Bro the way you make your money back in music is thru gigs. And the way you get gigs is thru networking, connections, or your booking agency.
In my opinion, Spotify numbers are only for clout and therefore can help you more easily get other artists and labels to say yes when you ask for collabs or send demos.
So did I make my money back or break even from Spotify? No, def not. But did I get more collab opportunities with bigger artists, and get bigger labels to say yes to signing me? Yes.
Gotta be strategic how you use your numbers. It's leverage.
