Sooo…Austin is an introvert. ❤This confirmed it. I’m not too surprised because introverts make the best performers. So observant and aware of their surroundings.
it amazes me how many great actors do seem to be introverted, but then I'm horribly introverted and always thought acting seemed like a really interesting job/activity.

Facts, it must be really difficult initially for an introvert to get into acting. But, I imagine once they figure things out, they can act as if no one is watching, which makes them amazing.

I have notice that introverts seem to find it easier to step into a totally different character than themselves,
as they are internally focused. And it’s a way to escape.
Than extroverts.
But that’s just what I’ve noticed in my limited theatre experience.
@Fury1 I study acting and consider myself to be an introvert for sure. I didn't find it difficult to get into because it's sort of like my passion for it would override my tendency to be introverted. But what is difficult for me is if I book a show and it goes on for months ... towards the end of the show I start to feel burned out from seeing the cast every single day and that's where my introversion takes hold.

I don't normally come away from these saying that (who doesn't want to take them all home, right?), but there really did seem like a connection there with he and that kitten. He seems like someone who prefers chill, and that kitten was digging his vibe.
It’s always the quiet kittens you need to be careful of, my girl was like that as well and 2 years later she is hell fire 😂

I love the way Austin kept so calm /comforting for his kitten and didnt upset his kitten by grabbing others. Great sensitivity , serenity and self control.

He has this beautiful, deep voice like a purr..... so it doesn't surprise me the kitten loves it!
He unobtrusively guides the spotlight back to her & even becomes her interviewer at one point. Humble, gentlemanly...but it takes quiet confidence to pull off like this without drawing attention to it. That's very giving.
Florence having a whole conversation with the cat at 6:50 is the highlight of this.

Funny how people see things differently. I liked her even more after this. She has a silly sense of humor and a positive energy. Plus all she was doing here was answering their questions and playing with kittens? lol

i've had the pleasure of meeting austin twice and i can assure you he's this calming and pure in real life. animals can pick up on that energy more than anything else and meepo not leaving his side speaks VOLUMES. florence is a true cat whisperer and these two (plus the precious lil kittens) held my attention the entire time. loooooved this so much.

I hope I never find out anything bad about Austin Butler because he always seems so sweet, gentle and kind. He talks about his mother who passed away SO sweetly and seems genuinely interested in other people and enthusiastic about life in general. I mean obviously he's not a perfect human and has flaws but I hope he really is as sweet as he seems.

Austin Butler being a kitty magnet does not surprise me. He has a "cool" and "independent" energy about him that cats gravitate towards because it's familiar to them. Florence would've done better with puppies; I bet puppies/dogs love her and her energy

Austin’s voice literally is sending me in a trance everytime. I’ve been a fan of him since Carrie diaries! He was one of my crushes.
Its interesting how the kittens are mirroring the energy and persona of the person. The kitten near to Austin is calm and still. The kittens around florence are skatty, playful, and chaotic :) The other thing i noticed about the dune cast (and youll see it here with austin) is when each cast member answers a question for the interviewer, the cast members react as if the answer or comment is 'super' interesting. Here, florence says 'someone got me an apron' and Austin replied 'wooow', but florence hadn't even got to the point of the story yet. The level of support and compliments the cast give eachother is impressive but occasionally over-done. They all seem great though. Tim, Zendaya, Flo, Austin, Javier, Josh, etc. This interview with just Flo and Austin was the most casual i have seen.
it's quite cynical to assume that when someone says "wow" they can't possibly mean it, even casually, for something small.
They are in fact PROMOTING each other and the film they're all in. I know they're saying "wow" more than they need to. But to assume it's fake is cynical and a bit sad for you.

Austin Butler has come a long way in his career, from Disney and Nickelodeon and the formerly known as ABC Family (I don't remember seeing him in Switched at Birth, but that's just an excuse to finally rewatch the series again and finally finish it this time).
