I've had mine for at least 15 years and it still works like a charm

I’ve never understood why people always set the platform on the tree first. I always set the seat first so I can push it up the tree high and out of the way. I find it to be more efficient with the less movements/adjustments and quieter.

      I do the same.

That stands takes a little getting used to. It gets easier every time. Awesome stand. The top when you climb, when you are ready to seat it to tree. Pull seat to you and then down and it will get locked in and ready to pull up bottom. Just a little tip that whooped my butt a couple times. Good luck to you

Looks like a great way to end up in a Wheel chair or dead NEVER climb without the proper safety equipment.

The climber combo 2 weighs 17lbs the smaller assault climber is 14.7 lbs I have both! You chose wisely I use the larger combo 2 on the majority of my hunts I will deal with the extra few pounds to get that extra room on the platform good video enjoy your new climber good luck this season

I am looking to buy a lone wolf hand climber and debating which one I should get for months. I dont know if I should sacrifice the extra room on the platform and go with the Assault hand climber since its 3 lbs lighter. When you're hunting in the Assault climber, do you have enough room on the platform for your leg stance to shoot something behind you since the seat doesn't flip up?

@@bobbydenezza7795 from my experience i would go with the combo 2 the larger platform is better for moving around and turning to shoot the three pounds is no big deal to me as I don’t have to hike back to my spots more than a half mile

I use the smaller assault combo climber. I wanted the stand to be as light as possible for the long hikes to my set. With bow, backpack...and hopefully a deer to haul, I chose mobility over comfort. As a thin-framed person (5’ 9” 175lbs) it works well. Larger fellas may want the assault 2.

Which is best for your back I have so e injuries that flair up sitting in a normal tree stand so I typically hunt on the ground because of it, just for a background incase any one else has the same problem, the problem is I have crushed lumbar discs and bulging discs that press nerves and on of my lumbar discs is completely obliterated and it's just bone on bone according to the doctor spit hurts once in awhile lol

Is there a foot strap that goes with it? It's real hard to climb with small seat

Good review. Does your back ever get sore with this climber?

I can tell from my long experience with climber stands any climber without lumbar support is going to hurt your back but you can buy a pad for that

I'm 6'3" tall and 280 pounds. Pretty good shape too. Will it hold me 20' up?

Seems to be to much of a hassle for me. Lots of noise and moving around lol. I'd rather walk right in and get right in my 25 feet tree stand and be done with it lol.no noise .
