Three points..
1. Retrospective taxation law has been repealed.
2. Discussion missed two biggest taxation reforms ie, GST and Reduction in corporate taxes ( to be fare both were done outside budget)
3. There's merit in increasing import tariffs(which i don't wholeheartedly support) bcz we will have to create level playing field for domestic manufacturers since they can't compete with china having disfunctional land & labour markets, and huge regulatory burden. Govt tried to reform these but our wonderful opposition's love for socialism stopped them.
