To be 100% honest, one of the reasons I enjoy this channel is the introduction conversation. It’s a different way to review and I find it relaxing. Many people will say “get to the point” but I personally really enjoy hearing about the state of Japan, adding a bit of character to the review. Keep up the great work, be yourself and thanks for these reviews.
@@MarcoFantin1 Hey Marco! Great thought, I agree and it would add value to the camera's as they would be officially tested and ready for etsy. I can't help but feel it may slow down the rate at which these videos can be made as each would camera would have to be shot with, film developed and scanned and edited in! With a family and another job, this might be quite the undertaking. For sample images, I usually look elsewhere - reviews online etc. Hope you are well.
Can't thank you enough for these kind of videos! Information for these are scarce. I've just got this as my first medium format camera and was puzzled how to load the film properly.
At one time, I was very interested in TLRs, and this is one of the few I wanted but never found. In the US they are fairly rare, hard to find in great condition, and usually north of $500 if found. I actually found one I'd buy a few years ago, but by then I'd lost interest. There are two versions, the later one taking an interchangeable front lens component to extend the focal length to around 135mm. That unit with both lenses is extremely rare - never found one for sale. The lens is reported to be loosely based on the incredible Voigtlander Heliar five element.
I have several of their 35mm bodies, Konica really made quality cameras and lenses on par with the Nikons and Canons but never attained the notoriety they deserved IMO. The hexanon lenses are quite good.
I have been thinking about buying for some time, unfortunately in Europe this model is almost unavailable, unlike the YASHICA MAT-124, the availability of which is quite large. Do you think KONIFLEX is comparable, better or worse?
I have question about this camera. Can I modulate the viewing lens(upper lens)'s aperture? So that I can see how the photo actually look like in finder. Thank you for great video!
You cannot stop down the taking lens, it would make the image too dark to see on the focusing screen. Indeed, some TLR cameras use a viewing lens with a larger aperture than the taking lens to make the image on the focusing screen brighter.
Are you new to the channel? Because the short rant before the actual talk about the camera starts is like the staple of this channel haha. Despite that, the videos are quite good overall.

I agree. But on the other end having some sample photographs would also be a nice touch.

The Hexanon lenses are very highly regarded in in Japan, and the faster lenses command higher prices than those made by other makers.
I just bought one! So gorgeous!
Beautiful camera, great info on it.
Thanks for the shipping explanation!
