just pick and play it............ the melody is killing me softly dears.......very refined, distilled and organised like there is no any other music on this planet that can match this one !!!
Reminds me of Radio 2 with Ereck Knight, Brenda Moyo, Tilda Moyo, Gift Musipa, Joe Panganai, Simon Pashoma Same Sibanda, Nonceba Mkandla, Ezra Chisa Sibanda, Elias Mange Ndevele, Itai Godfrey Muchada. Musavengana Nyasha, Lazrus Tembo the Jazin Man etc
I remember I danced one of Pamela’s songs in 1998 and won ugx 50 from my uncles. I was 4 years by then and I was extremely happy 😊! I grew up from a village in northern Uganda but now I’m living in the United States 🇺🇸! Big up Pamela Nkutha!!!
Ntombi and Pamhela made my world, my the mighty lord, the really god, the "creator" be with them. whether in thier bodies, spirituality or souls. Their legacy continue....(Dj Barlos NAMIBIA)
Surely, you wouldn't dispute the fact that Africa has its own unique talent. The likes of Ntombi Marhumbini, Girlie, Slizzer, Charma Gal, ooups! the list is endless. That's why I contend that even if I am to be born again after death I would still opt to be born in Africa.
I like your comment details and the love for our exceptional but wrongly/negatively marketed continent. Its true we have a lot of talents which are for sure endemic to Africa, Pamela is an example. Mind you, Ntombi in my Sukuma language is something else!
Songs are there for generations .reminds me 1988 in high school/primary/iam listening this music in usa.feel like we should not forget our culture in africa
Though they don't attend my burial ceremony I'm still in love with Pamela's music And I will make sure they bury me with muranziwa album. It's the only one way of making God happy.
Thanks Realjoeman Maxy for bringing Pamela Nkutha to be heard again, and if i may ask for another favor, she has a tape she recorded by the name MASANGANA, in it there is a song that goes ''i will never love another, i will never love another; to me baby, only you. To me baby never never never let you go'' and so forth. Can you search and find it?
If I could turn back time Hold it there for some days The days will be full of sunshine I would be young With no worries and fears It would be the holidays-december We would bring out the stereo Charge the car battery at the local shopping center Ensure enough back-up Everready batteries are there Where was electricity then? Is those lush green villages In the slopes of Nandi hills Then we'd plug in Pamela Nkutha's tape Lighting up the vilage disco. We'd dance the night away The bic biro pen will come to use over and over As each requester made this request over and over Forcing the DJ to rewind To save the battery, we'd use the bic pen. And the girls will sneak into the dance You'd pick your choice A choice of their dark and innocent beauty Ask her for a dance The whole cottage would be pregnant with silence To see you getting rejected To their chagrin, she accepts You'd pull her to the center Of the mud walled grass thatched disco-theque. And the tilley lamp would be dimmed To allow you to dance in semi darkness You'd sing along There were translations of the songs to fit whatever "I want you , furaha nzima" You would hold her tighter, pressing her harder Feeling her ripe sharp breast piercing your chest Jolting your manhood to a competition You'd close your eyes Soakin in the moment in heaven Those were the days I will die to bring them back again
Is she still in music Who will give me feedback Oh my youth days are gone. Keep history of the same dear friends it will be required in future. Thank you Pamela.
The title of the song is Batahlayisiwa Hi Mane? which am told it actually means "who will take care of them?" I stand to be corrected in the translation though. The album is Sweet Mama. The song was all about orphans and she was asking that who will take care of them?? (I stand to be corrected too) I really don't speak the language Pamela uses here
Who is still enjoying this type of music, we are in 2021..
Long live Pamella.

Am one of the Ugandans
just pick and play it............ the melody is killing me softly dears.......very refined, distilled and organised like there is no any other music on this planet that can match this one !!!

Nyimbo imenikumbusha mbali
If I could turn back time
Hold it there for some days
The days will be full of sunshine
I would be young
With no worries and fears
It would be the holidays-december
We would bring out the stereo
Charge the car battery at the local shopping center
Ensure enough back-up Everready batteries are there
Where was electricity then?
Is those lush green villages
In the slopes of Nandi hills
Then we'd plug in Pamela Nkutha's tape
Lighting up the vilage disco.
We'd dance the night away
The bic biro pen will come to use over and over
As each requester made this request over and over
Forcing the DJ to rewind
To save the battery, we'd use the bic pen.
And the girls will sneak into the dance
You'd pick your choice
A choice of their dark and innocent beauty
Ask her for a dance
The whole cottage would be pregnant with silence
To see you getting rejected
To their chagrin, she accepts
You'd pull her to the center
Of the mud walled grass thatched disco-theque.
And the tilley lamp would be dimmed
To allow you to dance in semi darkness
You'd sing along
There were translations of the songs to fit whatever
"I want you , furaha nzima"
You would hold her tighter, pressing her harder
Feeling her ripe sharp breast piercing your chest
Jolting your manhood to a competition
You'd close your eyes
Soakin in the moment in heaven
Those were the days
I will die to bring them back again
😂😂😂😂😂😂
