Let me tell you why… most of these teams just grab the first Puerto Rican/Dominican off the street and make them their official translator. The Yankees’ spanish and japanese translators were also the players’ english teachers but it behooves them to keep them from learning the language so they can continue getting paid
yeah as a fluent spanish and english speaker, usually the translators translate the word to its literal meaning instead of translating it to the context of what hes saying
