- I decided to do vocal showcase of The Braxton's vocals on their new Christmas album. This is not the typical vocal range video. First of all I am floored at the dynamic harmonies on this album. Just flawless!
Toni's deep, sultry tone never ceases to lull my ears into pure bliss. Tamar's bright, commanding voice always strikes a chord in my heart. Trina's light, innocent voice is just delightful to hear. Towanda's clarity and smooth tone is the glue that holds their voices together. The sincerity in Traci's voice make me happily sigh. Michael's gorgeous, rich voice is buttery smooth and simply charming.

All of the girls can sing. Tamar upper belts are so clear. And Toni's musicianship and artistry really shines on this project

+Angelfully 2 as I seen from the show she just stormed out the studio smh but this still turned out pretty well seeing how rushed this was I hope we get a true Braxton album in the near future with all the girls participation and real showcase of their harmonies and Traci & Tamar can both equally participate
+Angelfully 2 I think it have to do with Tamar and Traci having contacts with other labels when this project was done on def jam. Traci promoted this album daily on twitter, remember this is business, it more than just sisters wanting to do an album.

I'm just realizing that their voices are exactly like their personalities.
Their brother was on the album too. I just want to see the joyful reaction of Mama Evelyn's face when they finally finished the album together after so many years of pushing it off. Their vocals are so beautiful together what a blessing of a gift they have indeed.

I think it is so freaking amazing how each of the sisters have the ability to mimic older sister Toni's vocal nuances/idiosyncrasies in each of their different octaves. It must be the Braxton gene!

Glad that Towanda's voice was finally showcased. She has a great voice. Even more impressed with Michael singing on CD. He reminds me of a young Nat King Cole and for anyone that does not know Nat King Cole, He's Natalie Cole's father. Glad that Traci did get to singing lead, BUT I want more from Traci. She did a great job on her album and she's the underdog in this family and we all know the underdog always come out on top!

+rch1jr Traci doesn't sound much like Toni to me. Also Traci didn't sing much on this album so what you're thinking is Traci is probably Toni. If you don't know Toni's voice, you are probably not a fan. I always know Toni's voice.

OMG, this is one amazing CD, I know that their mother Mrs. Eveline is a very proud mom to say the least. Mrs Eveline has been waiting a long time for her children to do some music together. All of her children are so blessed with amazing voices and talent. Each one have distinctions in their sounds, a tremendous range, all are beautiful young ladies. Mrs. Eveline has done a wonderful job of raising, teaching and loving them so much and it shows. Now we get the opportunity to enjoy their music and talent. I bought several of the CD's to give to my family, an early Christmas present/

I love the album. They did great. They, not surprisingly, have amazing harmonies. I thought Towanda was amazing. She is my favorite on the album (besides Toni of course). She always does just enough. Her tone is pleasant. Toni is Toni... she colors everything with her sound. It was also special to hear the brother sing too. I did think Traci and Tamar were going back and forth on Mary Did You Know! They all sound similar at some points. Wonderful piece of art. I love the way you did the video.
I liked the album. I love Toni, God knows I do, but I would of preferred less Toni and more group singing like how they would on "Get Away Jordan" "Mary Don't You Weep."

This is Toni's project so you can't hear less of her. At the end of the day it's about business. I feel like if the sisters did not do this project we would not ever get an album. I am just happy Ms E finally get her wish
but this is Toni album she just invited her sisters to sing Tamar has her own album and Traci has her why can't Toni enjoy something of her own

+NeubionQueen It may not matter to you whose project it is, but it matter to Toni's label, at the end of the day its all about business. Toni's project and she ask her sisters to sing on it because she knows her mother wanted this for years. IMO its a great album and you also hear a lot of Trina and Towanda. They are all Braxton, therefore Braxton Family album it does not matter if they were on it for 10 second. BTW support the other sisters they all got their own projects. Tamar, Traci, the braxton. Its all about business and contracts!

I'm surprised Michael never wanted a solo deal. Trina & Traci sound good. I like Trina's light voice & Traci has a Toni voice but not as heavy. Of course I like Toni doing her thang as well.

When I saw them recording it on their show, Trina towanda and Toni did most of the singing. Traci stormed out of every session (I think she felt vocally insecure) and tamar was recording her solo album.

Towanda and Trina are my favorite vocal tones. I think I would like Tamar voice if she had better Breath support and a little more control.

I swear christmas is coming and I was just thinking I was like why isn't anybody potting any christmas albums out like usually I would at least by 3 christmas albums every year and I would be preparing for them and this year I didn't know who to by from because I didn't hear of any christmas albums but thank god for this album I'll be getting my life to it

They gonna need to indicate who is singing what cause I've been listening to the album trying to figure it out like a puzzle! I think all of them were on Mary did you know, which is one of my favs! Love it!
I think Trina did a lot of the high harmonies in the songs because Toni, Towanda and Trina did a lot of the background vocals. For example on this Christmas she has an F#5 belt in the beginning if I’m not mistaken and also a couple more high notes in the chorus. They sound like Tamar as well but I think Trina did that intentionally or maybe they both did the high harmonies.
They do often sound a like so..
Maybe or even towanda cause towanda has a range similar to Trina’s but has a great bottom register but most likely Trina did

No towanda only on that live performance on the real but in track ots tamar. She just got surgery to relieve pressure in her lung so shedid not the high notes
+Quintavious Johnson They rearranged the song on the real because Tamar is still getting over being sick and can't hit the high notes right now. They had the backing track playing on Tamar's parts and Towanda was just lipping the really high parts that Tamar sings; you really heard the backing track.
@Quintavious Johnson... it was Towanda that like you said. And not Tamar like everybody would like to believe! Im quite sure that Towanda can sing in a falsetto. Toni can do it and she sings in the lowest register of them all.
