This is such a great video! You covered every question I had on the subject. Your sister's position is where I'm at, too. A schedule, even if arbitrary, really helps. :) Perhaps living according to the phases of the moon is also helpful because unlike calendar months, lunar cycles are more consistent. Hehe I also chuckled a bit over the bold promises of the moon book. The word "Lunacy" came to mind. And using astrology led to less than "Stellar" results lol. Thanks for a great show!
Thank you! Loved your astrological pun... that's a good one 😆. And I'm glad I covered all your questions! I absolutely think there is something to being aligned with the moon phases in our own lives and I've no doubt it affects many things (as a parent of young children I can tell you exactly when we're coming up on a full moon 😂). I'm hard pressed to believe assigning properties to certain astrological signs has much to do with anything though. I'd love for someone to come along & change my mind-- but I've just not seen enough evidence. Thanks for watching! Take care & happy first day of spring!
The only thing is, planting things one day apart isn't going to really make a noticeable difference. The order of the cosmos isn't like flipping a light switch, one day is" good", the next day is "bad". I would plant some in the middle of a "good" cycle and others in the middle of a "bad" cycle, which is about two weeks apart, if I recollect correctly, then compare the two.
Here in the tropical Puerto Rico we plant by the phase of the moon and we do see the big difference of our plants especially our harvest, and insect infestation and health growth cycle of the plant. We swear by it. All our organic fruit harvest is healthy especially up in the north west mountain region.
I've been aware of this subject for years. My parents were believers in following the moon signs when planting the garden. I made it easy to follow by picking up a free calendar at my local feed and seed store. It has all the info like the farmers almanac, printed on every day of the year, so it's easy to see when the signs change and what garden tasks are best on every day. I have followed it this year to see if it helps, it can't hurt! Great subject and enjoyed your video very much. Thanks for the lesson and for sharing. BTW, I transplanted my first batch of broccoli to the garden containers yesterday. (zone 7b) I have a small plastic covered frame that I set over the containers at night, so I'll do that for a week or so. They are looking great and had got way too big to keep inside. I guess I may have started them a little early :) Take care.
Using a guide like that definitely makes it easier! And you're absolutely right- it can't hurt. I'm glad your broccoli is looking great. In 7b this should be just about the optimal time to be setting transplants out- so I wouldn't worry that you've done it too early. Take care & have a great week!
Planting by the moon is more to do with growth and yield. Yes, the water table is higher with full moon. The location of the moon by zodiac sign I believe has to do with past weather patterns. I think it’s much better to go by the moon then planting potatoes on Good Friday, which I gave up that old custom as that date moves around a lot. 🌝 A crescent moon in the cupped position is said to be holding water and rain should be in the forecast 🌙 and I believe a sun dog means future rain. A moon halo also means unsettled weather coming. Fun stuff!
Been a nasty cold windy day here also. First day of spring and woke up to 28 degrees. Now that is how ya kick off Spring! LOL. Great info on the moon planting. Rene gets a gardeners calendar every year. While she goes by it for planting her stuff, While I really don't pay it any attention. I go by what the weather is going to be. You and I have been gardening long enough to know when the time is right to Git-R-Done! Stay safe and have a wonderful weekend!
I'm with you CB-- I typically just go by that forecast. I plant when I can get things in the ground, especially in the spring! Surprisingly, our first day of spring was quite pleasant- 50 & sunny. Not typically the case here, but I'll take it-- especially the sun! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend as well!
I love the way you explained this, and it all makes sense to me. To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
It seems very good talking while taking tea ,I ,m gonna try to understand planting by moon ,how it is & what and which way is it. I have downloaded your video and watching it repeatedly to grasp the real purpose of this video ok thank you my sweet sister ,always be happy !
I’ve heard of this as well. The woo woo element always made me hesitant. I’m glad you brought in the scientific element. I’m always open to new thoughts on the garden. I like your sisters thoughts. 😊
I'm with you-- I wish I had been able to find more concrete scientific evidence, but it's just not something conventional science pays a whole lot of attention to. Thanks for watching & happy first day of spring!
Thanks, CJM Farms! I absolutely encourage everyone to try this for themselves-- I'm so curious to hear if other folks have different results. If you do give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think! Take care & Happy First Day of Spring!
Impressed that you had enough open-mindedness and patience to try this out. I don't think it's so crazy to wonder if something could affect gardening if it so obviously affects tides (maybe if you think of groundwater like an ocean). But it seems just like it's pure astrology though which is more about culture than science.
Thanks, Hayley! The moon affecting things part of it does make sense to me. The part about planting when the moon is in certain zodiac signs just seems too far out there- like you said, based more in a cultural belief than science. But some folks are so passionate about it I just had to try it! Take care & I hope you have a wonderful week!
Thanks for the experiment. I have been wanting to do that to test the theory. So far so good with transplanting trees and 100% germination with seeds. My father swore by this method and he was a great gardener. I am trying it this year for the first time.
I'm glad to hear you're having great results, Amy! I'd love to hear your opinion at the end of the season-- if you think you'll stick with doing it this way. Thanks for sharing & take care!
I've used the Farmer's Almanac site before and planted things according to they're calendar. I had good results, but never tried it compared to planting on a different day like you did here. I agree that having any kind of a schedule helps a lot. Thanks for sharing- this was an informative video.
The Gardener's personal energy and hormones excreting from the fingertips ;the whole entire mood often has its 28 days cycle. I really appreciated the comment by your sister: in organizing ' that made perfect sense. The Farmer's almanac also encourages when to cut your grass and when to cut your hair based on the lunar cycle.. Thank you for a very intriguing Sunday morning Garden vibes; you have a new subscriber 💚thanks to finding you on a shared tweet via Twitter. #TERPS 🌱💚
There may indeed be something to that! You are very welcome- I'm glad you found the subject intriguing. Thank you for the support & I hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
Awesome video. I grow with an 87-year-old man that grows by cycles. I always paid attention if it was frost hardy or not and planet when I have the time :-) we are experimenting with no till versus telling compost tea and so on. I’m trying to learn this time to plant cycle stuff. Happy growing

The next experience I be doing … if any one want to help. Again, a fruit seed, or any seed’s. Alone areas that are low tree 🌳 and no fruits. I being tossing seeds out of my window 🪟 🚙… like if I go to the beach. On the middle sections where is grass .. I open my window, slow down ( no car 🚘 behind me) and I toss seeds from oranges 🍊, mandarins, apples 🍏, papaya 🍒🍉… I have on that small section is on my car door, I keep seeds there. And as I drive either to Orlando FL, or the beach 🏝️ or Ocala. I take back roads and toss the seeds out in the grass Namaste 🙏 @lorena.Longo.11
Happy spring! My neighbor (70's from west virgina) at our last place talked about planting by the moon when she saw me set up my first 4x12 raised bed with pvc irrigation. I had mixed thoughts based on my lack of experience. Which I still lack...lol. Great to see you did a trial last year. My interest has been spiked! Trials to follow if not this year then next year for sure! Very interesting to say the least!! Great topic to get the mind thinking about how our ancestors did. They were obviously successful!😉
Oooh- I'd love to hear your results if you do try this! And I agree- even though my experiment didn't support the theory, I'm still very interested in this topic. Take care & enjoy the remainder of your weekend. Happy spring to you as well!
An off topic question...I just received castor bean seeds. Do you direct sow or start indoors? The goal is to grow huge plants like yours and suprise my better half this summer! What a beautiful sunny weekend we had! I'm up to 5 30" x 47' beds with 6" of compost and 3 drip lines in each bed. It's coming along! Thanks as always!
@@tan2230 how fun! Typically I start my castor beans indoors, but only about 2-3 weeks prior to my desired transplant date. They grow SUPER fast. That being said, you can easily direct sow them as well, and they will still get giant. Last year I started them in biodegradable peat pots (the kind where you can bury the whole pot) so that I wouldn't have to disturb the roots when transplanting, and that worked really well. And yes- this weekend was glorious! Sounds like you've got an awesome set up there.
Nice video...interesting and challenging. And who doesn't want to know more about growing a better garden?! Have played around with the signs somewhat off and on. One thing to be noted was WHEN a sign was moved into during the day. If you were in Virgo that morning but the sign was changing to Libra that afternoon.....one might actually plant in a barren sign if they planted that morning but a fruitful sign if they planted in the afternoon. The signs do not change at the stroke of midnight as the date would. With all that said, if you are wanting to plant according to wax and wane---sometimes the signs do not match up with the wax and wane. Thereby, I have decided to get a farming calendar from the feed store or Amazon and try to do the best I can with the wax and wane but still study the sign method. Maybe something will really click one day and I will have see the light. Jesus bless.
Hey. I’m from the Caribbean. Relatively new to gardening but I’ve picked a couple of things from the older heads. So I did som research as well. For now based on my experiences. Three days prior to a new moon is when I would start germinating seeds. Which hard the best results for tomatoes in terms of germination an growth. Hope this added to the woo woo😄 or scientific aspect of our gardening projects. Appreciated your research as well.
We’ve been planting by full moon for years, but very simply… for example our calendar says Full Moons are around the 16th-18 this Spring 2022 here in CA, so we plant a week before full moon ie. around the 10-12 (watering them with saved rain water for extra boost =) I’m certain It helps for sprouting, especially stubborn seeds! I don’t know about the timing of the rest such the trimming, weeding, etc.
Im going to try this but don't want to get bogged down in over complicating the process. It makes sense with new moon, full moon planting pruning harvest phases affecting water sap and roots but not sure anything else is really necessary.
I would prefer to see this expirament done planted in waxing vs waning, rather than 1 day apart. I'm less interested in what sign the moon is under, more interested in full vs new moon planting
Ooooh... that would make a really interesting test. I would love to replicate my experiment on a large scale. I wonder if I could convince any of my local farmers to plant half their field on an 'optimal' day and half on a 'barren' day!? Probably not, but it would be really interesting! Take care & enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
I purposely don't water when seedlings are young. Once they emerge I don't water when direct sowing and planting by the lunar phases does help in that context. I'm sure what I'm saying wouldn't apply in an arid climate but I'm in Michigan. So if you water your plants regularly you might not notice any difference in plant growth. Also lettuce and peas are really easy to grow plants. I think some of the more finicky types of plants would be better test candidates if you want to see a more dramatic difference. Also things that bolt instead of remaining bushy can be related to planting time but it's not the only reason that happens. I think lunar planting was more important when it was difficult, if not impossible to construct elaborate irrigation systems for crops in more primitive situations throughout history. Thanks for the video
Well, I'm old school, but not with moon planting. Hahaha besides my wife and I are Aquarius, born on the same day (I'm a year older, but she says she's a year smarter lol), and it seems we were left out of the growing phase lol. All and all, I did like and really enjoyed your video and research on the subject. Big Thumbs Up!!!
Haha, I appreciate your wife's comment- sounds like something my husband would say 😂. No worries- I was left out of the 'growing' phase too, as a Gemini. It's definitely an interesting topic, even though my experiment didn't support it. Thanks for watching & enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
I think the point you're missing is back to back days aren't enough time difference. A day on either side of your timeline likely can be "close enough" especially considering the moon is moving through the skies and signs not only at night, but all day. So one "day" begins a 12:01am and ends at 11:59pm, according to the modern slave labor calendar. However it's also common to begin celebrating a holiday with the evening prior to the day or date. In conclusion, your experiment was faulty because you chose days too close together. If anyone else were to try this, they could be much more thorough and actually testing, by moving their plantings fully into a different quarter. Also consider, pruning causes dieback during the first quarter, so that would be another visual test. However, both the elementary test attempted in this video and my above suggestion, need more than just a week or two to see the difference. Check findings at the end of the season. Did the batch planted on optimum days produce more fruit by the end of the season? This was not a very scientific video. I wouldn't trust someone trying to test a theory that isn't even interested in fully understanding it.
I intentionally chose back to back days using the charts in the book, as this would give the most accurate comparison. The trouble with spacing them out into different quarters is that you are introducing too many variables for the comparision to be accurate, such as different weather patterns.
The farmers almanac give a very broad planting window of dates and tipically falls on barren signs as well as fertile signs. It seems to be to broad and may be the reason I have heard people say the farmers almanac is nonsense.
Found your vid this morning, while planning my next round of summer crops for my northern beds (Im in so. cal on the ocean). Lettuces and summer spinach are going in, im so very fortunate that I have these beds to grow my greens in! Lunar planting is something that my whole family has always gardened by, and I am refreshing my memory while I plan out my next round of greens, beets and sweet potatoes! Thanks for the great refresher and hope your summer proves fruitful!
It’s so weird that the moons gravity effect would depend on how much light it reflects. The moon passes over us every 24 hours whether we see it or not.
I dont work with the signs the moon is in just the phases and its worked for me. My grandfather planted by the moon and swore by it too. Dont see it would make a difference one day to the next though, as was reflected in your experiment. Yep has a lot to do with the water content rising and falling :)
It would've been nice to see you do a few more experiments... Especially ones when you'd plant for each phase of the moon. Although that wold be 8... Because I can see why the results for the April 1st and April 2nd would be similar, because if you happen to plant within a few degrees of the zodiac sign next to it, which is called a cusp, then there are a lot of influences from the other sign. Also, I'm not sure if you were using a tropical system or a sidereal... And also, not sure if you were using the actual signs lengths in degrees... Or if you were using equal house (30° each). The zodiac signs are all different lengths in reality. Some signs taking up twice as much as others. I know Aries is small... About 18°...? I think. And I believe Virgo or Libra is really long.
Haha-- I don't blame you Chris, the weather is definitely my determining factor in planting time! Thanks for watching & have a great remainder of the weekend!
I agree that timing is incredibly important! Obviously, practices would vary greatly from tribe to tribe, but I'm curious if you have any information on how Native Americans would have used the moon in planting. When I was researching phenology for my 'Planting by Nature's Signs' video I found quite a few references to Native American tribes using phenological signs (though they didn't call them such) to decide when to take on important tasks, including planting. But I've not yet come across any information regarding the use of moon signs or phases for planting (though I know the phases of the moon and position of the stars & constellations has historically been of upmost importance to Native Americans). Living in harmony with nature's cycles is something that many (most?) of us have lost as modern humans and learning how to get back to that rhythm would be beneficial in many ways. I'm still not sold on timing my planting up to match certain zodiac signs, but I do think the phases of the moon undoubtedly affect things in our lives and it would make sense that it would affect plants as well. I appreciate any insight you might have! Take care & enjoy the rest of your weekend!
@@GrowfullywithJenna planting with the moon phases in mind worked well a while ago. It’s seems that what’s been going on in our skies, we have to do our best to just take care of the plants and trees we’re growing. I read your response to my mom & she said what we do today will effect the next 7 generations...she’s asked me several times why the sky is changing... I wonder how using greenhouses will help with this. We do bless each seed & thank it for the gifts we receive.
@@threeblindmice369 I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right. And your mother is a wise woman-- this is something myself and many others need to keep in mind. Thinking about how our actions & decisions stretch far into the future... we're affecting more than just ourselves. Thank you for sharing.
It all depends on either Tropical Astrology, Sidereal Astrology, or Sidereal Equal Astrology. If you use the Tropical in northern part of the country which has cold weather and snow will not be in harmony with the universal flow of the planets and the moon. You will not be in the correct seeds, plants and so on with the correct elements. In the northern states such as Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and so on it is best to use the Sidereal Equal Astrology for your plants, roots plants, vegetable, fruits, and flowers.
Which is what one would expect to happen. However, if the claims that planting by the phase of the moon and the sign the moon are to be believed, the seeds I planted during the optimal phase and sign should have out-performed in some way (better germination, faster growth, etc.) the ones planted during a 'no-grow' sign.
There is additional information on this, I wanted to do experiments on this but my age is catching up to me. There is information that could slow down or stop aging, I would have to work with somebody who has land or owns a farm,
Definitely worth the watch. The peek at your garden made me smile. It is beautiful! 😃 ✌&❤ from Aromas California! I hope this year brings abundance and good health. I know it's irrelevant to your video but what did you have to do to get sponsored by a seed company? Was it as simple as just asking that company to send you seeds and letting them know you were building a demonstration site that they would go towards? Thanks in advance for enlightening me further.
Thanks Ryan- that clip of garden was from this past October and the colors just floored me. I think that's the loveliest the garden was all year! Regarding your question-- I'm not sponsored. The way I came into what I'm doing now has a bit of a backstory. For 15+ years I worked in merchandising, marketing and R&D for a home gardening company called Gardens Alive, based out of Indiana & Ohio. Within the company I did a little bit of everything through the years-- from writing catalog copy & orchestrating photography to managing their field trials. Several years ago I decided to strike out on my own. But Gardens Alive still needed a trial manager, so I arranged to continue running trials on a contract basis- essentially I work as a consultant for their company. Now of course, working in the horticultural industry for so many years, I've developed a lot of relationships with other vegetable & flower seed breeders. I still get trial seeds from many of these folks every year, in exchange for my detailed feedback on how they performed in my growing conditions. That being said, I don't see any reason you couldn't contact seed companies and pitch the idea that you'd be willing to trial seeds for them. I would think that some of them would be interested in having you do this. The other thing you might consider is becoming involved with an organization like SeedLinked www.seedlinked.com/ You can sign up to trial seeds for them. They will send you seeds for free, but in return you need to provide information about how the varieties performed for you. I hope this answers your question! Take care & have a wonderful week!

I am now wishing I would have filmed that part, but can tell you (as this was filmed several years ago) that there was no difference at all in the yields.
Sorry about that, the old Philosopher's knew what it was, we have plants that are associated with the sun like sunflowers plants associated with the Moon like bananas, plants associated with Mars like cactus and Thorn bushes, the old Philosopher's and Alchemists speak about the oil of gold you could extract from a plant associated with gold like the sunflower oil, but you did not extract it like they do today. You had to do this a certain way or you would ruin the virtue of the oil of gold, there are substances in the oil that promote life and health, if you extract it the wrong way you destroy the virtue of the oil of gold, what do you think essential oils are but the are ruined during processing also, if you went into another dimension sun flowers would be made of pure gold and banana trees would be made of silver, then you come back to this life and they are just trees, nothing but ordinary trees, but you could still extract the gold and silver virtue from them called essential oils. These could be used for healing, there is so much to know, it would take me days or maybe months to disclose all there is to know concerning these spiritual virtues of Supernatural oriigin, we know so little,
Sunflowers are not really a tree, they are more of a garden plant but there are trees related to the sunflower, just like mango is related to poison ivy, that is why so many people are alrrgic to mango. They are probably ruled by Saturn which is a star of rigor and times of tribulation and death,
Anything ruled by Saturn is associated with the element lead, but lead isn't always bad, we learn our greatest lessons through trials and tribulations,
Yeah planting by the moon is absolute rubbish unfortunately. You can prove it scientifically : neither the light (too weak) nor gravity (too weak too, on plants) will have any effect on your seedlings. The light from you streetlights will have more of an effect than a full moon, and so will planting next to a tall building, from a gravitational field point of view... But more importantly, it has been proven time and time again that it doesn't make a difference sowing on a "bad" moon day. The first documented proof was from one of Louis XIV's gardeners, in the 17th century... Yet there are still millions of gardeners who follow the lunar calendar or even more complex calendars like in biodynamic gardening... Both of those practices are nothing but myth. If it's part of your religious belief, fine, it's a free country. But what I don't like is when people claim biodynamic gardening makes everything taste better (which is nonsense) or that a lunar calendar is better and that things won't grow on a "barren" day.
It certainly didn't make any difference in the little test I ran, but whatever 'floats your boat' as the saying goes. If folks want to follow the lunar calendar, more power to them!
This is such a great video! You covered every question I had on the subject. Your sister's position is where I'm at, too. A schedule, even if arbitrary, really helps. :)

It seems very good talking while taking tea ,I ,m gonna try to understand planting by moon ,how it is & what and which way is it. I have downloaded your video and watching it repeatedly to grasp the real purpose of this video ok thank you my sweet sister ,always be happy !
Hi Akhtar- is planting by the moon signs or phases something that is done in Pakistan?
Thank you for sharing this 🙏 wonderful video
Happy to share!
Somehow every time I go out to sow seeds it rains afterwards and the moon phase is always right...I never know until after I'm done ❤🌱🫛
LOL I really want a garden to. That was a lot of good information. Keep up the amazing work👍👍👍👍
At least you tried LOL before I heard the end of it I was actually going to do it that way
Laugh out loud I'm definitely going to try it👍👍👍
Thanks, CJM Farms!
Fascinating! Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely going to check out this book.
It is definitely an intriguing concept!
I will let you know.
@@amyr505 thank you!
I've used the Farmer's Almanac site before and planted things according to they're calendar. I had good results, but never tried it compared to planting on a different day like you did here. I agree that having any kind of a schedule helps a lot. Thanks for sharing- this was an informative video.
A schedule definitely helps! I'm glad you've had good results with the Farmer's Almanac planting dates. Take care & have a great day!

Thank you- glad to hear that you are experimenting with different methods. It's always a learning process isn't it? Take care!
My papaw always planted this way, and I'm doing the same this year :)
I'm glad to hear you're carrying on your papaw's tradition! Take care & enjoy the remainder of your weekend- Happy planting!
Interesting topic- thanks for sharing.

Hi. Thanks for your knowledge and charring it with us… the #collective
I being doing some #fullmoonplanting , so that all the energy goes to #underground - also I #experimented with #platicbags as soon 🔜 as the #plant 🌱 had its 1st #twoleaves 🌱, I put the #plastic #bag #around the #sprout, and #dirt on top! To #NOWATERING …. When on vacation and Come back to a #plant 🪴 that has full big leaves … the #seeds was for cantaloupe 🍈… watermelon 🍉 and cucumber 🥒
When I put my finger 👆#under-plastic-bag …. My fingers come out moist. Then I set there and observe
#NOWEEDS plant when from 🌱 🪴 and #dirtismoist ?!?!?
Ah 💡 🤩 the heat that Florida had on the week I when on vacation up north to NJ, my plants were getting wet by the condescension the plastic made … so my dirt was NO drying
… it was actually moist and feeding each drops 💦 the plants.
Now 2 days ago… after the full moon, I said let me plant peanut 🥜
Something I being wanted to do for a while. I am on Florida #thevillage’s is what this #beautifull golf cart roads is about. We don’t usually drive cars 🚘
The locals. We rather drive a GOLF ⛳️ Cart. So the peanuts 🥜 should bloom fast and grow like weeds.
After the full moon is what I saw on all info ℹ️ online.
The ones that gives flowers 🌺 and them a fruit 🍎… I always plant or move them crescent 🌙 moon.
I read all the energies goes to the plant that is sprouting 🌱
I being taking my banana 🍌 peal, coffee ☕️ grain and egg 🥚 shells and placing it on a 5G bucket 🪣… then water … let it concentrate
And this water is like magic 🪄 for my plants.
All the scraps of food. I pitch in that bucket 🪣… like the skin of avocado 🥑… or the skin of onions 🧅… I pitched in there and let it dissolve into the water … even the bread 🥖 I pitched into that bucket.
And I used that water for 1 once a week watering my planters with flowers 🌸… or things on the huge 30g buckets 🪣
Experiment 🔬 that turn out magical.
#grass could be grown this way too
So we never have to water it…
In hot 🥵 climates.
I take back roads and toss the seeds out in the grass
Namaste 🙏

I found it quite interesting as well! Thanks for watching & take care!
@@GrowfullywithJenna Awesome! Thanks for the advise! I'll share some photos in the near future. Have a great week!
@@tan2230 Please do, I'd love to see them!
Thanks so much for sharing!
I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. Where you from Avin?
This was very interesting thank you
You are welcome, John. Take care!
That's good to know! I appreciate you sharing your experience!
Hi Jen 💕🔯🕎have a blessed day yes planting by the moon potatoes my dad and us boys planted them
You have a blessed day as well, Roger.
I actually saw a difference but noticed it was subtle.
Good to know! Which crops did you plant using this method?
I think the reason you didn't see a difference is you didn't wait a few days more after each phase. Planting a day after each phase?
But is the book she's following, so is the book not adding up
Im going to try this but don't want to get bogged down in over complicating the process. It makes sense with new moon, full moon planting pruning harvest phases affecting water sap and roots but not sure anything else is really necessary.
I'd love to hear how it goes for you!
I would prefer to see this expirament done planted in waxing vs waning, rather than 1 day apart. I'm less interested in what sign the moon is under, more interested in full vs new moon planting
Give it a try! I'd love to hear what happens!
🇨🇦🧑🌾👉My Grandparents planted by the moon always....the last full moon in May (27th-29th) for Planting seed Potato for sure.

Interesting. The local farmers post moon phases for planting
Ooooh... that would make a really interesting test.
Good one :)
Thanks!
The lettuce I can clean see a difference. The ones on the left are bigger. More growth.
The farmers almanac give a very broad planting window of dates and tipically falls on barren signs as well as fertile signs.
It seems to be to broad and may be the reason I have heard people say the farmers almanac is nonsense.
Thanks
You're welcome!
Love hearing the tradition of the whole family planting using the lunar method! Best wishes for a bountiful season!
It’s so weird that the moons gravity effect would depend on how much light it reflects. The moon passes over us every 24 hours whether we see it or not.
I have heard that if you put posts in the ground while full moon, they will raise out of the ground. Not all the way of coarse. Old farmers stories.
Now THAT would make an interesting experiment! I may have to test that out 😀. Take care!
I dont work with the signs the moon is in just the phases and its worked for me. My grandfather planted by the moon and swore by it too. Dont see it would make a difference one day to the next though, as was reflected in your experiment. Yep has a lot to do with the water content rising and falling :)
Thanks for sharing your experience!
I highly encourage you, and everyone who is interested, to set up their own experiments. 💚 Definitely worth testing out for yourself!
I have heard about this before, but I don't get how this works at all. Good video, but I will just stick to the weather Chanel, lol.
Haha-- I don't blame you Chris, the weather is definitely my determining factor in planting time! Thanks for watching & have a great remainder of the weekend!
Honestly I thought the barren day plantings looked better hahaha
38 degrees is very inclined 🤔, that's why the rain flows sideways
Timing is everything. Being Native American, I agree with this. You’re growing leaps and bounds. Happy planting 🌻🌾🌱🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

Any idea which version the Llewelyn's book I referenced is using?
You only planted them one day apart so yeah they are definitely going to look the same
Which is what one would expect to happen.
There is information that could slow down or stop aging, I would have to work with somebody who has land or owns a farm,
Best of luck with this
❤❤❤
Dont think one day apart is enough. Try a waxing vs waning period, so like a week or two apart.

But ,but ,but what about climate change affecting the moon. I'm gonna have to check with Al Gore.
Ha
😂
Lettuce won't show that much plant sets will 🕎🔯
The peas didn't show a difference either- what plants would you recommend trying this with?
Look what gematria in Hebrew the letters are numbers. Finding hidden scripture in the bible everything is connected 🕎🔯selah 🕎
