    Vaseline was my first thought, randomly. I’m making custom cups with vinyl, and decided to add some rhinestones for extra wha-bam, and had the weird cloudiness appear on my cups. Ty for your tutorial!

      I started using Formula 560 which is like industrial Elmers glue. No more haze and it holds pretty well so far.

    bonus guide on making windscreens and windows! That's brilliant. Also Hot Wheels blisters work really well since they have a range of curves and flat sections to choose from

      Awesome idea. Thanks for that. I keep a blister pack just for this purpose.

    Gun cleaner works as well. I use Hoppe's 9 lubricating gun oil, its a very small orange container. I don't know how or why it works but it's instant fix.

    I just made a neon sign and I have a haze where I used super glue. I thought my project was ruined. Nope, Magic Eraser! No joke! It’s not super abrasive and works well on the acrylic sheet. Saved the day! I cut it into smaller pieces to fit in between the gaps. Don’t use oil- it’ll dry up or collect dirt/dust.

    Yes it takes longer to set and clear out but it doesn't haze.

    What do you use for hood pins on DCP trucks if the originals are lost or destroyed?

    • @RockinHFarmToys
      @RockinHFarmToys  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. I drill an 1/16th inch hole through the hood pin holes. Then use a 1/16th rod through the hood and pin holes to secure it. Works great!

      I have not kept a model long enough to know how well it works over time. I've not put on paint either. I've been told BSI Gold super glue does not leave a glue haze like the MaxiCure Extra thick does.
