Wasteland 3 - Money exploit (after 1.3 patch)

1. realizing the patches 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 had removed all the exploits in the game.
2. Being unaware of Number 1 and started a Supreme Jerk playthrough.
I figured this would help someone who is stuck in the game as its not as game breaking as it was at launch.
Enjoy the video as all previous videos on youtube date back to September 2020. That's before the first patch was released.....How has no one made a video on this yet! I am the first after scouring online and youtube to no avail.
So like, share, subscribe. Do all that stuff that you do on your end!
Walk through in Steps
1) Create a character from "Manage Squad"
2)Give him full Charisma and Luck - any extra into Intellegence.
3)Perks Both Perks in Barter are crucial.
4) Sell all Junk (Auto Save before) Buy Junk from your HQ armoury find the most expensive Junk items that the vendor has a large or moderate quantity in.
5)Select the stack on junk items you want to buy so that you can Re sell.
If you have 20 items- sell them all and next time you buy them from the vendor only buy 19 of that item.
Repeat this process and always Buy -1 of the full stack available to purchase.
By not selling the full quantity and by changing the number of items sold, The game doesn't recognize that you are Cheesing- and this is after the 1.3 patch!!
Key tips- Dont sell the Full inventory of Junk back to him over and over again- You will always lose your money- so example- Buy 20 furs, Sell them all, Buy 19 furs, sell all, buy 18 furs, sell all, buy 17 furs, sell all......ETC
You can do it from as little as a stack of 2 junk items.
Try it out and please let me know if this is the first Post Patch Cheese Fix that you've found ....Since September 2020 :P

Ugh hate companies that patch single player glitches, let me have fun!
I agree completely. The game had so many issues and to fix an exploit that creates a fun play through over a game breaking bug , it's just such a bad use of developer time

Hi, so I am playing Wasteland after the big patch, hardest diff, hardcore mode. It still works, so thanks. Need the money to buy guns back to strip them for parts to upgrade weapons... :D

@@colmnolan3792 Thanks. Also I found out that if you take a Prospector Quirk with your character, it works even if you do leave him in a base. I found nuggets while he wasn't part of my active squad. Good idea to create that character right from the beginning.

No it' does not . An traders no longer save junk items to rebuy
@@dread123 yeah just tried one xone, does not work anymore.
It still works! Fun fact, the only junk item it doesn't work on is the Polaroid photo. At least it never works for me

Lol, I just came from their patch note page and saw that too! One more thing Is Ananda Rabindranath toaster book inf. Buying still working? I just bought everything from him, and I didn't see in their latest patch? Also when did they sneak the patch in, I've been playing non stop and didn't notice any patch? There is something really cool though that they didn't patch aka ruin the fun of, and I'm not telling because snitches seem to be stalking your page.

Doesnt work anymore. Sold 45 pices of the same type of junk. Got the perc triggered. Bought 44 back to sell them once more. There i noticed the 1 item i didnt bought back still was there - so it didnt vanish like the video says. Then i sold the 44 - no trigger - bought 43 back - sold them - no trigger... They fixed it i guess.
Yeah apparently so, I haven't played since the last update bit in the link below they officially mention they fixed an exploit with sell items.... They caught on eventually and it's pretty crazy that with all bugs in the game, they're focusing on exploits that make the game more fun

Thanks for this, any idea where the best place to stock up on sellable junk is?
I could be wrong but I think random encounters and searching around towns is the best bet. If you get into a battle on the world map there's always a chest with ammunition and a few junk items. Try not to miss them and looting the dead of course ;)
Why they patch my junk perk n not Long load times I swear snitches ruin everything it’s a sp game who snitched 😂
why charisma and luck?
To be honest it's a dump stat.
Intelligence gives you more skill points.
Charisma gives you more experience to level up and get skill points.
Luck may help the antiques appraiser work... But it's really just an extra thought.
I hope this clears it up and also apologies for the late reply. I started playing wasteland 2 again on SJ and had to go back to WL3 to remember the details :)

@@colmnolan3792 Yep, before the latest patch, I was able to do this on ps4/ps5. Then the other night, the junk you sell cannot be bought back. 😩

Yep. Just remember to sell all quantities of the junk and buy them all back -1. This will keep the perk active :)
Yea thanks i just saved all the high value items until i had at least 30 of each and then did the glitch and made alot of money tx for the info.

dont think this works anymore.. just tried it and bought back everything -1, then resold.. no antique deals happened
