Holiday detecting - happy times.

I'm still in holiday mode, but all good things come to an end.
I have been eyeing up several places on the beach where loads of tourists are sitting - my plan is to go down early next Saturday before the crowds arrive.
Anyway a few finds this video, still nice and easy with barely any digging required.

20 eurocents with Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. But the euro was introduced in 2002, so I wasn't aware some were minted and dated before that! Weird! I stand corrected I just checked my wallet and I do have a French 5 euro cents coin dated 1999! The lion one is from Finland, you hardly ever see Finnish coins!

Thank you so much for the information, it's very interesting. Although how both came to be on Waihi beach is very strange - I hardly ever find any European coins..
