I got GH skates for park skating! I wanted the stiffer ankle and tongue to help with ramps and bowls... even though they are a figure skating company they are awesome at the park. By far my favorite skates and the company’s customer service is outstanding!
I KNOW! Now you know why I Had to! I have enough too! But I’m gonna buy even another 🤷🏻♀️ 😆🌟 don’t do anything yet they are coming out with another boot between the Noble and Magic 🤩 and I’m gonna try heat molding the Noble and see how it feels 👍🏻
I got my first pair of GH skates today, after months of going back and forth about which skates to buy. Your unboxing video heavily influenced my decision- you are one of the few to discuss why the vanguard plate was a good upgrade. I also appreciate the fact that you paid for your own skates; it makes me feel you’re more likely to be a helpful voice. I can’t wait to see my new street nobles when they come in. Thank you!
Let me know how you like them!! I highly recommend vanguard, when I switch to the other GH skates I have with the fiber compound plate I feel less capable of edging the way I want.
@Appelusa At first they were completely amazing! I could do all my movements better, and I felt more in control. Then they developed a horrible squeaking. I cleaned them, changed the bearings, the wheels, etc. I put paraffin wax in the pivot cup to try and stop any noise there. I even made sure the cushions had a bit of wax between them and the cups they sit in. Nothing made the squeak stay away permanently. The company thinks it’s the wheels and are sending me new wheels, but I’ve already had other wheels on the skates. I’m super frustrated that they only worked well about 3 weeks
Looking forward to your skating tutorials. You are such a great instructor and I love your training techniques. I want to learn skate dancing and figure skating for beginners. Keep up the great works!
@@appelusa That's awesome! Thank you so much for all your hard works and I really enjoy watching and learning from you. I am very comfortable and can do some really cool tricks now and loving it! Lol
Nooooo not another pair of skates to fall in love with 😍. And nice to see that GH gives so many tools with the skates. Also didn’t know that the toe stopper was different on these skates. Thanks for sharing
@@appelusa it addictive especially when you see colourful skates. You want to own them all 😆. I went on their site and noticed they added a new line which is reasonably priced for beginners and I bought it. @@mystiquek9870 yes I just got another pair actually ! the Cloud with the fiber plate and will be making an unboxing video. My husband has been in the hospital with covid so I’m waiting for things to normalize. He will be ok! I want to see how the amateur skate does as a main skate while I’m back here on Kauai 😊 What skate did you get!!!???
@@appelusa praying for a speedy recovery for him. Ohhhh I was eyeing the Cloud line too but ended up purchasing Street Pony Quad Rollers. Soooo excited 😆
I have 220s and I love the stiffness. I am interested but unsure of a suede boot over time. I am impressed with the stiffness of these but will wait and see how they fare long term. I am saving for some Edeas.
The suede is definitely a personal preference. It is real suede and they test against fading. But I understand your concern. I love my Edea's but wanted a more fun street pair as well.
I have the bont parkstars I like how they have very little heel and are naturally wide and I think I might have paid 400$ total. Being a guy it's hard finding skates that fit me well and I will say to any men looking for skates the parkstars are great
I like flex in the boot, i recently bought Bauer NS and can get on with them, im someone who likes speed and change bushes for hard ones and tightened down a lot and use boot flex to lean in fast long 'running' turns without the trucks over steering but the stiff as steel boots of the Bauer NS wont allow that :( Ive gone back to skating on my Bauer turbo and Supreme Turbo's and my NS have sat in a cupboard with only two skates to their name.
@@appelusa yeah, they should re sell for a reasonable amount, they are as new with no marks on them at all. Its a shame as they are very nice looking skates and a manly design but they just don't suit my way of skating :( I get on very well with my Bauer Turbo and Supreme Turbo skates, although they are a hard boot, they have a hinged ankle allowing forward and back movement and the upper has quite a lot of flex in it giving the sidewards movement i want and that's the part where the ultra rigid Bauer NS fails me :(
Are those skates adapted for competition or true artistic skating ? Because I hesitate between Edea Ritmo and Golden Horse Street Noble, both are same stiffness and have same performance but prices are so different and I do prefer the Gh look more ☺️
Hm, people do use GH for art skating. I think the plate is comparable. I think the Edea boot may be more comfortable. Just my opinion! But I’m on Edea Classica which is like a cloud so… and it’s lower cut for art dance skating so it’s just what I’m used to. I don’t think you’ll go wrong either way
Right? I do miss them. I tried to put them on my Classica boot but doesn’t work. Had to try out the Rolline. Good to try though for the skaters I put them on- should know how the react! I may keep my old skaters Snyder’s - the actually fit 😆
I’m not sure how to answer this question, nor do I have the knowledge. But Moxi are Riedell skates and Sure Grip and Riedell make similarly designed skates. I don’t know how you would not have a similarly designed skate with so many brands these days. I think it’s great that there is a consumer prices skate option that is also good quality. Also, Golden Horse has been around 50 years making skates.
@@jasonnicholasschwarz7788 I'm sorry I would disagree! Artistic skates cost over $1000. My skaters going from amateur beginner level $150 skates had nothing in between. They had to invest in the $700 plus skates. I am stoked there is an in between skate- and the Street magic and Street Diamond boots are even cheaper. The plate is excellent and the price, in my opinion, is unbeatable.
@@appelusa girl I wish! I had to get rid of my credit card debt! I did however purchase Riedell Zones w the neo plate! The purple skates look so cute on you! I hope you enjoy them.
@@appelusa I’ve been on them for almost a month now. They’ve helped me become a better skater for sure! The difference a good plate makes with some decent cushions is astronomical. I’m doing strides I couldn’t before. The suede boot is really nice bc you can tie it tight around your ankles without sacrificing mobility in the ankles. The tongue slips to the side but I found a solution for that. The insoles were awfully hard so I got some Dr. Scholls and cut them so they were the same shape as the original insole. Overall, I love them!
Half price of a professional skate! I would recommend this for those who are more artistic skating. It's def an investment. But I will be getting the Street Magic or Diamond (new boot coming out) to try next which is more for recreational skaters and way more affordable.
@@beanieboosdollsmore6486 those are Edea Classica boots and Rolline Variant plate with Sure Grip aerobic wheels and Bones Reds bearings 🥰 the reason I partnered with GH is to be able to promote a company to my own skaters that I trust makes quality skates and skate parts.
