fear will never BE they killed not only nick but the series they killed Travis and then Alicias boyfriend and Troy(as much as i hate him i like him too) they are not allowing the relationships or whatever it is between the characters to develop it is sooo dumb

I think, that's exactly why i don't like this show. Once a character gets development, they kill him off. You can't forge a bond in this show. The show doesn't allow to connect to the chracters. A BIG flaw. And for me, it's unforgivable
In real world he would be dead long time ago , I am just suprised that he got to season 4 ...

I know Frank Dillane asked to be written off the show to pursue other interests but man, am I ever going to miss Nick. He was the first character we saw on Fear The Walking Dead and he was my favorite. Flawed but immensely interesting character. The show won't be the same without him. 😢💔
Nick didn't have to be killed off he could of went solo you know.
I think Dillane also mentioned the rigors of doing a series plus he missed his homeland too. I wish him nothing but the best. At least we have more Nick to look forward to in those flashbacks. 🙂
Angelique Canty they probably knew he wouldn't be returning to the show ever again even if they beg him to, so it had to be a storyline that needed to end so fans and theorists would stop bugging the producer about Nick whereabouts in the show.

@@toumabernabe737 theres interviews with Erickson(the old showrunner) and he talks about how the show was going to be about Madison and her becoming a "villain " like character. The series was supposed to end with nock vs Madison

I realize this. I blamed the writers, not Kirkman. They should still follow his lore and ways. And also get committed actors who won't want a way out mid-filming.

His death did have a meaning though, just dullard don't pay attention to the deeper beats of the episodes plot.
Morgan warned him not to pursue this kind of action in killing... just a vicious circle that goes on and on.

RIP NICK! YOU WERE LOVED BY SO MANY! I watched this episode by myself and had a true WTF moment when I heard the gunshot. I know now that actor wanted to leave the show, but I hope he sees this and understands the impact that he left on fans. I’ve never stopped watching the walking dead (any of the shows) over something. But Nicks death was it for me, for season 4. After his death, I quit FTWD, and I started watching again with season 5 and now the upcoming season 6. Nick was and will forever be my favorite fear character.

Yep. Fantastic 3 episodes so far. So much to look forward to. Nick's death came as a total shock to me but that's great writing right there (even if it was forced upon due to Frank Dillane asking to leave the show).
I don't think it's great writing. Nick was a fun character to me, now he's dead, which means that fun will go away.
They had to "Nick him off" (pun intended) as the actor wanted off the show to pursue other projects. They could have offed him any number of ways but this was well done imo.

Frank Dillane did ask to leave; he didn't get shafted like Chandler Riggs did.
Yea I read that, but still. I was at that point at which I started to like "Fear the Walking Dead" more than "Walking Dead", but with losing their main character the whole crossover excitement is lost. They should have made better deals before producing the series.
First of all, Nick isn't the star of the show. It's more of an ensemble deal, but Kim Dickens has top billing so technically SHE is the main character. Second of all, he's already committed three years of his life to the show and the actors aren't SLAVES.

I don't know the writer that came up with the idea of Nick's dear, but he/she is either a very inspired writer or he/she had had a new death experience... Because every details leading to the moment Charlie shot Nick, was accurate to the last act... Just before you die you just get tired and fed up of life and everything that has to do with earth... I kinda knew Nick was going to die anytime soon from the 2nd episode. But it still hurt like hell watching him struggle for life, I had a tear drop from my eye

That was certainly unexpected, but it was FAR better handled than Travis's pointless death; at least Nick's revenge arc wrapped up, with Morgan's "It's not gonna work out how you think" line coming to fruition.
I sincerely hope that the reactors saying they're done with the show will at least take the fact that Frank Dillane ASKED to leave into account, because I love all y'all and I hate to see any of you go
