i was sceptical when i went into a kanye project with 7 songs in 2018 but kanye didnt lose a single second of my attention on this project im used to skipping 70% of what major artists have on their project but man this thing is packed with good content it gives you some mean chills, it has old vibes and even implements some new stuff like some zaytoven 808s and the way how he brought partynextdoor to the forefront everybody should really check this out
i feel like kanye intentionally made these albums short (7 tracks) to encourage / keep the listener 'locked on' to all tracks. you wont get fatigued easily and can treat the 'whole album' with respect. (less skipping tracks etc). i feel the track list brings you to his vision/journey of the whole albums intention. like listening to pink floyd albums or similars. this album started strong and ended wow. ksg is another story

He actually did this whole album in about one month. He scrapped his original project after the TMZ thing, and started from scratch. He wanted to feed off of the new energy he was getting from the world and make the album with that energy
It's a shame the media tries to portray Kanye into a single minded "Hip Hop artist". Reading some of the reviews from the big outlets... (Pithfork, Rollingstone) makes me pissed. They want Kanye to be some kind of mad scientist like he was back in 2010. He's changed drastically since then. Kanye opens up on this album and took it seriously in every aspect. I absolutely loved it.
