Oversight bodies do have a role in preventing the spread of misinformation and unethical behaviour like doctors diagnosing people they’ve never met/examined/questioned. Where their scope ends is a grey area. Maybe there needs to be an icon or watermark when someone is doing a goofy skit rather than speaking as a doctor so that media consumers know not to take it seriously.

This is difficult & I understand the anxiety over that fine line. With each video I post, I back everything up with scientific, reputable articles. I post a disclaimer as well. But agree, it only takes 1 complainer who is offended &/or angry.

At least half the people on an Oversight board should have hands on experience in the field they are critiquing.

One imprecise cut can cause death of one human. One unthought act can cause many personal tragedies. We should be careful either way what we do or say. One complaint caused so many trouble for a good person.

I appreciate the work you put into your channel! You are right that there needs to be balance with regulation and oversight.

To the oversight board, it seems a line was crossed when he depicted himself slapping another person. I understood the point of his video, and I don't think he should get in trouble for it, but I'd take the hint of not posting videos like that in the future just to be safe.

I would say stop and ask yourself before posting, "Could this post be misinterpreted?" If there is a possibility then don't post the content. It only takes a short time to destroy what it took a lifetime to build.

Totally true. I do find that even when we ask ourselves that question sometimes we are still wrong and surprised
