I think it's been compounded. Foul was very justifiably a yellow card, Trossard isn't even looking at the ball, he's just wanting to hurt Silva. Could have gone either way, and then I think the kick pushed the referee over the edge tbh@@Aggelaki777
@@olivercawrey405 possibly yeah, I'd be happy to accept it if the referee didn't have a proven track record of bias towards city tbh. that's where my main concern comes from
Not a Gunner but that ref is a joke. Needs his bank checking out because he has repeatedly favoured City in most of the games he's been responsible for. Nobody is talking about the ball he threw at Gabriel's head and over celebrating a freaking draw... Then they say Arsenal were playing the dark arts playing deep and ultra defensive and wrre boring? Excuse me? City are the most dullest footy team in prem, nothing about them is entertaining. Plus they crowd the ref at every moment they can 😑 Imma go eat my Snickers ✌🏽
Doku literally kicked the ball back to where the free kick was supposed to be taken from?? And Trossard already had a yellow from pulling a player back earlier in the game, the second yellow was for kicking the ball and delaying the restart. Arsenal fans are hilarious man, it’s obviously a red card for a double yellow🤷🏻♂️ the rules still apply to your team even if you don’t like it
With the Trossard one- no matter what your opinion is on the rule- when you’ve seen your teammate get a second yellow for nudging the ball, why blast it away and run the risk. I’m a Utd fan, so no reason to back City ever, but the Doku one some Arsenal fans complained about was him passing the ball to where the ref was pointing. That’s my take 🤷♂️
100% a second yellow. Trossard goes trough the guy in the back without even looking at the ball and then boots the ball away. Very clear yellow for the referee to hand him
You can’t say he tried to pass it, it’s true what Paul Merson said if he tried to pass it, he simply slide foots it, not hoofs the ball. And doku one, the ref blows his whistle to say take the free kick further back so he taps it back not wacks it.
Doku passes the ball back with a tap to where the ref is pointing and trossard is so stupid why is he pumping the ball away while on a yellow and I don’t care what people say he knows what he’s doing and hears the whistle and just pumps it away
i think the trossard yellow is in the refs eyes is 2 unnecessary moments combining in to a yellow with the shoulder to the back of silva, the consistency is shite but still think this is a fair yellow for 2 unsmart moves with in seconds
Disagree about trossard he was mid sprint but you can see him hear the whistle as he hesitates to kick it then just decides to half arse the kick.. was very stupid from him imo...
Hahaha complaining about something when a player should just learn to not kick the ball away is ridiculous and doku kicked the ball back to where the freekick was supposed to be taken from
Arsenal fans are today's Liverpool fans of yesteryear........ Never ever have commited a foul and never ever gotten weird decisions getting their way...... Saying your player do not deserve a second yellow after reacting to the signal(of a VERY clear foul that is borderline yellow in itself, led with the arm/elbow into the opponent in high pace) and booting the ball far away is ludacris. That is actually exactly what they wanted rid of in the game. What was the worst mistakes in this game was actually not giving Havertz a yellow after 10 seconds, that was so obviously shithousery from that assclown. But even worse is the ref lets the freekick get taken without a signal AFTER he had called both captains for a chat. Oliver MUST then let both of them take up their positions before letting the freekick go..... And before people start moaning about Haaland "throwing" the ball at Gabriel after the 1-1 as a red, it never was, never will and never should be. For it to be called aggravated Haaland would've had to kick the ball. And as you all should be aware of, VAR does not check on yellow card offenses(even if ManU/Newcastle try to pay for it(I am pretty sure they actually are, the trolls)) hence why there was no check. And Gabriel's goal also should've been taken away, Saliba AND Martinelli are both hindering Ederson to move. Saliba by pushing him towards the goalline and Martinelli backs(not even looking in the direction the ball comes from making it a foul according to the rules) into Ederson from behind. So no, you have not been victims of injustice. You actually have been lucky to not get more thrown at you. The refs have been very nice to you. Only ones to blame are your players doing retarded things..... Rice is supposed to be a leader, so why tf is he doing that? Trossard is not quite right up there so understandable he does it. And Arteta needs a 98 match-ban, just to follow suit of the decision against Hürzeler. Arteta has done that 98 times since the start of 22/23-season...... What's up with that, doc?
So I think that the Trossard one isn't a yellow, but don't ask for one for Doku. If you can't pass the ball towards where the ref is indicating that it's supposed to be played from, then it's fully over for everyone. If you increase the distances and the ball goes all the way to the keeper, you'd obviously expect them to whack it towards the halfway line, and you arguably might give them a yellow if they just leave the ball at their feet until an opposition player comes to move it back
Liverpool get screwed every season. Haaland sh*thousery deserved action but nothing done (not surprised) Doku kicked the ball away and didn’t get booked. I believe silva did so as well Lisandro Martinez deserved a red for that stupid 2 footed challenge but nothing done. All in all, I’ve said it since 2017/18 I hate the prem because the officiating is bs, yet I watch it. Why? Because I enjoy football (mostly the prem) but it’s beyond a joke
I've heard so many "football" people in podcasts and studios etc only saying that Trossard is only stupid an no one even mentioning what Andy is saying here. Honestly Carragher and Neville move out and get Andy in
Five Guys burgers are so clear of any other fast food chains burger its not even funny also michael oliver was well biased to let city win hes on their payroll
There's 0 consistency in the rule. Seems like (well no one else has done it) but if you're on a yellow they are booking you for it. Their grey area is "did it affect the restart of the game" which is a dumb grey area to create. You had called a foul on Trossard and you can't say city were going to instantly pick up from where it started considering the city player stayed down on the ground. The rice one is even less of an effect on the game. The opposing player just wanted to kick Rice as hard as he could because he was near the ball knowing he was going to argue he was blocking him from taking the kick (mind you the PL decided right then that it's fair game to Red card kick someone if they've marginally touched the ball while it's dead)
Best fast food burger is A&W in Canada, nothing come close. Best Root beer served in an iced glass mug, no ice in it just pop/soda/soft drink whatever you call it lol. If you live in Canada you know !!!
Five Guys is absolutely spectacular, but personally I’ve never actually gotten a burger from one. Just a bacon cheese dog, loads of peanuts and fries, and a milkshake. If there’s a heaven, that’s it right there.
You can't complain about lack of consistency and then say you want refs to use "common sense" and "grey areas". The best path to consistent decisions is laws that don't have any subjectivity and that are routinely applied. The easiest example of this is players getting booked for taking their shirt off. Whatever you think of the law, it is consistently applied and never argued because it *always* happens. Refs need to go 100% strict on all these dumb things (dissent, kicking ball away, time-wasting, wrestling at corners, etc, etc) and 90% of it would stop within a month because players don't want to be suspended.
James complaining about referees consistently to Andy an Everton fan is funny as hell.
Love SBSD mostly for the waffle, so having that title has me hooked already. Best burger has bacon, BBQ sauce, cheddar and sour cream. Game changer.
I’m a City fan but let’s be honest, I’d say Trossard was booked for the foul, and the ref definitely smoked something heavy before the game.
nah official report says its for kicking the ball away, less than a second after he blew the whistle and attempting to pass it to martinelli
