    5:20 Theres a huge amount of missing context on the team walking off the pitch. It wasn't their main team on the field; they had fielded their U19 team, and the plan was to walk off regardless of the score. This action was a protest against a controversial scheduling decision.
    The context behind the protest is that Galatasaray typically underperforms in preseason. For instance, they recently lost 5-0 to Beşiktaş in the new Supercup. Despite Fenerbahçe being favorites, the Supercup match was unusually delayed to mid-season.
    The official reason given for the delay was fixture congestion due to teams participating in European qualifiers. However, after a second delay, the match was rescheduled between Fenerbahçe's two Europa Conference League quarter-final legs against Olympiakos. At this point, Galatasaray was already out of European competitions, giving them a significant rest advantage. Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe faced the risk of exhaustion and potentially compromising their European campaign.
    Fenerbahçe appealed to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for another postponement, citing the same reason of fixture congestion used previously. However, the TFF refused to delay the match again, which seemed to give Galatasaray an unfair advantage. In protest, Fenerbahçe fielded their U19 team and walked off the pitch, effectively stating, "If you want Galatasaray to win this badly, we can simply not play and let them be awarded the cup."

    • @bronzejourney5784
      @bronzejourney5784 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +127

      @@sweetjasminet34 Thats the thing, normally there IS no rivalry, because Galatashit is literally incapable of playing on the same level with Fenerbahçe without their constant match fixing, lobbying and bribing(these are all documented facts btw). This has been the case for over a good part of the past 20 years.

    • @kaantaskent3939
      @kaantaskent3939 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +30

      Your post is missing a lot of context. The Supercup got delayed because it was to be played in Saudi Arabia, which was Ali Koç's idea. And when that didn't happen and the rescheduling occurred, both Gala and Fener were in Europe and they both agreed to the time as that was the only possible moment. Gala got knocked out AFTER the schedule had been arranged. And it wasn't even a tight schedule, Fener had 3 full days before the Olympiakos game, which they nevertheless lost.

    • @GokberkDolay
      @GokberkDolay 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +65

      @@kaantaskent3939 The initial delay of the preseason Super Cup, was not caused by Ali Koç. The decision to delay the Super Cup to midseason and play it in Saudi Arabia was also not Ali Koç's idea. Ali Koç had no "idea" about it being played in Saudi Arabia, I don't know why you are lying about Ali Koç here. You mentioned that the decision was agreed upon, but Fenerbahçe did not consent to the rescheduling of the Saudi Super Cup. This schedule was determined by TFF without input from Fenerbahçe.

He won 3 titles, 1 with Başakşehir which was openly getting support from Erdoğan himself at that time and 2 times with Galatasaray. Also I should add that Galatasaray executives are, again, openly support Erdogan and his regime while Koç family are getting blamed for not supporting. Also Trabzonspor won the league (Fb was 2nd) at the end and you know who were supporting them literally from the stands? Erdoğan's ministers lmao. They also claimed in the elections that they made Trabzonspor champion. "If Trabzon people didn't vote for us, shame on them. " they said. What a shitshow, amirite?

    A great example of a conspiracy theory against Fenerbahçe happened in 2012 in championship match against Galatasaray in. Playing in home soil, Fenerbahçe needed to win but ended with 0-0 thus making Galatasaray the champion. After the match ended, nothing bad happened at first: Gala players celebrating and Fener fans either crying or applausing the players. But the police, which was mostly under Gülen control, attacked the fans for no reason and many people in the stadium, including children, got teargased, causing huge events inside and outside of the stadium. And remember, this was happening one year after Aziz Yıldırım got arrested for match fixing allegations (who was still in prison at that time).

    For anyone wondering, here's a summary of the conspiracy with the addings of the left unchecked by Tifo.
    - 2011 match-fixing scandal, accusing Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Trabzonspor, big 3 of the 4 leaving Galatasaray, all having their respective trials which in time only focuses on Fenerbahce, as stated in the video. To note, in 2011, Galatasaray finished 13th, was in shambles, Fenerbahce was so dominant, it was 3rd title in 4 year, the squad was x2 valuable than Galatasaray. The Gulenist Prosecutor who accused Fenerbahce of match-fixing was none other than Zekeriya OZ, who is also a Galatasaray congressment with the licence number of 15286.
    -2015: team bus shot just when it was crossing a viaduct. The bullets were all on the driver's side, driver had a scratch. The plan was obviously shoot the driver dead so bus would fell of the viaduct to assassinate all fenerbahçe players. The conspiracy part is: When fenerbahce asked league to be suspended considering the effects of near-death experience this would have upon all team, federation said "If Fenerbahce doesnt come to the pitch, they would face the consequences"
    Note that, if this was just another angry fan, or some terrorist organization, government would've discovered the perpetrators. But somehow, they are still unknown...
    -2019 season, Fenerbahce in title race with Trabzonspor with only 1 points behind in 19th week where they face each other. From this point onward, for 7 matches Fenerbahce faced severe Referee mistakes, being awarded 3 red cards in those 7. While achieving 37 points in 18 week, in those 7, Fenerbahce only achieved 3 points. When Fenerbahce was close to beat his title rival somethings changed in the refereeing side, and fenerbahce got 3 points in 7 matches miraculously.
    -2022 season, Fenerbahce was ahead 5 points of his Rival Galatasaray, when they faced Trabzonspor(yeah again, it starts with them), Fenerbahce was again awarded an uncalled Red card and went on to lose the match, the next match against Giresunspor Fenerbahce awarded another red card. Both reds considered to be scandalous by all football authorities country-wide. Losing both matches let Galatasaray get ahead, after that Trabzonspor Fenerbahce match, Galatasaray got 14 consecutive wins, many disputed for major refereeing mistakes in favour of Galatasaray. To give an example, in a sivasspor away match, Sivasspors goal that were to put them front was disallowed because VAR referee though it was "offside-ish", checked for almost whole 5 mins only to disallow the goal for an offside which in refereeing notes considered to be not offside later on. That referee got suspended big time, but what's done is done. Which is also the event that added the term offside-ish into turkish football literature. To add, another referee quit his job in this season, releasing an official statement, stating he got bad notes, and suspended for making decisions in favour of Fenerbahce, that he was under so much pressure and he couldnt take it anymore.
    -2023 season, the most dirty of all. Several major refereeing scandals in favour of Galatasaray, and against Fenerbahce. I know these refeering mistakes seem very abstract when you dont know the context, and subjective, that im biased and these were not really mistakes at all but feel free to watch Galatasaray vs. Antalyaspor to get a feeling of what im talking about. The Referee Consultant of Turkish Football Federation, Hugh Dallas, had conferance with Refeeres and asked about this match, on why the referee gave penalty in favour of Galatasaray in certain position. Referee admitted it was a cheap penalty to give, that it was a huge mistake on his part. But again, whats done is done. There are many matches in this season where major refeering mistakes(Suspiciously almost all in favour of Galatasaray) happened. But aside all those, one incident stand out as well, the Trabzonspor match(Again and again...) where Fenerbahce players left to lynch by mob by public authorities. You see, stadiums normally have police protection, but somehow in this match, they decided they didnt need a huge police support and some Fenerbahce players faced even death considering two of the fans had sharp objects like knives... Another big point to note, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray had 13.6 and 13.8 fouls per match respectively. Almost same number of fauls. But Galatasaray got awarded with 64 yellow and 1 red(Lowest number of cards given amongst whole teams), while fenerbahce got 84 yellow and 4 red(5th most number of cards given out of 20 teams). This might have been coincidance, but given the huge difference in numbers, and the quality of fouls and cards given, it's hard to believe so. Another point, Fenerbahce had a legendary squad this season, almost beating the Conferance cup winner olympiacos but losing in penalties in quarter final, they acheieved 99 points in league. BUT, Galatasaray's "more-legendary" team got 102 points. Interestingly though, they got knoced out from UCL groups by copenhagen, and europa league by 4-2 loss against Sparta Praha. While also losing to fenerbahce 1-0 in their home turf, with 1 man up for 80 mins. Another scandalous red card against Fenerbahce, but this time didnt affect the score. Legandary Galatasaray team went on to have a historical defeat against against Besiktas 5-0, 2 days ago, same team, vs. almost same Besiktas team with 2 addons that finished season 50 points behind them. Somethings dont add up on all these, but you figure.
    To add something to Riyadh crisis, Turkish Football Federation President blamed Fenerbahce president Ali KOC for this incident, while it was their fault not to communicate the conditions Saudis proposed to teams, considering it was not just Fenerbahce who didnt come up to pitch, but Galatasaray also. But somehow, TFF's (bylocked)President went to Erdogan to say it was all Ali KOC...
    Believe me this is a very very shallow summary of whats going on here. From 2011 onward, referee bias against Fenerbahce is real. And to add couple of notes to understand the situation in Turkey: Galatasaray's legendary players Hakan Sukur, Arif Erdem are famous Gulenists, having a video of them with the head of Gulenists, Fetullah Gulen, where they talk about how they can lift Galatasaray up, and Fetullah Gulen says "With our prayers and our protection, we must lift Galatasaray up" years later, Gulenist match-fixing conspiracy happens when Galatasaray was at its low and Fenerbahce at its best. From that point onward Fenerbahce is always bashed when they are close to getting title.
    Another note on refeering mistakes, the TFF President for years where Fenerbahce got this behaviours was a guy who used Gulenists' private communication app called bylock. He had this program in both of his phones, but denied any involvement with them, claiming it was his assistant who installed the programs. He somehow not got into trial at all, instead awarded with presidency just like all other Gulenists where they got to big places in government.
    And on Mourinho move, we have a famous saying amongst Fenerbahce fans for the last decade, "Even Mou wouldnt have made it". Which most of us certainly believe in this dirty league. But mourinho moves purpose, i think, is, that he is a big mouther, and when they start doing what they have done to previous coaches, the unfairness and the bashing, he will advertise all the wrongdoings throughout the world, the conspiracy wouldnt be a local legend but a worldwide talking point after mourinho got faced with all these dirtiness. He is simply a wild card, a bold move from Ali KOC to see if the shadowy organization would dare to keep doing what they've beeing doing in the threat of Mou's brand expose it all to the world.
    So in summary, Galatasaray is a club who HAD close ties to terrorists Organization. They got lifted up at many of their lows, while Fenerbahce got bashed at their peaks. To note, Gulenists are not fully removed of authority in goverment, even last month operations resulted with many Gulenists arresments. So Gulenists are still alive, and Fenerbahce is still suffering from this.
    It's a bit of a wall of text, hard to read probably. But it's a small insight to understand what the conspiracy is, and at very least, how a Fenerbahce fan sees things even if you think all of this is a bs. Cheers to all who managed to read through all!

    Additionally, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) decided not to count championships before 1959. This decision significantly disadvantages Fenerbahçe, which has 9 championships before 1959, while Galatasaray has only 1. This would make Fenerbahçe's total 28 and Galatasaray's 25, giving Fenerbahçe a substantial financial advantage. The number of championships determines the share of prize money, sponsorships, and viewership revenue. By excluding pre-1959 championships, the totals are now Fenerbahçe 19 and Galatasaray 24, giving Galatasaray the advantage.
    The TFF's arguments for this decision are:
    1. The league's name changed from republican League to Turkish 1st League in 1959.
    2. The TFF joined UEFA.
    3. Before 1959, most clubs were from Istanbul, making it more regional than national.
    However, this reasoning is flawed because:
    1. The league's name changed again in the 80s to Turkish Super League and recently to Trendyol Super League. They didn't restart counting then, so why in 1959?
    2. Most countries count championships from before their affiliation with UEFA or even FIFA. Some even recognize titles from before their national football associations existed, like England.
    3. Before 1959, some seasons had more clubs from different cities than now. Today, most Super Lig clubs are from Istanbul, Ankara, or Izmir.

      @@turc9808 in the past travelling wasn't so easy. Since turkey is a very big country, playing a match in a different city every week simply wasn't possible. In a when aviation wasn't mainstream, traveling by bus would take days to reach the destination. So for logistical reasons football was divided in regions. The regional champions then competed with each other, and the winner was crowned national champion. Turkey is no exception, this was normal in most countries in the early years of football. This doesn't mean there is no national champion, nor that the championship is devaluated. In england, where football is born, they even count the championships before the national football federation was founded. These were often regional leagues. Most teams weren't even football clubs, but universities. Those universities even introduced some football rules we even have today, like the offside rule. Devaluating the contributions of early football is wrong! The should be recognition for all football players and their achievements, even if it's really old.

    • @turc9808
      @turc9808 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kubilaytuncer3723 wrong again, none of the so called "national championships" were participated by all or even most of the regional champions. For example many izmir and black sea teams who were among the best at the time could not participate in the tournaments Fenerbahçe claims to have won. You cannot call yourself a national champion if you are not competing against the top teams in the nation. Call yourself a city champion if you wish. England is a terrible example because before premier league they had first division which were national leagues contested by the top teams, naming it premier league was nothing but rebranding, similar to Turkey moving from 1. Lig to super lig in 2000s.
      I know Fenerbahçe is jealous of Galatasaray's recent success and desperate to match it but this is not the way to do it, there is a reason Fenerbahçe has not brought up this issue until Galatasaray passed them in number of titles. Manage your team better, titles might come.

And you will learn even more if you dig what the previous president of the Turkish Football Association did against Fenerbahçe
    The system is crooked and should be investigated by FIFA and UEFA. They should do it without any direct political influence from Turkey.
    If you want to understand if all these are true or not, simply look at the sales of all the clubs in the league. Only Fenerbahçe managed to sell players who will still be successful after leaving the Super Lig. Players sold by other teams aren't able to perform well outside of Turkey.

    It's all because where Fenerbahçe is located in Turkey (Kadıköy) district in İstanbul, is the most secular population. People in the area are not religious nor supporters of Erdoğan. So it's not just FETÖ but Erdoğan's party (AKP) who has been against Fenerbahçe during the last 20 years. Fenerbahçe has 35 million fans in the country, in which most are Atatürk supporters and supporters of modern Turkey with secular traditions. Turkish Football Federation in Turkey formed in 1923 and in 1924 the first national league started. Gūlenist (FETÖ) supporters who were leading the football federation in 2000 who were also Galatasaray board members changed the leagues history (format) where they decided to wipe the league history from 1924 to 1959. They done this because they said "We should only count the "Super League titles" and not the previous league titles which was played prior to the super league. This is like the english FA saying we will only count the premier league titles and achievements and not record previous years. Why did they do that, because Fenerbahçe was by far the most sucessful club and they wanted to equal out the achievements to gather a larger Galatasaray fan base. Why? Because they were in control of Galatasaray and were scared that Fenerbahçe's secular fan base will have influence in government elections. They were scared that Fenerbahçe will finish them off. Well guess what happened in 2011. They tried finishing off Fenerbahçe by accusing them of match fixing. With zero evidence they jailed the Fenerbahçe president and board members. More than 2 million fans went onto the streets of İstanbul and protested. They could not control the people and decided to withdraw their corrupt politics. And guess what happened after? They blamed it all on FETÖ organisation, their own allies. Fenerbahçe fans were the first people in the country to stand up against FETÖ. Now with every corrupt politics they are involved in, they quickly blame FETÖ. Fenerbahçe is not just a football clubz but a culture. They are by far biggest sports club (not just football) in the country with the most league titles even today. They send the most athletes to the olympics every term. I am honored to be a Fenerbahçe fan. I hope this teaches the foreign football fans some true facts about Turkey and Football.

And while these events were happening, the team that benefited the most from these events was Galatasaray, which made us enemies with every team and made us bad with the state, but it's okay for them, but let me give you an interesting statistic, for the last 6 seasons, we saw 1 red card every year in the matches we played with Trabzon, this year Galatasaray saw 3 red cards in 14 matches in Europe. In our league 1 red cards were seen in 38 matches while in our league only 1 red card was seen and it was given at the end of 90+4 matches, unfortunately the referees and the federation see us not as a Turkish team but as a Greek or foreign team, as if we are not the team of this land.

    As a fenerbahçe fan here, i am genuinely thanking you for this video. When i try to explain the story to my foreign friends, they naturally and rightfully get so confused because footbal is just football in their countries. After all the story is also quite intricate too. You put it so simply and objectively. Thanks once again. I am sending them this video by saying "you remember when i told about why we seem to not be champions for this long?" This will do it. Shame on those who doesn't take off their nasty hands from such a great club.
    As a fan, (altho nobody asked) i personally think that we shd not even care the league anymore. Shall we not play? No but we can think of it as a training ground. As Fenerbahçe, we shd make people ask "why does the team with yellow and red win the league trophy but scouts of big clubs run after the talents in Fenerbahçe all the time?" Sometimes you convey your concern with softpower. The achievements and the players sold to the big clubs with delicious transfer fees shall tell the whole story. Lately we are doing this by selling our good players and bringing new ones systematically. However, maybe we should put our resources in more fair grounds like European Organizations

    Federation refused to postpone the date for the Supercup which was between the two legs of the European Conference Cup quarter final. It was totally doable on a different date.
    Fenerbahçe decided to protest by fielding U19 team and withdraw them after a minute regardless of the opponent scoring.
    Why didn't they just not show up? You may ask. It would have brought many legal obligations and penalties, so this was the least 'expensive' way.
    The initial date for the match was actually around this time last year. It was postponed because Galatasaray wasn't ready, specifically Icardi wasn't ready. They did this to avoid exactly what happened to Galatasaray few days ago when Supercup was played on time. A historic defeat.

    Small correction or rather addition: the players haven't really walked off the pitch because of a goal. The federation refused to postpone the match when fener had a europe match. The president said if they don't postpone it which they had done for Galatasaray previously, then we will not play. The u19 team went onto the pitch just after they already had a match. Gs scored and fb u19 went off the pitch.

Those were U-19 players on the pitch and they were going to leave the pitch as soon as the ball went out, galatasaray players scored a goal despite playing against a u-19 team who already played a game that day and traveled without even showering first with a plane ride for 2 hours and came to the stadium directly. sad scenes really, disgraceful!

      It's a good article, but there is missing information in it. Let me complete. Before kick-off, Galatasaray player Kerem Aktürkoğlu told the Fenerbahçe U19 team captain to relax, not to put pressure to win the ball, and that they would throw the ball into the throw-in for the Fenerbahçe U19 team to leave the field. But that was not the case, Galatasaray started to attack by playing with the ball at the kick-off, deceived the tired U19 children who came to the match to protest, and on top of that, they shamelessly celebrated madly on the field.

    • @Haron06
      @Haron06 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      So listen to me mate. I wasn't even born when Gülen had an important part in our country and after making some research I found out that most part of the population was relevant with him and his "organization" The main reason that Fenerbahçe fans call Galatasaray "Gülen's Team" is our 2 old players (Hakan Şükür and Arif Erdem) who played for the team back in 2000 when we beat Arsenal to win Europa League and beat Real Madrid to win the Super Cup. Those were the most important achievents in Turkish Football history. Years later, everyone (every rival team) learned that Hakan and Arif were also relevant with FETÖ (Gülen's organization) and started to insult Galatasaray about that. But the main problem is Galatasaray is not the only team who had players relevant with Gülen back in time. Fener also had players like Enes Kanter, Bekir İrtegün, Uğur Boral. Additionally, Fener's current president Ali Koç is a member of Koç family. They are one of the richest and most famous families in Turkey. In 2011, when "Turkish Olimpics" (an event which was organizing by FETÖ) took place in our current stadium, Koç Holding Company was a sponsor of it. I am not denying the fact that Galatasaray was relevant with FETÖ back in time but most of the population was too. Fenerbahçe fans are always creating imaginary enemies since I was little and I think it is just about success. Their last league title was 9 years ago and before that they were really successful but now Galatasaray has 24 league titles while they have 19. I really don't want to bore you but they also say they have actually 28 titles and Turkish Football Federation doesn't count their titles before 1959. They are right but there is a reason why Federation doesnt count the titles. Before 1959 there wasn't a professional competition and Turkey didn't have single champion at the end of the seasons. Every city had their own leagues and Fener wants the Istanbul title but winning before 1959 means you are the best team in Istanbul, not Turkey. So they can't count as a Turkish League title. Even Fenerbahçe was accepting this truth until 9 years ago: Before 2014-2015 season both Gala and Fener had 19 titles and they wanted to win their 20th and gain the 4th star (Turkish Football Federation gives one star for 5 titles to clubs) and you know what happened, Fenerbahçe's official twitter account shared a tweet that says 4th star loading before season starts. Where were those titles before 1959 back in time? That tweet was deleted by their admin but you can find it if you search. I can really say lot more but I am not even sure you will read this far :) hope this would help

    Gulen is a big gala supporter as well. Gala has been constantly pushed by government in recent years even after Gulen fell from power in 2016. On the other hand Fener has always been restrained. If you ask why the government is against Fener, it's about their islamist view which corrupted Turkey as well as the football in recent years. They do not like Fener because of the club`s secularist ideology and members and they of couse have a big influence on the league. UEFA should surely investigate govenment's influence on football in Turkey. Turkey will get rid of that islamist politicians and the real champion of Turkey will be back sooner or later. Here's the reality. Looking at the last 20 years, Fenerbahce is propably the most mismanaged team in the world. The influx of rich club presidents has led to some of the most unnecessary transfers you'll ever see. They have always had one goal in mind, which is to be better than Galatasaray. That in itself has always created a toxic atmosphere around the club because it's not in their control whether Gala is doing well or not. Every single season you can watch Fenerbahce falling apart around March/April, especially if Gala is doing well. It's a crazy phenomenon and it's been like that for a very long time now. They are very, very bad under pressure, and I think the fans as well as the club president are to blame for it. His political aspirations won't help the club either. In the 90s the turkish fa president haluk Ulusoy (a galatasaray board member) made a new mandate saying non of the championships before 59 would be recognised. But still gave besiktas 2 of their championships before 59. Which still doesnt make sense. I want to add a couple of things: Ali Koç (current president) used to work as a board member during Aziz Yıldırım's (previous president) term, and they knew and worked with each other for a long time. Aziz Yıldırım did run Fenerbahçe for 20 years. He was also supposedly involved in the transfer of Mourinho, he made an offer right before Ali Koç, as a presidential candidate.
    Koç's family is the wealthiest in Türkiye.
    The Super Cup Final was canceled in Saudi because they did not allow posters of Atatürk (the founder of Türkiye), not the anthem.
    Fenerbahçe was already considering withdrawing from the league at the time, and they showed up to the replay match with their U-19 team as a protest, they had already announced that they would withdraw from the game beforehand, conceding a goal was not the reason.
    The shooting of the team bus was obviously done by the Trabzonspor fans. As you said in the earlier part of the video, they hate Fenerbahçe after that 2011 season.
    edit: Galatasaray's current manager Okan Buruk has been known as a firm follower of FETO. lol
    Finally, writing this comment made me realize once again, what a mess we are dealing with. Btw, I am not even a Fenerbahçe fan, so I might be wrong on some of the stuff I said. I would appreciate it if the ones who know better also share their take. :)

    I can't blame them for being paranoid, I mean their players were punished for defending themselves.

    Been a fan of this channel for a few months. Also being a Fenerbahçe fan in the meantime, this video is perfect for my friends here in the UK, being interested in the whole ordeal but unable to keep track because of how many things have gone down. Understandable that you couldn't put everything relating to this topic in a TH-cam video (it would be over 12 hours long if you did that), but nonetheless I thank you for making this video to clear up any people who are interested but confused.

    not conspiracy theories but the realities of the Turkish football. Fenerbahce is the symbol of secular Turkey which this current government can't stand. What they don't anticipate is these challenges make the club stronger in the long-term.

    This kinda of reminds me of Maradona joining Napoli and the controversy behind it but also this is a perfect environment for Jose

    As a person who watches every Fenerbahce and Galatasaray match the accusations by Ali Koc and the Fenerbahce club is all bs. They have been losing the title every season because they are just not good enough, not because a higher power is not letting them.

      Fener fans are absolute idiots, not even worth arguing with them.

      No no no, youre absolutely wrong. They drew against Sivasspor and Konyaspor costing them the title because of Galatasaray conspiracy. These poor little babies dont deserve any of this 😢
