I am coming from the Callaway RAZR XF Forged irons. Been playing them for around 10 years, but now looking to transition to a more "grown up" iron. These videos are really helping me decide which ones I would like to try out!
@cortasauruss I tried the Cobra Forged Tec at my local Golftown retailer. Did not fall in love like I thought I would. The feel was much harder and louder than our forged XF irons, and it actually hooked more than my XF do right now. I was hoping the less offset would help a little with that. They obviously look much better, but I don't think they will perform any better than the XF. My next to try will be the Mizuno jpx923 forged. I will add, i know the club cannot fox my swing faults. Just the "feel" put me off really.
@@trevormorton8415 Appreciate the reply, I actually blind tested a heap of irons at my local and picked these two to feel the best and performed equally for me. Interesting to see how feel differs between people. The XFs are crazy smooth
@@AskGolfNut it wasn't just that, the heads felt a little like a lead weight on the end of the shaft to me with the Forged Tec. I didn't hit them too bad, just didn't like how they felt in the hand *shrugs*
@@AskGolfNut not as the p790s, I tested the Cobras when I was thinking of going with the ZX5s, and tested both with a Modus 120 shaft I believe. Just didn't like the feel of the Cobra forged tec head 🤷♂ I did like the Cobra Tour though! Those feel pretty nice. Just weren't working as good as the Srixons during the test, so eliminated both of the Cobras.
Oh great one, are you doing a Cobra V i525 comparison?
Hi Steve, I will do if there is enough call for it..... If the comment gets 10 likes I will 😊👍🏻
Excellent video! I believe Californians pronounce La Jolla as “La Hoya”.
I knew I said it wrong 😊👍🏻

Glad that they are helping 👍🏻👍🏻
What did you end up going with? I too am using my XF irons for the past 10 years and looking at these two.

Went with the p790s in the end, and I'm absoultely loving them!
I did try the Cobras too actually, and didn't like the feel of them at all.
They are a slightly louder strike than the P790s, some like, some don't. Glad you are enjoying your new purchase 👍🏻👍🏻

@pickitupgolf276 where they tested with the same shaft in both heads? 👍🏻
