I wish I would have been in a better state of mind at that time, but I'd just lost my adult son to gun violence & was in deep grief/PTSD at the time. I didn't vote that election, nor in 2016. I did vote for Biden in 2020 after finally rising above my trauma & am politically active now for not only democracy but for gun safety, ending gun violence & for police reform. Kamala/Walz give have brought back to me hope & joy again!
I never thought it would happen during my life, and gladly would love to have Kamala Harris as our next president. I'm almost 60 and am incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

I must say thank you to Don the con for demonstrating his ugly and nasty behavior in front of us. It has opened our eyes to the fact that our elections are one of the most important ways for us to participate in our government. To show us that the wrong person in our government can and will destroy us, if given a chance. We must demand rules be enforced and required documents be presented. Had he been disqualified for not providing tax returns, would have protectect us from all that is trump. Our government cannot bend the rules for anyone. I don't care who it is. An audit is no excuse for not providing docs. Completely unacceptable. Anyone who asks us to bend or waive rules and are running for any government office, is not ethical and should be an automatic rejection. And if it is later found that any and all participation in prior fraud or fraudulent info was provided to acquire office then immediate suspension must occur.

I am a foreign national from Germany with Croatian roots who travelled the world for my company and in 2021 they sent me to Austin, Texas. Tim Walz embodies what I as a foreigner would define as the „All-American“ guy. He is genuine, natural, lots of life experience, a neighbor who would come over to jump start your track or help you to search for a kid that went missing or a dog that run away. A man from modest means (like myself) who worked hard to raise a family and climb the social ladder that 50 years ago we would have been denied because we can from a blue collar background…

I just came from this rally and let me tell you I am glad I went. I am 74 and I went by myself. If I had to describe this rally in just one word, it would have to be "joyous". I haven't felt the pride of being an American for such a long time and certainly not at all during the Trump administration. I felt that finally, the world will again look at the United States as a beacon of hope and promise like we once were. People were literally dancing in their seats and it was contagious. Everywhere, people were actually looking out for one another. I got up to get a bottle of water and got lost getting back to my seat. The people in my row helped navigate me back because I was over by 2 aisles. We had a good laugh about it. The joy and concern for each other was evident everywhere; courtesy in the bathrooms waiting for a stall or a sink, and even when we were struggling to get out of the parking lot after. The music was uplifting and joyful before Harris and Walz came out. Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Usher, Dolly Parton, The Bee Gees and many others were represented. It was like going to a concert except that we, the audience, were the entertainers. It was unreal. Harris and Walz have brought back the joy and the laughter to this country. We sorely needed it.

I was at this one, too! It WAS a wonderful atmosphere, despite the hours we waited. The place wasn’t entirely packed, but it was nearly full, except for the very top of the nosebleed seating. Considering that the venue has a capacity of 19,522, it was a respectable turnout. People did show such consideration for each other, even during the massive parking lot exodus. And I felt it such a moment in time, and my life, to see what I believe will be (finally) America’s first woman President.
