Coincidence meets coincidence in LOOΠΔ to make each other’s fate.
HeeJin and HyunJin are real-life friends while HaSeul is like the mother of the team. YeoJin is the youngest sister of all. The team expanded its cells by family-like relationships. The only foreign member and an android ViVi gets introduced to become LOOΠΔ 1/3.
ODD EYE CIRCLE was born at the opposite end. With the story of three moons gathering to form a full circle, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry decide to stand at the frontlines to save the world, under their slogan ‘Girl Front.’
Born in Eden the utopian land, LOOΠΔ / yyxy chooses to embrace the forbidden and leaves to find their own selves. Yves, the leader of yyxy, had “faith” in being born again with the song ‘new’. Chuu keeps her “hopes" up with her yearning towards Yves. Go Won “loves” her unique self. Olivia Hye shows “anger” towards the taboos of Eden. When all of their emotions gather, a Neoanthropinae genes of yyxy manifests.
All of the units meet with YeoJin to add to the addition, resulting in their first EP [+ +] to announce the start of LOOΠΔ. At the ‘First full Moon of the LOOΠΔ new Year,’ LOOΠΔ starts their two-two-dimensional fusion with [X X].
The intro track ‘X X’ foreshadows that the album is completed at the opposite side of where [+ +] is.
The title track ‘Butterfly’ contains LOOΠΔ’s irreplaceable unique concepts. Mixing softness with dynamics, the track takes LOOΠΔ to another level with new beats and drops never heard in K-pop before, along with electronic sounds and melody.
Shot in Iceland, Paris, and Hong Kong, the teasers of [X X] started on first of January to unravel the stories behind the universe of LOOΠΔ. Under the slogan of ‘For All LOOΠΔs Around the World,’ it spread worldwide, to all LOOΠΔs of the world.
LOOΠΔ causes a Butterfly effect through music for the listeners to gain courage, find oneself, and raise one’s voice. Anyone under influence, is another LOOΠΔ.
LOOΠΔ’s visual director DIGIPEDI toured around 5 countries from 5 continents for LOOΠΔ’s Butterfly effects to capture the freedom and courage of girl worldwide in the music video of ‘Butterfly.’
‘Satellite’ starts calmly, but as music flows and orbits, the layers stack to double the listeners’ excitement. ‘Curiosity’ is a dream-pop number that draws you in with its mysterious aesthetics.
‘Colors’ has the LOOΠΔ universe dissolved into the track, desiring for each other’s colors and dye each other to become love portrayed with a drop beat. ‘Where you at’ was a previously prepared track along with ‘one way’ of yyxy in LOOΠΔ the Ballad album. It is a pop-ballad song with melodies so powerful that the members of LOOΠΔ memorized the whole song with just one listen.
Additionally, in the limited edition of LOOΠΔ [X X] CD’s, the very first hints to the next album are hidden in two bonus tracks, to arouse more curiosity and anticipation.
LOOΠΔ collides fate into destiny to create coincidence.

@@supernovaespa so basically, loona's company, BBC, doesn't even pay money to the members even since debut, also, they kicked chuu out of the group, cuz of "abusing power" which she actually spoke up abt the company, 9 members of loona filled a lawsuit to suspend their contracts, members vivi and hyunjin didn't parcipate. Only some of them won the lawsuit thing, and yeah idk what to say else (sorry if I got anything wrong)
Some of their so called "fans" are the problem too, sadly.
Honestly, Loona was kinda destined to fail, given how expensive of a project it is. If the project was promoted by a bigger company, then maybe it would've been successful, but the company just didn't have enough presence in the industry for an idea of this magnitude to be successful, financially.
That's just my opinion.

And don't forget Kakao M for neglecting our Sales until 3rd week. So conclusion, they don't have grudge with LOONA so much they prevent us win, they have grudge with this concept and any band promoting it.

this is arguably one of the most underrated kpop songs of all time.. this kinda vibe and sound were ahead of this time as a titled track.. sometimes i've been thinking new jeans kinda into this direction and perfected it with good catchy pop sounds but loona pioneered it.. is a bummer this song didn't hit when it released.. maybe they are not from one of the big companies..
If they were the kids of a big influencial company they would have been super popular from their debut. In kpop a group is big 1st and foremost thanks to the company said group is affiliated to.

In kpop the connection to the right backer or company makes you popular and brings you numbers on the spot. It is even stronger when your connection is one of the big four. Let's be honest a girls group like "Sonamoo" (you should check their videos to see how talented they are) never made it and people wouldn't pay attention to them cause they lacked the right connection. Sonamoo was a 3rd generation kpop group that debuted in 2014 and dissolved around 2020. Whenever I recommended their videos so people could see their potentials they refused to check on them even once. If they had the luck of a group like "Twice" that is under JYP or Blackpink that was under YG and labelmates of huge groups like Big Bang and 2ne1, nobody would have shunned their talents nor slept on them.
@@bapyongukgukguk2352 Well yea, if you're good enough you don't need big 4. That's the entire point. Also G-Idle and StayC are super popular. Kiss of Life also getting big now. All you need to do is make popular music and have good visuals to make it big in Kpop. The Big 4 will help you get started faster but it's not 100% necessary.
This will always remain as my top song of kpop if anyone ever ask.

Four years. Please continue to support the members during their legal actions against the company, and boycott as much as you can. LOONA, the members, have asked us to trust them, so I do. And I know that they want to be singing and performing and creating for their Orbits, so I believe they'll do everything they can to be on stage again, all twelve of them, one day.

@@wayababaya Oof, a lot happened. Chuu wasn't on the world tour due to scheduling conflicts, then the company kicked her out accusing her of gapjil. Then the kkt messages and contract details were leaked to Dispatch, and it turns out they were in 2nd-gen level slave contracts. Then most of the members filed lawsuits to get out of their contracts. Currently some are free and some are in limbo. Some moved over to Modhaus, the home of tripleS. It's been a wild, emotional ride. If you're curious and have some downtime, there's a really good megathread over on the LOONA subreddit, detailing the facts and the timeline. But in summary, their company is no good and all us fans are really worried and sad all the time these days.
@@wayababaya Among other things, the company never paid them all these years. Even more, the way their contract was setup (which was disproportionally worse than the majority of other idol contracts in the industry), they essentially got deeper into debt the longer they promote instead of making money. Their contracts required them to cover a large quantity of production costs on top of normal trainee debt which is unheard of in the idol industry. Half of the members were able to legally win their lawsuits and terminate their contracts. The others "lost" but are still in dispute with the company. This boycott (and members trying to leave the company) pretty much all kick-started when the company kicked out their most popular member, Chuu, and made up rumors and bullying allegations about Chuu to defend their actions.
2022 but still giving us goosebumps 😭😭. Totally love this song.

i might say that even though they're not kinda one of the popular kpop groups but they know what they're doing like most of their songs aren't mainstream at all to me that makes them really unique i honestly love how they still remain that way
like their company said, loona is for the arts and not just a kpop group for everyone. they want the minority represented and they're doing very well in showing it.

Not popular? they just started as a "whole" group not to long ago. Give them a 2-3 years before deciding if they are popular or not. Mainly you been seeing their sub units. I don't expect sub units to be popular on a grand scale.
Loona is insanely popular right now. Views don’t mean anything, because it’s mostly people streaming their faves’ songs. Don’t go off views to determine if a group if popular or not.
Loona are popular as in well known by most active kpop fans (especially fans who're active on stan twt). Like you gotta live under a rock to be on stan twt yet not know them.
But if we start talking about the size of their fanbase, then it's another story. The size of their fanbase is great for a rookie group, but small if compared to any actual popular group. But that's normal, 99% existing groups, whether they're from the big3 or not, take time to get a large, stable and loyal fanbase. I'm sure LOONA's fanbase will keep growing greatly if they keep it like this.

These girls touched so many hearts but received nothing for their work, constantly mistreated by their company. This was their peak. It never got any better than this while at BBC.
I saw people were saying that the girls screentime compared to the non Loona members is poor. I see those other girls as representing women on a global scale which is why they are the focus. In the time we see Loona I was still able to notice each member shine. This video though shows Loona as a whole and what they represent as a group. I feel they succeeded in their goal of displaying that.
I had a harder time picking each member out as they all had about the same look.

I realized after watching this music video that loona is a group that gives courage and hope to all girls in the world.
This music video was breath-taking and extremely different from your average k-pop. This music video is gathering all women (orbits) around the world, LOONA is empowering not only women, but all people with their discrete meaning in this Butterfly mv. They were able to create a revolutionary piece of art that is thriving with diversity and slowly but surely being known by all. Your work is absolutely mesmerizing LOONA, what a beautiful meaning of art.

Rewatched this many times and cried. God this song is beautiful, the melody and lyric. This is the best
coming back to this after the solid debut and comeback for loosemble, the solo debut of chuu, the debut of artms, and the teasers for yves debut...i can say for sure that 2024 was the year of loona even though they aren't allowed to use that name anymore. this song truly aged like fine wine and i remember listening to it back in 2019 as a baby orbit thinking that this group was going to change the industry. i guess its a little late but thank you LOONA for changing my life and i'm sorry to see you go so soon.
