As someone who sits through the ENTIRE stream but also likes to watch these highlights later on (yes, we exist, people who watch BOTH VERSIONS) I want to applaud you for your editing and attention to detail! It's funny you would say that really good nail artists would make really good surgeons because I am a machinist, and at first it seems weird that someone who works with her hands all day would wear this really elaborate nail art, but I'm used to working with things that have to be precise within .02 or .01mm every day and sometimes .005 on a pretty regular basis, you get really comfortable working on something as little as a pinky nail. Also, since I do work with my hands and my nails get chipped a lot, I get a lot of practice.

I'm happy to see other people doing seasonal nails. I've been getting werid looks from my family for my snowy night sky nails. I wish I had the skills, and or tools, to do stuff like this sort of stuff.

I was using a cheap make up brush to clean up and I dropped it in the acetone bottle and had to fish it out, dumped out half the bottle, and all the paint came off the brush into the acetone…
This is why I have a shot glass specifically for nail art acetone! Plus then if I didn't completely wipe off all the polish I'm not getting that in the big bottle of acetone.

Hey there, so question.... can you paint a regular base coat on before the peely base and have it still peel but also protect the nail??? Thanks and you are a nail art GODDESS!!!
Protect from staining? Peely base needs to be on the bottom but you can add a different base coat on top of that?
I put peely base, then smoothing base for chrome and multi chrome polishes cuz my nails are ridgey, and peely with gel base coat when I’m going to put on gel polish (for stuff that are easier with gel like raindrop nails or certain magnetic polish designs).
I personally have never noticed anything from the peely base that might make protection necessary (allergies, maybe?), but while you could paint a base coat before peely base, the smoother surface of a base-coated nail (as opposed to a nail that was just wiped down with acetone, which is recommended for longevity) would make it easier to pop a peelie prematurely. In addition, if you’re using peely base to avoid soaking off polish with acetone, you’d unfortunately still need to remove the protective base after popping the peelies.
I don’t know if that’s what the original commenter meant, but I was thinking bout the allergy possibility. If I developed an allergy to one of the ingredients, how would I try and maximize peely base longevity (cuz I may still want to peel off my manicure every 3-4 days even if I did 😂😅😅)? I think if I put 2 coats of glossy taco over my nail, then lightly buffed the surface and removed the dust to apply the peely base and the rest of the manicure? I could then peel, buff if needed, then reapply peely base whenever I want to without much acetone, and I’d just remove and replace the glossy taco “base” every couple weeks.

I love everything from Holo Taco but I do have to say the sponges are a bit too hard/not very absorbent. I find better use out of the cheap drug store ones that come in like a pack of 30. No shade, nail polish is great! But I will use the same polish on both drug store sponges and Holo Taco sponges and I’ve never liked the holo ones. They seem to just smear the paint around and don’t actually blend. I use them for other art projects now 😅
