Trump had the lowest percentage of immigrants deported out of the two. He literally flooded the system for years to come because he was too aggressive without being realistic with how much the system could handle. The President’s most important job is to select their cabinet and other leaders that will run things day-to-day…and trust them to do that (until something breaks that trust), listen to and understand the reports they provide, and make decisions the team can’t make when needed.
Barring emergencies, setting the tone of the nation, communicating to the American people, and international relationships and diplomacy become the big items, so optimism, truth and nuance, and firm but cooperative direction-setting are important.
So, easy choice to avoid the divider, the liar, and the bully.
