    Watching your videos is reassuring me that I’m on the right track. I have a friend who’s just starting to get his head around making his money work for him, so I’m forwarding your content his way. Thanks for your work, keep it coming.

    I think these shorts could be a great way to ‘bitesize’ certain aspects of investing and breakthrough a lot of jargon for people!

      Yes, interesting idea. I could do short video on jargon busting. Or what is a stock, what is a bond what is a fund. Nice idea

    The simplest and easiest way to become a pension millionaire is to work for the civil service.

    Checked a while ago and my standard life default fund was the passive life 3 a bit lack luster so I bumped it up to the passive plus 5 which is a more on the risk scale.
    The fees stayed cheap aswell.

    Should I move old pension pots into my current one and grow it all together?
    I have 4 now and I would prefer it to be nice and simple

    It's kind of annoying to find all of them if you've changed jobs often, but it's better to have it all in a SIPP to better manage your risk and take money out when you've retired.

      Yes, but you only need to do it once. New company pensions are normally quite good, with online access where you can easily check things. If you can remember the password...

    It's also worth noting that you don't have to pay in to just one fund. Depending what your scheme offers, then surely it's worth considering multiple funds in different countries/sectors. In my view I believe it should be treated just like a portfolio, however I do realise that this may be beyond the scope of non investors. What do you think? Maybe they should watch your videos🤣

    • @JamesShack
      @JamesShack  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if they are available. Most will just give you risked based funds but other will let you choose sectors. It depends how confident you are with the selection!

    Apparently your pot is not the only thing you've been growing, it's that manly wad of chest hair too 👀
