    Used this for chair rail, crown molding, and wainscoting throughout the house. Was spot on and absolutely the right tool for the job.

    That's a pretty nice one. I have a Huepar 603CG that costs about the same as the Takamine. The Huepar has the power options for a Li-ion, 110V/Mini USB, or 4X AA batteries, so it's more versatile in that regard. However, the Takamine comes with far more accessories. The base and boom appear to be outstanding, especially at the price point. If I needed another one I'd definitely consider the Takamine. I'd definitely get a second battery though.
    Laser levels are one of those things you don't know you need until you get one. They are useful for more than just leveling. I used mine today to to transition LVP flooring through a doorway into another room. The first run in the new room was a 4" rip, and the laser line got that 1st row perfectly straight so I could temporarily screw it down so nothing moved.
    For those on a really tight budget the Tavool Cross Line is a great deal. It only has 2 planes, but for under $35 it's an excellent option for DIY. It was my first and it was great until I dropped it on to concrete from about 6 feet and watched it bounce another 8 feet before hitting a wall. The lines still come on but the horizontal isn't level anymore. That's on me, not Tavool. Remember kids... take care of your tools.
    Makes me sad just typing that out. The Huepar has been great, but I still miss that little Tavool.
    Another A+ video, Mike. Grats on over 5K subs!

      There’s quite a few levels on Amazon that look similar to the Huepar and Takamine. I didn’t see your Tavool on there but for $30-50 you’d have your pick of basic cross lines. The multiple power options is a good idea and would make it almost impossible to be stuck without the tool. I see a lot of small TH-camrs like me cranking out the Amazon tool reviews but I’ve been holding out for the ones that look decent. No point in wasting viewers time with junk just cause I can get it for free. Im glad I took the Takamine, it turned out to be better than expected. As always I appreciate the support! I’ll see ya in the next one!

    Enjoyed and appreciate your review on this laser level, Mike. I was in the market for a new laser after my eighteen year old Stanley, purchased at Menards years back, finally gave up. YOUR review sold me. Purchased this off Amazon and it’s worked flawlessly. Set all perimeter 1900 wall boxes for receptacles, and also 24, 1900 boxes in a ceiling for receptacles, along with 3, 8B boxes for ceiling fans. Eighteen years later and this Takamine Laser was cheaper that than Stanley, originally purchased. This is a better and more versatile unit. Trust your reviews! Thanks for your honest and unbiased opinion. 👍👍

      Thank you! Glad the video helped. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by all of the Amazon laser levels I’ve reviewed so far. All have been accurate and completely functional. Although none are as bright as my Milwaukee cross line. That Takamine in the vid has been my go to 360 degree since the review. The Huepar I did yesterday is very similar though. Thanks as always for watching!

    My first time stumbling across your channel and FWIW I really liked your style. I'll check your previous videos, here's hoping I find more good ones.

    Great video. Just a tip, you could use a water level to check the accuracy of the line at different points around the room rather than a 4ft level.

      I’m the same as you prob use this a few times a year. It’s nice to not spend $500 for a tool to sit on a shelf most of the time. Thanks for watching!

      @@ProjectsForAllReviews For sure. Very thorough examination of all the details and adjustments of the items you review, and it's obvious you actually put things to use and test them before quickly slapping a video online. Appreciate what you're doing.

    can this or the 16 line one do double duty and shoot grade with a tripod and surveyor stick with lazer reciever?

    • @pomz3604
      @pomz3604 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, Mike mentioned that it has a "pulse mode" setting. This allows pulse type laser receivers to pick up the line.
