probably mentioned before in the comments (haven't look) but in England we don't drive on the right, like you say in the coldborough farms section, we drive on the LEFT.
Really liked Chellington Farm from the looks of it. Liked the functioning gates, hills and all the trees and shrubs in appropriate places. The muddy spots with puddles seem to liven it up as well. I'm also a big fan of the trees lining the horizon.
Yeah that was one of the reasons I liked chellington.
just found out coldborough park farm is based on a farm about 5 miles from my house, i didnt realise some were based on actual farms, thats awesome.

aaaaah - Bantikow. The all time classic.
Probably for FS 15 my No. 2 after the juggernaut that is Baldeykino.
Overal when it comes to FS maps it would be 1) Westerrade 2) Baldeykino 3) Bantikow :)

Great video. It's nice to see the options that are out there. My all time favorite is Pleasant Valley. I know it is extremely large, but there is much variation that it's hard to get bored.
I've played your top five and would agree with you with the exception of Pleasant Valley Keep up the great job!! Always enjoyable and informative.
+Grandpa's Gaming Yeah Pleasant Valley is one I haven't played on much to be honest.
+Grandpa's Gaming I love PV, but it's just so overwhelming for a single player. One thing that PV has, that 98% of the maps are missing, is excellent documentation. PV shows just how far you can go with the Giants Engine (fishing boats? Build the dock first!). I hope they come out with a smaller SP map.

+Grandpa's Gaming Is that the one with the cranberry bog and rice paddy? You dump sand to create a dam, water fills up, and cranberries/rice grow. Those guys are really good.

Good choices there Iain. I'm currently playing Chellington Extended with the soil mod which I can highly recommend; just a shame it's not multifruit but then you can't have everything :)

Do you know if they fixed the Course Play issue in Colborough farm? I stopped playing this map just because of this...Courseplay IA were getting crazy and hitted EVERYTHING...thanks

Good solid list. No complaints. I also liked Old Family Farm and Two Rivers when they came out, but they're in need of updates to take advantage of the new stuff that's been added (beef cows, chickens, pigs, etc.). Recently started looking at Belgiuque Profonde and AgroValle.
Yeah I hear two Rivers is an awesome one too.
I just have had a crazy amount of time to explore other maps.
+Iain Robson Take a look at AgroValle, if you like fruit trees. They start you off with a ton of orchards, and also provide an Olive Tree area with a special machine that grabs the tree and shakes the olives into the bucket. downside is that it is EXTREMELY tight and everything is collidable.

This very specific but does anyone know of a map that has: equal farming and logging areas, muddy trails to atv and truck through, a highway route with shops a gas station and places I can sell stuff, swell as lots of open space?

Thanks for the list, good to see your thoughts. I've recently been watching Species7, as he has a good list of map reviews, however it seems there are A LOT of Eastern Euro/Germanic maps around!
I would love to do bantikow, but am really not a fan of owning all fields from the start... wish there was a way around this...

Yeah. Originally they didn't have any other way to deal with the ownership issues you can run into
Two Rivers is a fave of mine. Well-scuplted landscape with a lot of interesting things to see. Multifruit map with improved textures for standard crops, soilmod optional.

Since most of the fields are curvy/not straight, will the harvester know to turn a little bit when harvesting that field or will it just keep going straight and turn around and keep going up and down the field? If that makes any sense to you.
+Kyle Bentzinger (Troll Industries Owner) with courseplay it knows the field outline. With a hired worker it make make some mistakes

Iain Robson yeah i agree I think giants really need to up there map making skills!! they should make one Large map and one small but completely different styles so one german maybe and another English or somewhere in the far east!
Plus one for chellington extended that's amazing, Melbury could be amazing but to many errors and bugs, bantikow I've not played, I played bantikow to death on fs13

Hey Iain, thought I would mention a new map that David Oldfield mentioned in a youtube video of his. It's called Brabourne Lees and if you look on his channel you'll find a video he posted of a quick run through of the map and a link to download. I took a look at it and it's a nice English style map. I'm not a big fan of collidable hedges so the roads are a bit tight but otherwise pretty nice map.
If memory serves, that is the one that James R Powell was working on.

Hi Ian, as you liked Coldborough Farm UK by Bulletbill83 you ought to check out version 2 and also sample videos of his West Coast map now on his channel. It will give you the hills you want and incredible detail. Looking forward to your review of this once it is released. You do pick some good maps.

My favourite thing about the States map is the drifts you can do in the dirt at the spawn in the PiQup XD

When i first started playing on it i was driving round and noticed it :)
My favorite was definitely the states it kept me very interactive with the map with how the big the fields are and how much time you have to put in to it to progress makes it so fun.
Yeah it's definitely one where you really had to work it to get everything out of the map.
Old Ridge ......I seem to just end up there.....seems like home! But you did highlight some good ones though!

Manchester map is maybe the most beautiful map . I like Westbridge forest too, and Sosnovka map. English maps requires great maneuvaring abilities :D very narrow roads and gates :) One fun tip for you ... If you haven't tried yet, take JCB skidsteer (on wheels, not on tracks) , hook a stomp crusher , and lover the crusher to lift the front wheels of the ground slightly , turn crusher on . Disengage any drive control differential options, like default , push the pedal to the metal and little skidsteer will go 40 km/h and you can have fun drifting with it :D Greetings ...

I play this game as much realistic as I can, and I'm trying to organize my jobs so I have one field daily to do-completely prepare and sow, and in the midtime I do some loging and silage producing, and then from time to time , a little time gap appears and then I'm "on air" with my "let's try this or that" ... My real life job allows me to play whole day if I want ... I'm a musician ,playing some blues in clubs , so real life work at night, farm working at day ... I should think about some time for sleeping :D

I wonder how to load foreign maps. Due my love for a graphic novel "Everlasting Summer" & a young girl in 1982- Samantha Smith, I not only am trying to learn Russian but their culture. I found a couple of Russian maps, but they do not load (stuck in loading). I was wondering if I have to set a language pack or the like. I am using Windows 10 (and cannot wait for the August 2 upgrade). I emailed the guys at Giant, but either they cannot help me, or did not understand my issues. So, I thought to ask you. How do I load and run a foreign map on Farming Simulator 15?
+Brandon Bowers usually that is something like a mod conflict. Try only the map in the mods folder

I add all mods and maps in that mod folder. If they are suppose to work, then those could be due to bad scripts on the creator's part. One that I have tried is Russia Real Map v1.2: www.modland.net/farming-simulator-2015/maps/real-russia-map-v-1.2.html. Either bad scripting or it does take a while to load, but trick it, if the map file is in place, I cannot log the ones that due load and work. If you know some good Russian maps or in that area, please share. :)

I think that map is dead. I tried all versions of it, and not one map loaded. I had to uninstall them due to I could not load my others. I wonder if "The Average Strip to Russia" is it replacement?

Nope. What's it like?
It's an American map with soil mod. Made by Stevie, who also made Blackrock Valley. Lakeside has quite a few multi fruits, along with beef, pigs, rabbits, and fat chickens,all in addition to the normal cows and sheep. There is a standard and high definition version of the map. I would call it a medium to large map. There are a few really small fields, but mostly medium to large.

It feels a lot like Blackrock, which makes sense because of the same creator. I like Lakeside because of the soil mod capability though. BTW...Thanks for the replies.Enjoying your videos all the was from Oklahoma

bantikov doors do not open
bantikow seems to conflict with something and just crash my game constantly
Try having only the map in the mods folder and then slowly add from there
try Alsóújlak map, fsportal.hu/mod.php?page=1&id=7402 Its a really authentic map based on a town Alsóújlak in Hungary.its after the system changes in the 90s, you have cows, pigs, chikens, sheeps, forestry, dynamic modelled hungarian trains, and a producing cooperatives as your farm.

Also, you need to walk up to the doors and press O to open the doors sometimes too

Most of the time,all you would need to do is remove the multi fruit mod.
Would that just be in the mod folder where you put all of the other mods?

for me probably all the maps that been created for fs15 is shit, but I agree there is a several maps that you can say, it's really cool. my favourite is a North_Brabant_v1_4, because it's not to big and not to small.Medium size map, it have electronic stuff, multifruits big chicken house and extra animals such as beef pigs. also it have medium size 49 fields... Actually i can create my own map as well but i don't have good ideas how it should look like so i'm playing other peoples maps. :DD.... you can download this map from
