albums as a pre teen just looking for hits. Went thru this album and definitely wasn't a fan besides We made you. Revisited it a while back and definitely a top 3 album for me
The most slept on album ever existed.
Memories of the summer of 2009 with my Vicodin after my ankle injury. This CD was the greatest gift from my cousin after I got hurt lol. Relapse is a masterpiece.
only real hip hop heads will appreciate this song.
This scheme and flow is unreal
In the last few months I found myself listen to this song every day.. their is something special about the flow here
I think a lot of people still haven't figure that he's talking about the perversion of a workaholic, the scent of a placenta is just smelling a new song, Brenda is the cold beat of winter. Etc etc. He would take hours to get into all the meaning. It's like 25 to life if you know his music.
the flow, the beat, the lyrics, the eVeRYtHiNg. especially the choir singing in there. one of the best Em songs
It's 2018 and I still hear this song
Harsh Ramratan good shit
Same
Each of Marshall Bruce Mathers III alter egos define his albums. These are all of the albums lined up in rows that define what ego they stand for. All of his egos/personalities appear in each of his albums and are scattered throughout them. But these are how they are mainly presented:
-----------------------
Slim Shady:
‘The Slim Shady LP’ (1999)
‘The Marshal Mathers LP’ (2000)
‘Relapse’ (2009)
‘The Marshal Mathers LP 2’ (2013)
‘Music To Be Murdered By’ (2020)
(The evil, creepy demonic one.)
-----------------------
Eminem:
‘The Eminem Show’ (2002)
‘Encore’ (2004)
‘Kamikaze’ (2018)
(The cool, talented, funny, motivating one.)
------------------------
Marshal Mathers:
‘Recovery’ (2010)
‘Revival’ (2017)
The man with a great heart and incredible talent, passion and motivation.)
-------------------------
I listen to this song at least twice a day and the last verse gets me every time.. can't even fade that shit.. 15 times
I really hate that he never performed this live, as far as we know there is no video proof. It wouldve been great to see these ridiculous verses live. This, same song and dance, buffalo bill, and music box deserve to be heard live in my opinion.
They wouldn't have let him perform these songs live
Dude he fuckin performed insane live and he talks incest child molestation, hanging himself in his room and all around fucked shit so why wouldn't he perform those other songs live ?
It's because this probably took 6 takes to record
Don't forget My Darling
@@em-tandtonymavey3373 That song was amazing he needs to preform these songs live man
Whole relapse album is filled with different flows, accents & stories. Just Favourite album for sure
One of the best songs showing his lyrical ability imo. Even with the lyrics I struggle to sing along. Genius
That last verse. holy fuuuuuuckkkkk
Fully agree its insane
One of his best!
Such an under rated song, the flow on this is insane
Eminem is master of all. Love or hate the last 5 Albums, you can't deny the impact it's had on the industry. Just look at all the different styles in rap today and find the similarities from his albums and the different styles he brought with each one.
Not to mention his newest albums 🙌
Relapse is a masterpiece
This album underrated af..
Some of em' best songs are here
Can anyone imagine the look on Dr. Dre's face when em was recording this?
One word, Kim.
Don`t worry D. dre knows Eminem pretty well its not a big deal for him.
@@hatguy3726 nah this is definitely Em’s most fucked song. Or at least that he released
@@louisyon313 Well Kim + 97' Bonnie and Clyde are pretty nasty.
@@jackleslie7391 you right 97 Bonnie and Clyde is the worst
This masterpiece scares me ..the flow and rhymes haunt me
Addicted to this song.
Poetry at its finest, why this man is continually denied a place amongst the greatest of all time by racist crybabies is beyond me
jawztv ohh but he is.
Judba Kilam Is what?
among the grandmasters of rap
+Alexander Fabrizio big props from rakim especially, but Eminem is known everywhere. Ask an old fart to name a rapper and he would surprise you by saying Eminem but probably couldn't name another rapper. Hate him or love him everyone respects him. And if they don't, he ends their career in 4 minutes
